Returning character Daphne the GOAT 🐐, aka the lady who made you stand from your seat and yell HELL YES in the prequel to this book.
If you’ve been under a rock and haven’t read The Last Mrs Parrish, then do so and enjoy this killer sequel !!
I digress.
Amber Parrish returns along with her husband, Jackson “pond scum” Parrish, and they’re both picking up where they left off. Greedy, narcissistic tendencies rule their existence.
And enter our new character, Daisy Ann Briscoe, an enigma of a woman. You don’t quite get how she fits in, but when she does. 💥💥💣💣🌋🌋🧨🧨

If you read The Last Mrs. Parrish, then The Next Mrs. Parrish will capture you from the beginning! If you haven't you NEED to read that first. The lives of Jackson, Amber, Daphne, and Daisy Ann are all tangled up in a web of lies as their stories continue. They are all trying to get revenge or escape from something or someone. Jackson and Amber are as detestable as ever, and their deceit and lack of morals is utterly off-putting. The plot is intricately woven with twist after twist and I couldn't put this down. I honestly think this one was even better than the first book! The jaw dropping ending made me smile and feel like everything that had just happened was wrapped up nicely. Thanks NetGalley & Bantam Publishing for the ARC of this book, I will be recommending it for sure!

Addicting, fast paced, wild, shocking, and absolutely unhinged is how I would describe this book! I didn’t think I could hate Amber and Jackson more, but here we are.
I was so excited when I heard that Liv Constantine was writing this book, because I absolutely l loved The Last Mrs. Parrish. I was nervous that it wouldn’t live up to the absolute page turner that is the first book but wow! Once I started this book I could not put it down, it was such a wild ride full of some of the most infuriating characters, in the absolute best way. There’s so many twists and connections in this book that just kept you guessing until the end. I think I enjoyed the first book a little more because it was more shocking learning about how insane the characters were the first time around, but this was so satisfying and fun to read! Thank you Netgalley and Random House Publishing for the ARC!

Thank you to @netgalley and @randomhousepublishinggroup for this ARC. This book will be released on June 18, 2024.
I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish and was curious to see what direction this story would take. Daphne’s beginning arc gave me hope, but I just couldn’t get past how unrealistic her actions were in the majority of the book. The pace also felt slow in comparison to the first book. There is only so much I can take of Jackson catching Daphne in her plans over and over. The introduction of the character of Daisy Ann was interesting, but I felt it took entirely too long for her story to become connected to Amber, Jackson, and Daphne.
Overall the book was fine, but I’m not sure a sequel was necessary.

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the ARC of this novel in exchange for my honest opinion.
Daphne and Amber Parrish are thrust back into each other’s lives upon the resurgence of a long-forgotten threat, forcing a vicious game of cat and mouse where everything is on the line, in this thrilling sequel to the million-copy-bestselling Reese’s Book Club pick The Last Mrs. Parrish.
Imagine my surprise when I saw there was a sequel to one of my favorite books ever!! Picture me jumping for joy when I was approved for an ARC of The Next Mrs. Parrish!! Once again, my favorite writing duo did not disappoint with this follow up to The Last Mrs. Parrish. Was this book really necessary? Probably not. But was it twisty and entertaining? Most definitely!
This book can also be read as a standalone, which is a great bonus for those who haven’t read the first book. This book is filled with characters that you will love to hate, twists and turns, and lots of entertainment. I highly recommend!

Wow great revenge and deception novel!!
First book was ok for me however I enjoyed the second more.
I’d you like twisty domestic thrillers this one is for you.

I did not love this one as much as the first one. I was honestly shocked that the series continued after so long, but it was a good addition.

The Next Mrs. Parrish is a worthy successor to “The Last Mrs. Parrish”, which I read and enjoyed when it came out in 2017. While I didn’t necessarily see a sequel coming, I’m glad it did. While some of the plot required suspension of disbelief (why oh why would Daphne ever voluntarily allow her abusive ex-husband Jackson back into the lives of her and their young daughters??) for the most part the storyline moved along at a brisk clip and was loaded with twists and turns (some expected and some not) that kept me engaged until the very end. I do firmly believe in the value of lighter reading, sometimes we all just need a little escapism, and this book fit that bill like a glove. Would definitely recommend.

