I loved being able to get the ARC for this book! And the ending was definitely all that I was hoping for!

The book started off a little slower for my taste, I found myself looking what would be the new hook of the Mrs. Parrish saga. But, what helped balance the pace was the introduction of a new character, Daisy Ann. Her background story was so engaging and I kept wanting to find the ways it tied to Amber and Daphne. As for those two, it was fun being back with them again! Amber is so unlovable but so interesting. I hate her but it love her chapters!

The multiple POV was really engaging the twists after about 50% were shocking and the pace picked up majorly. It started to feel like every chapter had a bombshell moment! If you want something mysterious, if you like thrillers, if true crime is something you enjoy, you’ll love this one! Once you get into it, you won’t be able to put it down- I stayed up late to finish… I had to know how it ended!

When I heard there was a sequel to “The Last Mrs. Parrish,” I can’t express how fast I jumped on Net Galley to apply. I read the first installment in just a few days and loved the ride. “The Next Mrs. Parrish” was still enjoyable but didn’t quite live up to the original.

We returned to the characters that we know and love (to hate mostly). It felt natural to jump back in so quickly. I loved adding the perspective of Daisy Anne and her narrative. I wasn’t quite sure if she was going to be someone the audience could root for or despise. One element I loved in the first book was the distinct switch in perspective halfway through, which was not part of the equation this time.

Overall enjoyed the ride, though the end was a little too much for me. I definitely had to suspend belief on a few plot lines. While I loved seeing the good guys (gals) prevail, it felt as if there were just too many tidy endings. Just when I thought something was resolved, there was one more twist of the knife that got addressed shortly after. Didn’t feel entirely satisfying for my taste.

Many thanks to Net Galley, Bantam Books, and Liv Constantine for the ARC! Always a pleasure.

The Next Mrs. Parrish

Amber, Daphne, Daisy Ann and Jackson are back in another nerve shattering installment in The Next Mrs. Parrish. Worlds collide when Daphne, who's finally escaped Bishop Harbour, is forced back when her teen daughter starts asking questions and missing her father. Jackson seems patient, kind, and changed but Daphne knows better and she's determined not to let Jackson trap her anymore.

The Next Mrs. Parrish is as equally as exciting as the first book and having read the prequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish I found Daisy Ann to be the perfect addition to the cutthroat world of the Parrish. My nerves were on edge the entire time, the situations are gut wrenching, I found myself having to keep reading to see what that insane Amber or narcissistic Jackson would scheme. I've honestly never have read two characters I wanted so bad to see crash and burn.

The novel reads from the point of view of Daphney, Amber, and Daisy Ann as all of them walk a tight rope around each other, every chapter masterfully spinning them closer and closer until the anxiety inducing end.

My only complaint would be that the ending, and I mean the last very few pages felt rushed, I would have liked to really seen what happened to Amber in more detail after dealing with her insufferable personality for three books.

Liv Constatine knocks it out of the park with a follow up to The Last Mrs. Parrish with The Next Mrs. Parrish. In this book, Amber is now the wife while his ex is in California with her mom and their 2 girls. While on a school field trip, their oldest daughter sneaks away to meet up with her dad. Due to this, the girls and their mom go back to the east coast. If you want more details, please pick up a copy of this book for the intense thriller it is.

I read the first book in one day! This one, not so much, I don’t know if it’s because I was infuriated. Maybe because so much was a little too far fetched, but it did finally pick up for me about 75% through and I felt better about the ending!

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC!
I was so excited to be able to read this because The Last Mrs. Parrish is one of my favorite twisty thrillers. I was so excited to dive back into the lives of Daphne, Jackson, and Amber. While I enjoyed getting to revisit some characters I really liked, this sequel fell flat. I found it very hard to get into, frequently unbelievable, and there were so many twists that it just became too much. I would like read it again, but it definitely did not live up to the original.

Holy moly, what a whirl wind of events.

At first I was a bit thrown off with a new character (Daisy Ann) just because it took a little to get to know what was happening and why they were intertwined.

Then holy crap it just starting to go crazy and...well... I was sucked in. Incredibly entertaining, perfect novel of revenge and deception.

The ending, chef kiss.

Huge Liv Constantine fan, and this was yet another incredible novel.

If there becomes a third book, I would love to read a "Jackson" story, or more with his perspective.

Thank you NetGalley and Random House Publishing for my E-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I did not think this book could beat Constantine's previous book, The Last Mrs. Parrish. It was amazing and surpassed my expectations. I could not put it down!

I was so thrilled to be lucky enough to receive this as an eARC. Admittedly, I hadn't read The Last Mrs. Parrish prior to receiving this eARC but it had been on my TBR for well over a year. Thankfully, receiving this book gave me the push I needed to bump it up to the tippity top of my TBR and I was not disappointed. I have to admit, that I'm a sucker for these types of dramatic books and Liv Constatine did not disappoint.

Edge of my seat read. Truly had me holding my breath as I read each chapter. “The Next Mrs. Parrish” is a must read. The story picks up as Jackson is close to finishing his prison sentence and Amber is positioning her next move. Daphne Parrish and the girls are trying to move forward. Of course, master manipulators Jackson & Amber have other things in mind. You will get to read about Daisy Ann and her father’s marriage to Amber in this book, as well as the damage done. Well written book with interesting, intense characters. Pre-order for the June 18th publication date. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you to Net Galley and Bantam Books for this early read!

The Next Mrs. Parrish surprised me as a sequel to one of my favorite books. Once again, Liv didn't disappoint. Amber returns, even more conniving, while Daphne grapples with her past - exactly what we needed in a sequel. New character Daisy Ann adds some serious depth, though her role initially seemed uncertain which kept things interesting. While not quite surpassing the original, the book stands alone as a compelling read. Filled with twists and turns, I highly recommend if you enjoyed the first one. Thanks to NetGalley and the author for the ARC.

