The sequel we have all been waiting for!! I know so many friends who have read and obsessed over Last Mrs Parrish, and it was the book that got me into reading more thrillers. So when the sequel was announced, I couldn’t have been more excited! The characters were just as conniving and deranged as I remembered! And with the addition of another main character and her POV, I felt like Daisy Ann fit into this book perfectly! If you haven’t read the novella prequel, The First Shot, I highly recommend before reading Next Mrs Parrish! I loved how this book picked up right where we left off and did little recaps for the reader when necessary! So even though I did a reread of Last Mrs Parrish, I wouldn’t say it’s needed! The authors did such an amazing job with this sequel! Getting back into these toxic relationships was such a delight! I loved how it wrapped up and feel like it felt more final. I was so happy with this book, the manipulation and twists these characters pulled off had my mind spinning! But I loved it all!

Oh I was absolutely elated when I received the advanced copy of this book! Before reading it I went back and re-read the first two books so I could give right into the story where it left off with The Last Mrs. Parrish and The First Shot. I strongly recommend doing that so you have a grasp of all of the characters in this book! I loved it!! The suspense and the ending, perfect!

This sequel to "The Last Mrs. Parrish" offers a twisty and entertaining narrative. It reintroduces conniving Amber - the current Mrs. Parrish, and explores Mr. Jackson Parrish's post-prison life, raising questions about his character. Can one as evil as Jackson really change? Daphne- the former Mrs. Parrish- has moved herself and her daughters to California as far away from her tormentor ex husband as possible. When her eldest Tallulah runs away on a mission to see her dad in prison, Daphne is faced with the realization that she may not actually be able to avoid him forever. In an effort to strengthen her relationship with her daughters, Daphne decides to head back to Bishops Harbor for the summer coinciding with Jackson’s release from prison.
Enter a new character- Daisy Ann, jewelry designer and Real Housewife of Texas with her own vendetta against Amber. Which in turn of course puts her at the top of Amber’s hit list. The addition of Daisy Ann, though initially uncertain, contributes well to the story. While I personally disliked Jackson and Amber's characters, the book's writing is intelligent, balancing mind games and plot twists effectively. It's a gripping domestic thriller with engaging characters, although not surpassing the first book. Still, it stands as a solid standalone read. I recommend it for fans of mysteries and thrillers.

As a lover of the first story, I was shocked that this sequel was announced and was so excited to read this book. That being said, overall the book was just okay to me. It's honestly crazy to me all that Jackson was getting away with right out of getting out of jail. The new plots didn't seem realistic. Daphne going back to Jackson!? Nope, no way. As a mother, I would have found another way out of that situation. Overall, just too many sociopaths in one book for me. The twists at the end were unpredictable and I can see other readers really loving this book, even if it wasn't my favorite.

This was not as compelling as the Last Mrs. Parrish. If felt a bit redundant and did not hold my attention.

I would like to Thank Net Galley and Random House Publishers for the opportunity to read "The Next Mrs. Parrish " by Liv Constantine.
I have read the book sent by Net Galley in exchange for an honest review. This book is to due to hit the market June 18, 2024 just in time to be a great summer read. Although I did not read the first book titled "The Last Mrs. Parrish" by Liv Constantine, I was able to start the book and connect the story line after the first chapter or so.
All the characters are present : The main ones being Daphne and Jackson Parrish with their two daughters. Amber , the 2nd Mrs. Parrish and their son Jax.
The story is pack full of intrigue, mind bending manipulation, greed, big money, scandal and murder.
There are many twists and turns where I thought I did not see this coming. New characters to the story all have their hand in the plot deceptions. It was an enjoyable read. I am one who loves book series where I read several books with the same people. Characters in these books become personal to me, I Love and Hate them and I want to know what happens next in their lives because I get to feel from a book like I know them. This is the Joy of reading and escaping to a destination of other's lives . I mostly always want to know what happens next to them.
I believe I will try to find the first book to connect the dots of the story. However it wasn't necessary if you haven't read the first one because you can quickly learn who the characters are.
I enjoyed this book and you will too for a great summer intrigue read.