Liv Constantine knows how to deliver a thriller, and in her surprise sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish, Constantine does not disappoint. Picking up after the events of the first book, Daphne, Amber, Jackson, and the kids all return, along with a few surprise returning characters. Daphne is free from her conniving, abusive husband, but is one ever really free, especially if children are involved? Her daughters miss their dad, unaware of the truth about him, and Daphne decides to return home so that the girls can get closure on that relationship. Meanwhile, Amber runs into a familiar face and becomes determined to bring about ruin. Jackson claims that prison has changed him and that he is a better man, but is he to be trusted? There is no knowing who to trust in this twisty thriller.
The Last Mrs. Parrish is one of my all time favorite books, and I was shocked and thrilled that there was to be a sequel. However, I loved the original ending to the story and did not believe a follow up was needed. Having read the book I can say that it was very well done and enjoyable but maybe not necessary. The book starts off slow, and it takes a while to get to the good stuff. But once it gets to the good stuff, it is almost impossible to put the book down. Daphne is one of my favorite heroines, and this book reinforces this for me. Even when she makes questionable decisions you can't help but root for her!
It is necessary to read the short novella The First Shot to really understand what is happening. If you haven't read it, this novella provides more backstory on Amber, before she meets Jackson. Her arc in The Next Mrs. Parrish revolves strongly around the main storyline from The First Shot. I was disappointed with Amber's story here as I felt like she was relegated to a less interesting side plot that was unnecessary to the central storyline. But I loved how it brought a conclusion to The First Shot and how it ended.
The Next Mrs. Parrish is a satisfactory conclusion to the series, bringing back old characters and tying everything up beautifully. I couldn't put this book down and had moments of complete and utter shock that will make this one of the most memorable books of the year!
4.5 stars out of 5 stars

When I saw that Liv Constantine had a sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish I knew I had to get approved to read The Next Mrs. Parrish. A continuation of the first book with Daphne being forced to come back from her new life away being free from Jackson, Jackson being released from prison with aspirations of getting Daphne back and Amber’s new plan to become rich and leave everything behind. I really enjoyed the 3 main characters storylines and how vindictive both Amber and Jackson are. Really good twists and I loved the ending with everyone getting the ending they deserved. I’m so glad Liv Constantine gave us a sequel! I read the entire book in a day so it would be a great vacation read!

Thank you for the ARC! I want to re-read the first book before giving my honest review. After I do that, I will return to edit.

First off thank you so much NetGalley for approving me to read this. I absolutely loved this book. So many twists and turns I couldn’t put it down!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I read The Last Mrs. Parrish several years ago, and while I remember the storyline being full of twists and turns and juicy drama, I also recall that I wasn't blown away by the writing or dialogue. Unfortunately, the same could be said about this book as well.
I think my biggest issue with The Next Mrs. Parrish (and other books I've read by the author) is the dialogue. It is so unrealistic and forced and unnatural that it really takes me out of the story. It makes me cringe reading it sometimes and felt unpolished (I know this is an ARC, but my opinion is that this feedback also applies to other books by this author). The book really leaned HEAVILY on the drama aspect of the story, and for that reason, I think it will be popular when it is published. But it leaves much to be desired in it's writing style and dialogue.
I also felt as though the characters' stories wrapped up pretty nicely in the previous book, and so I was surprised to see a sequel was coming out this year. And after reading this, I'm still not sure it was necessary. Unless a TV show is in the works?! THAT I would watch!
Overall, though, I just didn't love it.
Thank you to Net Galley, Liv Constantine and Random House Publishing Group Ballantine Bantam for providing me with an eARC in exchange for this feedback.