Back to dealing with the horrible Amber and Jackson! This was a quick read that could not be put down: fast-paced, good flow, and it grabbed your attention from page one. A great domestic suspense worthy of your time.

Its the return of the epic writing duo. I was so excited for this sequel to come out and I know a lot of folks have been on the fence but I loved the first books and I'm all in for the second book. Amber is back yall and so is her idiot husband. Well he's in jail but you know what I mean. I loved this book and I can say the sequel was an improvement on the first book. Also I loved the new characters and how the scheming continued. It reminded me of an episode of revenge lol how everyone has a plan and will seek their revenge.

What a great book!

Daphne has been through hell and back thanks to her ex , Jackson Parrish. Straight out of prison he is back to his old tricks. He lies, cheats and steals to get what he wants. The new Mrs. Parrish is just as deceitful

This book was full of characters that I absolutely hated! And to be honest I didn't like Daphne Parrish at times either. There are a lot of characters to keep up with but the author does a great job of keeping the storylines together until all of a sudden, everything comes full circle. It is told by 3 characters that help with the transition (Daisy Ann, Daphne, and Amber).

If you like stories that give you a rollercoaster of emotions, please add this to your list. It does not disappoint!

I love every minute of this storyline. I can not wait to read another novel by this author.

The Last Mrs. Parrish is my favorite thriller of all time, and one that I widely recommend. I was quite nervous for the Next Mrs. Parrish - how could it possibly live up? But it does! In every way. Daphne and Amber are back and they are together and I could not look away. I don't want to say anything about the plot, but this is sure to be THE book of the summer.

What a great sequel to the first book ! I really enjoyed this one. It was fast paced and kept me on my toes the entire time. Love to hate some of the characters in the book. The ending was brilliant and well deserved. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good quick thriller and has read the first book.

Thank you Netgalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine for the digital arc in exchange for my honest review.

The Next Mrs. Parrish is a good enough story and will likely be enjoyed by those who like domestic suspense. All strings are tied up at the novel's end, so that will be satisfying for readers who don't care for open endings. I will recommend the book to several readers whose preferences match these features.

Unfortunately, from a personal perspective, I am not able to give the novel high praise. The wording often felt trite. The word "signature" is used repeatedly as a description of something related to a character. "Get! Get out of here," spoken by an adult in the 21st century to another adult doesn't sound real and is annoyingly stereotyped language for a character in Texas. It just sounds like something Granny Clampett would say to a raccoon. The characters themselves are flat. Amber could have been a much more interesting character if she had been something more than just an evil woman. The same is true of Jackson who ends up being something tantamount to a mustache-twirling villain tying a woman to train tracks.

The writing relies on too many "gotcha" moments. Relationships between characters that are suddenly revealed with no scaffolding in the story are a little too easy and this tactic asks very little of the reader. I love domestic suspense and have enjoyed novels by this writing team in the past, but this one missed several opportunities to be much better than it was.

I appreciate the publisher and NetGalley providing me with the ARC in exchange for an honest treview.

When I finished the first book, I was hesitant but also excited for the sequel. I had listened to the short prequel right before this, and knew I wanted to request this just to see where it all ends up.

We're back with Daphne, Amber, Jackson, and now Daisy-Ann.

4 stars and hesitant at first because in the blurb I read, Daphne had to go back to be around her Ex-Husband Jackson and I honestly could barely stomach the abuse he put her through in the first book. He's back at it again and even more delusional and villainous in this one.

Amber...is an unhinged chaotic mess as always and still scheming. Amber and Jackson decide to *team up* to get Daphne back and take on Daisy-Ann aka Ambers first (deceased) husbands daughter. Daisy-Ann's whole attitude is my favorite tbh.

A lot of rich domestic drama starts right from the start.

I did love this, and I love how it ended. I'll be honest though, idk if I'd read a third IF there is one. I don't think I can read or listen to Daphne going through more than she already has with Jackson. I have a feeling it won't be the last of Amber, though..lol. Meredith also came in for her girl Daphne finally.

Definitely fast paced and a quick read. Trying to not post spoilers but I loved it!

Thank you to Netgalley, Liv Constantine, and publisher for the ARC of this!

The Last Mrs. Parrish is one of my all time favorite books, and it is one of only two books since Gone Girl to give me that true shock moment at the big twist. I was very excited to learn about the sequel.

This is the order I read the series in, and this is the order I recommend:

1. The Last Mrs. Parrish
2. The First Shot (this is a novella, and while it is a prequel to the first book trust me that this is the order to read them)
3. The Next Mrs. Parrish

The Next Mrs. Parrish is a fast, easy read that is full of fun twists. There are three narrators in this one: Daphne, Amber, and Daisy Ann (who you will know if you read The First Shot). The Amber and Daisy Ann chapters were the most fun, and I got a kick out of their cleverness. And the ending was perfect. I love the way the story unfolded.

As much of a fun ride as most of this book was, I had a hard time connecting with the Daphne sections and found myself dreading them. Without spoilers, I will say that her decisions made absolutely no sense to me. It just didn't ring true that she would make the choices she made after all the hard work she did in the last book. Every time I had to read about all the same stuff happening again it just annoyed me. I also had a hard time believing Tallulah didn't remember what things used to be like. I get why it had to happen though, and the ending was satisfying, but that was really the one negative in an otherwise awesome book.

That is minor though, and the book is fun and I loved it. I highly recommend this to everyone who loved The Last Mrs. Parrish!
