Did I absolutely devour The Next Mrs. Parrish? Yes, yes, I did. What a wonderful sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish.
This book picks up perfectly where the last left off. Two strong and persistent yet flawed women moving on after life with Jackson Parrish.
Jackson is fresh out of prison and as emotions are running high and funds running low, he already begins stirring things up with ex-wife Daphne and ex-wife Amber.
Daphne is dragged back into the mix of Amber and Jackson's drama against her better judgement. And everyone knows Daphne has always been Jackson Parrish's only TRUE love.
Amber is on the move as she knows her time is coming to an end. Daphne will do whatever it takes to protect her children. And Jackson only cares about his wants and nobody else.
We also get introduced to an old "friend" of Amber who will do whatever it takes to make her pay for what she did in the past.

This book is FULL of diabolical twists and turns while a real-life game of Cat & Mouse plays before your eyes. I was entertained and in aw this entire book up until the very last page.

Thank you, Random House Publishing- Ballantine, Liv Constantine Sisters, and Net Galley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

My thanks to Net Galley, Random House, and Ballantine to this follow up to The Last Mrs Parrish, which I LOVED.

Jax and Amber are back wrecking havoc on each other and Daphne. Both are still horrible people. Jax gets out of prison and makes a deal with Amber to put a plan in motion to.use his daughters as pawns to get Daphne back into his life. A new character, Daisy Ann, from Amber's past is introduced in a sub story which ties into Amber.

I was a bit underwhelmed at first. The prior book had be glued to the first part before it flipped to the big surprise in the second half. This did not do that. It had separate POVs with Jackson, Amber, Daisy, and Daphne that felt as 4 separate story lines, However, toward the end it picked up with a lot of backstabbing twists. I recommend!

I missed some of the characters from the Mrs. Parrish series written by Liv Constantine. Daphne and Amber, two strong but flawed women who fight for what they want and sometimes go way too far. Add in their common (ex)-husband, and you've got a lot of of drama. Amber is terrible. Daphne is lovely but even she had some moments. Toss in the new main character, Daisy Ann, and you've got a multi-dimensional cast. Suspenseful... so many times I couldn't tell who would one-up the other. I had to read the ending twice to figure out all the connections. Glad to see it come to a conclusion tho!

Before you start The Next Mrs. Parrish, make sure you go to audible and listen to Liv Constantine’s “The First Shot”, a prequel to Ambers life before she became The Last Mrs. Parish.

If I am being honest here, the title of the sequel is confusing. I do feel that the titles should have been reserved. I fail to understand why this one is titled The Next Mrs. Parrish.

I will, however, say that whatever love you may have had left over for Jackson and Amber from the first book is COMPLETELY stomped on in this book. Liv Constantine does an amazing job of painting these characters exactly how they need to be for you to feel exactly the way they want you to feel about them!

Overall, I enjoyed the book. I loved the character development as Daphne as a mother and the real struggles she faced navigating, as a woman and mother, having to decide how to keep her children safe mentally. We got to see more of the kids and how they have to learn a new normal and trust that their mother is only doing what she believes is best to protect them.
However, I also felt it to be repetitive and long. Only 336 pages, but the center of the book lost me. I felt it took much too long to get to something “thrilling” and was asking myself why it was classified as a psychological thriller, then it was kinda just wrapped up really quickly in the last 30 or so pages and tied up with a nice bow.

Overall, I would rate this book a 3.5 stars. Thank you NetGalley and Randomhouse Publishing for the Advanced Readers Copy in exchange for my honest opinion!

The Last Mrs. Parrish is one of my favorite thrillers, completely for the twists and shock factor. I knew I had to read this when I saw there would be a sequel! I enjoyed it, but it didn't hit quite as good as the first one — but that would be hard to replicate! I did like the addition of Daisy Ann, a new character's POV and trying to figure out how she was connected to Amber, Daphne, and Jackson. Parts felt slow to me, but things picked up at the end — I think I read the second half all in 1 day. If you loved the first one, definitely check this out!

I enjoyed the first Mrs. Parrish novel, so I was excited to see a sequel was written. This book started off a little slow. But the multiple POVs made the story engaging and by the time I was 50% into the book, I was hooked. Jackson and Amber are awful human beings but I still had to stay up late to finish it. Overall, this was a fun read with some great twisty parts and an absolutely satisfying (although slightly rushed) ending.

The first book, was great so I was nervous this wouldn't live up to the first one, but Liv Constantine absolutely crushed it! I read this book in less than 48 hours, I couldn't put it down.

When I saw this on NetGalley, I couldn't wait to get back into the world of Daphne and Amber. I love how their world is all connected and without giving too much away, I was on edge to see what would happen between everyone. This book was full of twists and was very entertaining. Thank you to Netgalley and Random House and Ballantine Books for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

As a fan of The Last Mrs. Parrish, I couldn't NOT read this! Unfortunately, it didn't quite work for me but I appreciate the authors giving us more of this story and trying to replicate the magic. We pick up where we left off, with Jackson in jail, Amber continuing to be horrible, and Daphne starting a life of her own with her children across the country. Jackson and Amber are just terrible, terrible people, and sometimes it was fun to read about but other times it felt like too much, and some of the domestic abuse scenes were really scary, and impacted me more than when I read TLMP, probably just because I've gotten older. There was so much happening in this book that made it hard to put down, but I wouldn't exactly call it an enjoyable read just because it was so disturbing.

