This was a solid sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish. There were so many twists & turns but the one grapple I had was there were WAY too many new characters. After almost every chapter I found myself stopping & saying “wait..who is that person again?” I will say however, we do get the ending we want & revenge is oh so sweet.

Many thanks to NetGalley & the publisher for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. Hitting shelves in July!

This ARC was gifted to me by Bantam Publishers in exchange for a honest review. All opinions are my own and have not been swayed in anyway.

As a huge fan of "The Last Mrs. Parrish", when I found out a sequel was being written I could not wait to get my hands on a copy, and let me be clear this book did NOT disappoint.

I was not sure how the sequel would go, given that the ending of the last book was wrapped up nicely, but once again Liv Constantine did not let me down. I loved how all the characters stayed true to their original selves from book one, but still kept you entertained by their antics. Daisy Ann's character was a smooth addition to the mix and through the multiple twist she quickly became one of my favorites.

I do have one complaint, and it is no different in this book than any other book with the same plot but can we please stop writing southerners as these hilly billy like characters who talk in hyperbole and idioms all the time. It's honestly exhausting. I mean we live in a diverse country and it is so painfully obvious that these stereotypes are just that STEREOTYPES. Daisy Ann was a woman of old Texas money and wealth and at times I felt she was written like an uneducated woman who married into money. It just did not flow for me and I think it took away from the plot at times. This is just a personal pet peeve but I would be remiss if I did not mention it.

Overall, this book is a great sequel for those who loved the original, I love how everything from the first story was wrapped up and answers were given. Without spoiling too much I believe everyone got what they deserved in the end and the twist were not predictable. It was a great and easy read and the pacing was perfect. Sequels are not often done well, and most of the time seem pointless or almost ruin the first book entirely but I do not believe this is one of those.

Review: I couldn’t contain my excitement when I saw there was a sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish. I absolutely loved the first book but I didn’t really know how the authors were going to pull this off with such unlikable characters in the first book, but they did flawlessly.

The book starts off with Daphne returning to Bishops to have her girls see Jackson who is released from prison. Jackson swears he is a changed man and is spending the summer with Daphne and the girls. It also introduces a new character, Daisy Ann, a Texas woman out for revenge. Amber is at the center of both of these groups, causing more trouble than ever.

The book is so well written, balanced and has so many twists that you do not see coming. With the first book, the characters were so unlikable, we have another character to root for which was nice. Jackson and Amber are still deplorable and awful human beings, but k enjoyed seeing how far their would push it.

I loved the pacing of the book. The entire time you are at the edge of your seat waiting to see how this will all play out and if the antagonists will win or con their way again. What I absolutely loved was the ending. It was the perfect way to end the book, so fitting that I gasped.

I highly recommend this gripping, well-written domestic thriller with a such a satisfying ending. Put this on your list asap.

Liv Constantine does it again with her psychological page turning thriller. I could not get through the book fast enough. The way the characters intermingle and tie together was epic! Must read!!!

Part one of this book was recommended to me. I REALLY enjoyed it so I was so happy when I found out that there was a part 2. Is it just me or do you get excited when you find a book that you can’t put down until you finish it. This was one of those books for me. Highly recommended!!

I wasn’t sure where or how their stores would continue, but I was so pleasantly surprised! Amber schemes her way through life and the things she got away with, shocking! Jackson was your typical dirtbag, but the lengths he went through to get what he wants, just absolutely devious. And Daphne, continued to be so strong willed. The additional character lines tied beautifully with the story. I’m so happy their stories continued. It’s my next bookclub pick when it is released!

I’m always hesitant with sequels but this book was just as good as the first! I ate up every minute of it! Just when I thought I knew what was happening I was thrown for a curve ball! 5 stars!!

In this sequel, Daphne is thrust back into Amber and Jackson's lives at the behest of her daughter. Schemes abound and everyone has an end game of their own.

This follow-up to "The Last Mrs. Parrish" was a really fun read. It managed to keep the vibes of the first one without feeling too much like it was rehashing the events of the last book. Much like the first, the sheer audacity and downright villainy of some characters was infuriating - but in a good way.

If you enjoyed the first, I definitely recommend giving this one a read!

I liked this, I didn’t love it as much as the first but I kept my attention and was a quick read. I have loved everything Liv Constantine has written and this was on theme with that! I will continue to read anything they write!

If you enjoyed The Last Mrs Parrish, you won’t be disappointed with this sequel. (Highly recommend reading the first one before diving into this book!)

Yet again you will find yourself hating a character and being pissed off 😂. Each chapter leaves you hanging and wanting to keep going. I felt as if everything tied together really well and kept you guessing all the way up to the end.

Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you @randomhouse for the advanced copy! This one was amazing! I liked it more than “The Last Mrs. Parrish.” Plus, there’s nothing better than sweet sweet justice.

If you haven’t read “The Last Mrs. Parrish,” spoilers ahead. The Last Mrs. Parrish ends with Daphne leaving Jackson and moving away. Jackson is in prison for tax evasion and Amber has stolen him away from Daphne, and she’s pregnant.

“I see that for Jackson, cruelty and kindness grow in the same garden.”

Two + years later…. Daphne and her girls are doing great in California until Daphne’s older daughter runs away in an attempt to go back to Connecticut to see her father, who was just released from prison. Daphne reluctantly agrees to spend the summer in Connecticut, where she sees Jackson on the regular. Amber is still in the picture and engages in a bitter rivalry with someone from her past. This brings trouble to Amber and sheds light on her life prior to Connecticut.

I didn’t realize how much this story needed a sequel. It was so so good. I loved new empowered Daphne. I couldn’t put this one down. This is told in first person rotating between the three main female leads with one chapter from Jackson’s point of view.

✨ Genre: Thriller
🩷 Steamy rating: Mild
🤬 Profanity:

Triggers: Murder, drugging someone, domestic violence, emotional abuse, and gaslighting

After devouring The Last Mrs. Parrish and loving the twists and turns I was excited to read this sequel. While interesting enough for me to see it to the end I was disappointed. The choices Daphne made in the book infuriated me at times. While some missteps with her character were necessary to carry the story line, she deserved more. The addition of character Daisy Anne and her interwoven story line with Amber is the saving grace. I enjoyed the backstory that supported furthering Amber’s devious and deceptive character building. Worth a read if nothing else is in your TBR pile.

Thank you Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine |Bantam, NetGalley, and the author for the advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

This book will release on June 18th, 2024.

Corruption and deception catch up to Mr. Parrish and the Next Mrs. Parrish in the second installment of life in Bishops Harbor.
Daphne has moved on with life in California, happy with the girls and her mom. Tallulah's shenanigans cause her to get caught back up with Jackson and his plan to reunite them as a family. Amber wants out of Connecticut and out of hiding from her past. She develops a plan while double-crossing Jackson again to escape to Europe with millions. Meanwhile, Daisy Ann refuses to let her instinct go that Amber truly murdered her father. With Amber being the common tie, these lives all intertwine for a thrilling account of murder, lies, corruption, and connection.

4.5⭐️

First, thank you to NetGalley & Random House Publishing for this advance reader copy of The Next Mrs. Parrish!

I had somewhat high expectations for this second book and boy did it live up to it! Missed the 5⭐️ mark for me only because it took a good 100 pages or so to get really into it. Once the plot started thickening it was all twists and turns! It was a rush being back in the Bishops Harbor setting with Amber, Daphne and Jackson and I LOVED Daisy Ann’s entry and ties into the story, her character made everything happening all the more intriguing. The perfect follow up I’ll be recommending to everyone who loved The Last Mrs Parrish!

Make sure to pre-order or grab it on pub day June 18th!!!

Yay! I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish so I was beyond thrilled to receive an ARC, #netgalley, of The Next Mrs. Parrish! A propulsive, twisty wild ride; a bit far fetched but definitely satisfying! A great summer read!

WOW, this was a great thriller! I loved the first book so i was highly anticipating this release and it did not disappoint. Liv Constantine’s writing really shines through in this book. The twists and turns really got me and I’m someone who rarely gets shocked by twists in other books! Great installment for this series!! Pick this up on release day!!

I appreciate the opportunity to read this early copy - thank you!
I read “The Last Mrs. Parrish” a couple years ago, and appreciated the memory refresh that this book included. While I really enjoyed TLMP, this one unfortunately didn’t deliver.
The dialogue felt clunky and awkward at times, with long repetitive internal monologues. Daisy Ann’s frequent use of cheesy stereotypical southern sayings (“this ain’t my first rodeo,” “now hold your horses,” etc.) was cringey and forced.
I’m able to overlook some plot holes or character inconsistencies for the sake of the thrill or pacing, but there were just far too many in this one.

WOW…Holy Shit…
I’m steel reeling from this book!
I was beyond excited to get to read this book thru NetGalley. The last Mrs Parrish is one of my top 3 my favorite books, and this one is just as good!
I hate that most of the time in books I can see things coming.. I promise you, you won’t see these things coming! I spent a good amount of time picking my jaw up off of the floor while reading this book. So many twists and turns! I enjoyed getting to know new characters as well. I’m scared to say too much in fear of spoiling anything for future reader’s BUT I will say you HAVE to read this book!!!
