Who is playing who? This cat and mouse revenge thriller is a sequel to the wildly popular The Last Mrs. Parrish from a few years ago. It did not disappoint, and I was still eager to find out how the game was going to end for all of the characters. Just when I thought I had the twist figured out, I was surprised. Great follow up. Highly recommend when this is published in June 2024.
Thank you to #netgalley and @randomhousepublishinggroup for an advanced reading copy.

The Next Mrs. Parrish by Liz Constantine does not disappoint. After reading The First Mrs. Parrish and
enjoying it I knew I had to get my hands on this book. The Next Mrs. Parrish picks up where the first book leaves off. Although this is the case I do not believe that one has to have read the first book to enjoy this read. For me I truly enjoyed the way in which each chapter focused on a specific character. I also enjoyed the plot twists that were uncovered throughout the story. I find this better than reads with a twist at the end. I found myself eager to return to this story each evening. I loved the balance of characters, You had those that you hated but those that you loved and those that were more so “complicated” so you really did not know how to feel about them. This was super enjoyable. A 10 out of 10 and I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading like I do:)

I thought this book was a good follow up to The Last Mrs. Parrish - it was a slow read for me and did not keep me on the edge of my seat. I liked how they added in a new perspective making it Daphne, Amber & Daisy and how they all intertwined at the end of the story to make it feel complete. A good read overall :)

Although I constantly kept calling this book by the wrong name, I loved it and think it outshines book #1 in the series. This book was such a page turner and was full of twist after twist. I honestly gave up trying to predict and just started hoping all the bad people got what was coming to them. There were moments that as a mom were terrifying and some that were upsetting thinking how someone could be so awful! A book that has you turning pages and feeling upset for the characters will definitely be a hit this summer. Bravo, Constantine sisters!

More like a 4.5. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of the second book in the Mrs Parrish series in exchange for an honest review. I really liked this one even a little more than the first one. Though I really enjoyed the first one in the series a lot of the twists I could see coming however this one was insanely twisted for sure. I don't want to say too much due to spoilers but definitely loved the path this book took and couldn't put it down. Definitely am anxiously awaiting the sequel! Thanks cliffhangers!

This is the 3rd book in this series, The First Shot, The Last Mrs. Parrish & this latest book in the series is The Next Mrs. Parrish. Of the three books this was my favorite book, it was very well written just like all of Liv Constantine’s other books. Daphne Parrish one of the main characters of the book takes us on a very long wild ride in this book. Her ex-husband and father of her two daughters tries to take control of their lives again with the help of his current wife Amber who is nothing but trouble. This book is classified as a thriller type novel and it does have some very thrilling parts and it keeps your adrenaline pumping because you just cant wait to see what happens next. This book also does a good job of tying in all the other parts of the other two previous books, so it’s helpful if you have read both of those before you read this book. It’s hard to give to much information about the book because so much happens and it would spoil the book for readers.

This was just what I was expected from the next book in the series - Packed full of action and suspense. Amber and Jackson are just downright despicable people but I loved how their villainous characters played into the novel. I enjoyed the added storyline of Daisy Ann to the plot as well. While it wasn’t the full of twists, it was intense and delivered everything I wanted at the end! I feel like that ending leads me to suspect there might be a third book, which I would definitely read! I enjoyed this immensely!
Thank you to Net Galley and Random House for this digital copy in exchange for my honest review.

This is a fast paced popcorn thriller. I finished it in less than 24 hours, and I’d probably recommend it to a friend. I don’t think it’ll be a re-read, though. Daphne’s story infuriated me because I can’t believe someone can be that stupid after the first book.

Fans of the first will love this. It's soapy, telenovela, twisty and everything a quick summer beach read should be. But man some of the characters are so unlikeable (the point I know) but that doesn't make the book any less enjoyable..

The follow up to one of my favorites!! This was equally as fun and a page turning read! Our characters are back and they have many more surprises in store in this novel! Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the chance to dive in this twisted story!

I want to thank Netgalley and Random House publishing for an Arc book. It was a slow start but it picked up mighty quickly. Daphne and Amber are back in action. Lots of twists and turns. It will keep you very interested. They try to outsmart the others but see what happens at the end. My daughter recommended this book to me because we read the first one and loved it. Enjoy reading!

OMG!!! This was so good!!! I loved all the twists and turns in it. A total must read! Liv Constantine definitely has done it again!

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I was very excited to pick this up, because I remembered loving the first book. However, I just couldn't get into this one. I think that there were too many plot points that didn't play nice together. It does wrap the narrative up pretty well, so I'm not expecting another one in the series.