A sequel to my favorite book?!?! I died!!!! In my opinion, Amber is more of a shit stirrer than ever. I enjoyed meeting Daisy, I felt like she fit in quite well to the story. I liked the overall narrative coming from the three different people, it helped put things into perspective as a reader.

A gripping follow-up to "The Last Mrs. Parrish", this story immediately pulls you in and keeps you guessing until the last page. I couldn't wait to see how the story unfolded and hoped for a fitting ending to this twisty story-and the author delivered. The story is told from multiple points of view-some characters readers will love, and others they will love to hate. I would recommend this book!

Liv Constantine brings you back into the world of Daphne, Amber, and Jackson with a new plot and plenty of twists and turns. After starting her new quite life in California, Daphne has to learn how to co-parent with her psychopathic ex. Amber is plotting her next steps now that her "perfect" life and marriage are not what they seemed. And Jackson is plotting, like always.
The addition of new characters and backstories help flesh out this new development.
I was impressed with how the authors were able to bring new life to the characters and the story after The Last Mrs. Parrish. The twists and turns were fun and unpredictable.
While I enjoyed The Last Mrs. Parrish more, this was a fun ride.

Thank you to Net Galley for the ARC.
I was excited for this sequel as I really enjoyed The Last Mrs. Parrish. I was curious how Amber and Daphne could ever be involved in each-other's lives again after the ending of the first book. The beginning of the book was a bit tough for me to get through, as other reviewers have mentioned - Who in their right mind would take their kids back into that circle/town/abuse?!?! It was a bit too far fetched for me as a mother, but I trudged on and eventually got curious enough to want to keep going. While it was an enjoyable enough read, it was not as good as the first (hard to recreate that twist and chemistry between Daphne and Amber as they interact virtually none in this book). The new characters (Daisy Ann) felt a bit forced as a connection between Amber/Jackson/Daphne and that ending was wrapped up a little too quickly in a bow. It was just a bit too unbelievable, chaotic, and disjointed for me to give 4 stars. If you absolutely loved the first book- I think it is still worth a read.

As much as I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish, I was a bit underwhelmed with the sequel. It's suspenseful but not necessarily thrilling.
While there are a few twists, the first 70% really dragged on for me. I do think if you read TLMP and want a glimpse into where Amber, Daphne and Jackson ended up, you'll want to read this.

Just as good as the first book. I don’t know how many times my jaw dropped. So many twists and turns and betrayals. I really enjoyed this book and sped through it so quickly. It picks up a bit after the first book with Daphne and the kids in California, Jackson and Amber still legally married with their son Jax, but then we get a new player named Daisy Ann. At first, I was wondering what she had to do with the story, but then we see her meet Amber and why she was introduced to us. I really enjoyed adding Daisy Ann to the mix. Her story helps bring justice. I really hated Jackson and Amber. I couldn’t believe that Tallulah sided with Jackson. I didnt want to put this book down. It was a really enjoyable read.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for letting me read this arc in exchange for an honest review.

Where to begin?! I absolutely LOVED The Next Mrs Parrish and always recommend it when someone needs a good book! However, this sequel had a very
slow build and was difficult to get into. I didn’t particularly enjoy Daisy Ann’s chapters, although she does play a crucial role to the story. Jackson, while still twisted as before, seemed far more tame.
Daphne has moved on with her live with the girls, and Amber is trying her best to move on with hers. Until Jackson resurfaces and goes back to his old ways. Unbeknownst to each person, they have all struck a deal with Daisy Ann so that they get what they deserve. The ending felt like a surprise and a cliffhanger that leaves me wanting to hear more— I still have questions!
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing for letting me read and review this book!

I could not get into this novel, despite loving the first Mrs. Parrish book. I strongly dislike novels where a character’s sole existence within a story is to torment another one, particularly if the agitator is male. Jackson is just abhorrent, and instead of being sort of entertaining this time, Amber is just as bad. I stopped reading at 62%. I’m sure I am the minority here and the book will sell well since the first one was so well loved.