Thank you to Random House Publishing company for providing me a copy of Liv Constantine book. I am a huge fan of these authors and have read all the books they have written. Liv Constantine is the pen name written by two authors who are sisters one is named Lynne the other Valerie thus the combination of their names. This book was the #2 in the series and can be read as a stand alone. This book was engaging and quick to read it was suspense and hard to stop reading. The previous characters are there along with a new sibling.

Another hit! The Next Mrs. Parrish takes off where the first ended, although it completely stands alone. I loved this book and will definitely be purchasing it for our library.

"The Next Mrs. Parrish" emerges as this year's most eagerly awaited thriller, following the success of "The Last Mrs. Parrish." If you were captivated by the first installment, prepare to be enthralled by this gripping sequel!

Returning to the stage are Jackson, Daphne, and Amber. Jackson, recently released from prison, grapples with conflicting emotions towards his ex-wife Daphne and his current spouse Amber, all while facing financial strain. Amber, though currently married to Jackson, senses her time in the spotlight dwindling, yet hopes to secure a safety net for herself. Meanwhile, Daphne, Jackson's true love, seeks distance but finds herself drawn back into his orbit when their daughter expresses a desire to reconnect. Reluctantly, Daphne agrees to supervised visits.

The plot unfolds with intricate twists and turns that kept me on edge until the very end. What impressed me the most was the seamless pacing of this sequel—no repetitive or sluggish moments bogged down the narrative. Instead, the story hurtles forward with relentless momentum, keeping readers engaged throughout.

Thank you @netgally + @random house for gifting me a ARC.

I absolutely love liv. I was so excited when I heard this one was coming out. It did not disappoint at all. I would definitely recommend it. 5 out of 5 stars.

Not realizing this was a sequel at first I had no problem jumping into the world of Daphne, Amber and Daisy Anne and following along. Told from three viewpoints you root for characters to succeed and to fail. While an easy read with lots of twists and turns it overall felt too long.

3.5
A follow-up to The Last Mrs. Parrish, The Next Mrs. Parrish plays similar games but not the same recipe. I feel like they are on par with each other. If you liked the Last MP, I'm guessing you'll feel similar for the Next MP.

Unlikeable characters with the exception of one that you're rooting for. Children involved that creates problems only because some of the parents want the best for their children, other parents take advantage of the children aspect.

There were some great twists that I didn't see coming and a few that I did see. Of course there were some situations where I needed to suspend some disbelief for the enjoyment of the book. At times I was cool with it and other times it was stretching me a bit.

Overall, it'll make for a great beach/poolside read when you want pure book popcorn enjoyment.

Thank you to NetGalley and Ballantine for the advance e-copy of this book.

The Last Mrs Parrish was one of my favorite books so when I saw Liv was coming out with a second book, I couldn't read it fast enough! I wasn't sure where this was going to take readers after the ending of the first but I was not disappointed! I was rooting for Daphne and was on the edge of my seat to find out what would happen next between her, Jackson and the sneaky Amber.

The Next Mrs Parrish was an interesting but ultimately unnecessary sequel to The Last Mrs Parrish. The book is told from 3 povs: Amber, Daphne, and new character Daisy Ann. Amber is still married to Jackson and up to her old tricks. Jackson is about to be released from prison and Daphne returns with the girls to Bishops Harbor to visit him.
My biggest frustration with the book was Daphne.
She learned nothing from the events of the first book and it costs her in this book.
I would recommend reading the novella The First Shot about Amber’s back story in order to understand Daisy Ann’s part in this book. Overall, I enjoyed learning what happened to Amber and Jackson but was disappointed in Daphne’s story and lack of character development.

Let me first start off by saying that I don’t normally love sequels so when I saw this book pop up, although I loved the first one, my expectations were super high. Boy was I wrong. I loved this book so much. I hated Amber and Jackson with every bone in my body and just wanted the best for many other characters. I finished this book in one day because I could not put it down until I got a happy ending and thank goodness we did. I did feel like the book was a bit slow in the beginning and middle at points but overall, I really enjoyed this one!

I really liked “The Last Mrs. Parrish” and was so excited to receive an ARC from NetGalley. I appreciate the book in exchange for my honest review.

I felt the first book was great and didn’t feel there needed to be a sequel. This book did not work for me. I didn’t like the premise as it’s basically forcing Daphne back into the same situation as the first book. It’s multiple points of view, there are plot twists that felt out of left field. I understand that you want to create surprise but there should be some bread crumb.

I’m more of a romance reader and love a strong female MC and a HEA. This book gave me neither.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine for an eARC of this book! I was thrilled to be offered access in exchange for an honest review.

This book was such an enjoyable read. I had a hard time putting it down. It is the sequel we have all been waiting for, and it was definitely worth the wait! It picks up pretty much where The Last Mrs. Parrish left off. I suggest reading that and the prequel, The First Shot, before reading this one - but it isn’t necessary. There is enough details about past events that you can read this as a standalone, but you’ll enjoy it so much that you’ll regret not reading the other two books first.

New characters are introduced and you never know who to trust or what their endgame really is. There are many twists and turns in this book, but everything flows well and everything pieces together. You won’t see the ending coming until you’re there.