One liner : Page turner but way OTT
This is a sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish. This book follows the lives of Daphne, Jackson and Amber from where it ended. I cannot say much about the story or provide a synopsis since it sure is going to be a spoiler for anybody who haven't read the first book. A new character has been added to the book, Daisy Ann and it went well with the flow of the story. I was confused as to what a new character was doing in the book but the authors have done a good job of tying her character into the story. The story comes to us in 3rd person POV of Amber and Daisy Ann and first person POV of Daphne. It took sometime to adjust to the change in voice in the book.
The authors have done a good job of maintaining the suspense in the book and it sure is a page turner. But, the downside is that it is way OTT in many places. Too many designer names, way too rich people and hardly any normal regular human beings made it too fluffy. It almost felt like this was set in a different universe altogether.
There is not much to talk about the characters in the book. Amber and Jackson are pictured the same as the first book. Daphne who seemed so intelligent and was able to gain the sympathy from readers in the first book seems little bleak here. Her decisions and choices did not seem authentic or intelligent. The use of southern slang for Daisy Ann's character was too much. It almost felt like she and the people in South were living in 70s or 80s just because of the language. I loved the first one way better than the sequel.
Many thanks to NetGalley, Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine Bantam for providing me this eARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.
My rating 3*

I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish and found me struggling to remember the story as The Next Mrs. Parrish began. Sadly, I am not a re-reader and eventually I got my footing and was able to get into the new story. Eventually the betrayal come back to surface and new story begins that is more satisfying than any thriller I have read as of recently. Only wish this book would have come out closer to the last book.

What a brilliant sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish! Cleverly written with many unseen twists. Amber and Jackson are the worst characters but I couldn't wait to see what happened to them. I was so excited to receive this as an ARC! Thank you so much NetGalley and Random House Publishing!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

DNF. Was so let down by this book. Loved the last mrs parrish and was so excited for a sequel. This book follows a group of people doing terrible things for no reason, behaving dumb, and the overall premise is just completely unbelievable. I would recommend people stay far far away from this book as it will just tarnish your view of the first book.

This book was very well written. I could not put it down because at the end of every chapter I was ready to read the next! I finished this book in less than 3 days! It is a sequel to The Last Mrs Parrish, which made me nervous going in because that was one of my favorite books. But I was not disappointed!

When I saw that this book was coming out, I was super intrigued, because the first book was awesome. It was one of the first domestic/relationship thriller books I had ever read and I loved it. I felt like the first book ended well and wrapped up nicely, so I was curious to see what/who would be in the sequel. When I got selected for an ARC of this sequel, I was SO excited and dove right in!
First and foremost, I appreciated that the beginning of the book gave us some refreshers as to who the characters are and what had happened in the first book. I have to admit, though, I was kind of surprised that Daphne was in this book, considering that her storyline had wrapped up nicely at the end of the last book! I guess the title had led me to assume that the “Next” would mean someone else was swooping in and trying to take Jackson from Amber, not that they were looping Daphne back into the storyline.
I honestly felt like the addition of the new character, Daisy Ann, threw me for a tizzy, especially since I was kind of waiting for some reveal that she was going to try to get with Jackson (again, because of the “next” in the title). I typically love dual POV books but having 3 different POVs was a lot for me personally.
I loved that, in usual fashion, Liv Constantine’s writing was full of twists, turns, and jaw drop moments - not to spoil any, but there were some full on gasp events! I literally dropped my kindle and yelled “UGH!!!!” on a few occasions.
The storyline definitely picked up in the second half of the book, and I found the ending satisfying!
Thank you to NetGalley & Random House Publishing for allowing me the opportunity to read an electronic advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest thoughts!

As a devoted reader of Mrs. Parrish's enthralling tales, I eagerly delved into this continuation, hoping for a satisfying conclusion to the first book. Indeed, "The Next Mrs. Parrish" delivers precisely that—an opportunity to reunite with familiar faces, particularly Daphne, in a nostalgic journey through the narrative. Despite the comforting familiarity, I couldn't help but notice a lack of significant character development since the first installment. While Amber's backstory is eloquently unveiled, adding depth to her character, the remainder of the cast remains largely stagnant. I yearned for more substantial growth and evolution, yet found myself traversing familiar territory without any noteworthy progression. Regrettably, it fails to introduce any compelling new elements that would elevate it above its predecessor, leaving me with a lingering sense of unfulfilled anticipation. However, I would still recommend reading this second book to have closure on all the characters.
I would like to express my gratitude to Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine | Bantam and NetGalley for allowing me to read this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