I really enjoyed “The Last Mrs. Parrish” and was so excited to see that a new sequel was being published! I was very satisfied with the ending of the first book, but I’m always happy to revisit characters. I love the continuation and connection with characters you’ve enjoyed reading. I know there is a short novella that precedes this sequel, but I did not read it. I did not affect my ability to quickly get to know the new character. Daisy Ann is skillfully woven into this sequel and I enjoyed her story just as much as Daphne. The pacing in this book is quick and there is never a slow moment. The ending was perfection and if I thought I was satisfied with the first book’s ending, this one takes the award.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bantam for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Thank you for the early release! I was very excited to read this, especially coming off of the first book! I did however, feel as though this book did not live up the first book's hype. There was definitely a lot of twists, but overall I was a bit disappointed in this book. There were often times that I felt as though some of the things were a bit predictable. Overall, a nice compliment to the first book and will definitely keep you engaged, but I wouldn't expect it to be quite as good as the first.

Daphne and Amber are back and this book picks up right where the first book left off. We also meet Daisy Ann, who is my favorite character. The chapters alternate between each FMC and sometimes you’re left on a cliff hanger which made me want to speed read this book to figure out what would happen next. The beginning was a little slow for me but after about 15% I was hooked. Avoiding any spoilers, I think this was a great sequel! The drama 🤌🏼 The scheming 🤌🏼 The revenge 🤌🏼 All amazing! The drama is ridiculous and sometimes farfetched but that’s why I’ve loved this series. There’s always so many twists and turns! And the ending had me laughing an evil laugh, everyone got what they deserved.
Read if you like:
- Domestic thriller
- Rich husband/housewife drama
- Strong FMCs
- Cat & mouse game
- Revenge
Thank you Random House, Liv Constantine and NetGalley for the ARC!

Thank you to NetGalley for an e-ARC in exchange for a fair review. I was thrilled when I saw Liv Constantine was working on a sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish. That said, I had no idea where the story would go as I felt the first book had a pretty solid ending.
I loved The Next Mrs. Parrish just as much as the first book. Jackson and Amber are just as evil and manipulative as ever. I truthfully do not think I’ve ever read a book that featured a character I despised more. As the sequel begins, Jackson is released from prison and Amber fears their dwindling bank account will prevent her from living the life she deserves. After Amber finds diamonds on her husband’s boat, she cooks up a plan to make bank and leave Jackson for good. When Jackson catches her red handed, Amber is forced to help Jackson bring Daphne back into his life. Poor Daphne!
The reader is also introduced to a new character named Daisy Ann. Daisy Ann’s father is Amber’s former husband. Daisy Ann is convinced Amber killed her father, and why would anyone think otherwise? Daisy Ann is out for revenge, but I couldn’t tell if I liked her or not until the very end of the book.
If you love a story with lies, revenge, and deception, this book is for you. It was an easy four stars for me. I highly recommend it!

"You always remember your first......................................
...............thriller!"
I was so excited for this sequel since the moment I heard chatter about it as The Last Mrs. Parrish introduced me & hooked me to this genre. I remember being obsessed with the book when it came out and I recommended it to everyone. Unfortunately, that is not the case with the sequel which completely fell flat. Aside from Daphne and her friend Meredith, none of the characters seem real nor are any likeable...not even in a love to hate kinda way. If this was the first book. I would not be interested in a prequel or a sequel. In fact, I had to force myself to finish reading it for the purposes of
this review and because I owed it to the original book. But I was very tempted to give up. I didn't care how it ended.
Liv Constantine's books have been hit or miss since The Last Mrs. Parrish. I stopped reading The Senators Wife towards the end because it was ridiculous and again, I didn't care. Hopefully they'll find their groove again and deliver another masterpiece like The Last Mrs Parrish.

Having read the Last Mrs. Parrish several years ago, I found the Next Mrs.Parrish a delightful, seductive and complete stand alone novel from the first one written by the author. So embarking on this new story, Revenge was the leading chararacteristic of frankly all the characters as they sought to regain their proper positions and relationships with each other. The story is well told as you become reacquainted with Daphne, the former Mrs. Parrish and Amber the current Mrs. Parrish. Despite the affluence of all the characters, no one is content with what they have. Revenge is divine and none of the characters miss any tricks in this fast moving summer escape. Surprises along the way, but of course Sweet Revenge is the prize each protagonist hopes to win.