4.75 stars for The Next Mrs. Parrish!
Holy. Cow. Let me preface by saying the only reason this isn’t a 5-star read for me is that throwing in a new character, Daisy Ann, threw me for a loop at first. I now realize I should’ve read The First Shot before reading this one. Nevertheless, this book was outstanding!
The Last Mrs. Parrish leaves us with Daphne taking the girls to California, Jackson waiving his parental rights, and Amber living in the Bishops Harbor house with him and their son, Jax. The Next Mrs. Parrish picks right back up in California, but things aren’t all sunshine and rainbows like we wanted for Daphne. Daphne is struggling with her girls missing their father, thus the story of Daphne traveling back to Bishops Harbor. What unfolds next is truly baffling. I was audibly gasping, saying “Oh no, no no” and “DON’T BELIEVE HIM”, from the moment Daphne arrived back to that awful house she shared with him. From there, things were twisty and so shocking, I couldn't guess a single turn (there are multiple)!
Bringing in Daisy Ann was BRILLIANT, and I loved getting another piece of this world and getting to know more about Amber, as much as I loathe her.
I will add that there are tough themes throughout this book. Parental separation, abuse, manipulation, etc. I appreciate the way that Liv Constantine approaches these conversations, through Daphne; the conversations and the way she navigates them with her children are to be admired.
Overall, this was the PERFECT wrap-up to this story. Jackson’s ending is pure perfection – IYKYK!
Thank you so so much to NetGalley, Random House Publishing Group/Ballantine/Bantam, and the authors, for this eARC! Publication date: June 18, 2024

Dear goodness! What a rollercoaster of emotions! I absolutely loved the 3 (and then 4) POV’s in this story and how it all comes together. There were so many WTF moments that I absolutely loved!
These ladies definitely know how to make me despise characters and root for the underdog. I am so glad that this sequel turned out so well! Thank you NetGallery for this amazing ARC.

Lynne and Valerie Constantine have done it again! I was thrilled to hear a sequel to The Last Mrs Parrish. Being able to learn more about Amber's past was a perfect addition to this sequel. Daphne is the perfect example of a strong woman who will go to any length for their children. The ending kept me guessing the whole time and was an incredible poetic justice.
Thanks #netgalley and #randomhouse for this ARC. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I am a big fan of the sister duo who write under the pen name Liv Constantine. I have to admit, though, The Next Mrs. Parrish was a bit hard to get through because two of the characters are Such Terrible People. I read The Last Mrs. Parrish and The Next Mrs. Parrish back-to-back; because of this, I really understood and remembered the characters, which was helpful because there are plenty of new characters introduced in The Next Mrs. Parrish, and this story builds off of the previous book.
I love the strong female protagonists in The Next Mrs. Parrish, and there is a certain appeal to the cunning and clever nature of the plot. However, the "cat and mouse" game, as the book jacket describes it, is filled with so much hate and mental/emotional abuse, it was almost too much for this reader. As with the previous book, the ending is satisfying, and loose ends are tied up. The lies, gaslighting, and general awfulness of the characters that we are, of course, meant to hate, is a lot to take in. That said, it is the great writing of Liv Constantine that brings these terrible characters to life at a level that made me feel so unsettled by them and their actions. I will say, comparing the two Mrs. Parrish books, Next (book #2) was less upsetting in this regard than Last (book #1).
I will continue to follow Liv Constantine and pick up any book with that author name on the cover. Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I read The Last Mrs. Parrish back in January 2021 and was so excited to see that there would be a sequel (and even more excited to be approved for the ARC!) 🤩 For those of you who read and obsessed over The Last Mrs. Parrish, this is a MUST READ sequel that kicks all the drama, manipulation and twisted escapades up 10 notches and I loved every depraved part of it ❤️🔥🤌🏼 The story is told in 3 POV’s: Daphne, Amber and the newest woman, Daisy Ann, you get a great mix of good versus evil as they fight over children, money, husbands, and whatever they want that someone else has 😝 This is such a page-turning thriller that brings back some truly awful characters and somehow they manage to be even more trouble than in the prequel. Amber is back and more devious than ever, although this time the stakes are raised even higher and with that, so are her lies and deceits. As for Jackson, he is just a pure evil sociopath period.
This is a full fledge book of cat and mouse with mind games, gas lighting and vengeance written all over it. Liv Constantine did such an amazing job crafting the perfect villains in my eyes and I was completely invested and anticipating how the events would play out.

I was super excited to get an ARC for this book and jump back into the Parrish Drama.
Having read the Last Mrs. Parrish 5 years ago, I was afraid I wouldn't remember everything and be a little lost because of that. However, that wasn't the case. While having the back story helps quite a bit, I do find you can read this book without it and be ok.
This book is a multi POV bringing back Amber and Daphne, but we also get Jackson as well as newcomer Daisy Anns POV.
It takes a hot minute to find out where Daisy fits in, but she is definitely a welcomed addition and the hero we all root for in a story filled with irredeemable characters.
The book picks up where we left off with Daphne in California, Amber up to her same old tricks, and Jackson about to get out of jail.
While it might be an unpopular opinion, I found Daphne to be just as irredeemable of a character as Amber and Jackson. The choices she makes, because she refuses to be transparent with her children, and her falling right back into Jackson web all while saying I'm smarter and stronger now was frustrating to read. This book has its fair share of twists and turns but feels more drama the suspense this time around.
As this book wraps up, the authors leave it open-ended. I can't help but wonder, do they intend to leave it thay way, or are we all in for another trip back to the Parrish drama?
Thank you to the publishers and Netgally for the ARC copy of this book.

First off, I was obsessed with the first book when it came out! I was so excited to see a second one came out. The character development really sucks you in, especially knowing their history. I loved these twists and turns - which kept me on the edge of my seat. This was one I could not put down and was sad to see end.
