I love a good sequel and a story of revenge. The Next Mrs. Parrish gave me all of that and more! (I still think Jackson and Amber are horrible). Liv Constantine kept me guessing until the end.

A very satisfying and long awaited sequel . The story picks up 7months after the events of the first and ties in the events of the prequel . Daphne is enjoying her life in California but her girls start missing their dad and asking questions while Amber is living the cushy life in Bishops Harbor planning for exit before her husbands release from jail but a chance encounter with someone from her past changes her plans. This was fast paced thriller that left me screaming at my kindle on multiple occasions . The only bit that threw me off is that while only 7 months were to of passed the second. book takes place the current time with references to the pandemic and movies that came out this year. Other than that fans of the first book will want to jump on this one!

Thank you to NetGalley and Bantam for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book.

Loved The Last Mrs. Parrish and still think about it years later. That was an easy 5 stars. I'm not even sure I liked this one but I will give all 3 stars to Daisy Ann. I wish we met her earlier in the story but I understand why we didn't. Jackson and Amber are still horrible, horrible people, sociopaths who will stop at nothing. Daphne? Oh Daphne, why did you go back for the summer? No good could come of that. I had little sympathy for her this time. The pace was too slow and the story a bit repetitive for at least the first half. Once the action ramped up, I was rooting for Daisy Ann all the way. The ending for Jackson was a little too pat - yet satisfying - and a disappointing cliffhanger for Amber. Looks like there might be a third Parrish book? If so, I will probably skip it.

As a fan of the Liv Constantine, this book is a fitting sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish. In some respects its even better than the first. Incorporoating characters from the prequel, The Frist Shot, allows you to fully understand why the demise of Amber was so welcome. Jackson and Amber are horrible and get what is coming to them, this makes Daphne and Daisy likeable characters. To fully understand this book, you will need to read the prequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish.

If this wasn’t a continuation of a series I would have given it 5 stars.

Four star psychological thriller. I enjoyed the suspense and there were some surprises in this story about marriage, divorce, money and murder! Thank you to Netgalley , Random House Publishing Group -Ballantine Bantam, and the author for the arc in exchange for my review.

I was someone who enjoyed The Last Mrs Parrish, but was not obsessed. Unfortunately, I liked this one less. It’s not by any means a bad book, just not for me. I’m not a big fan of rich people in books and this one had a lot of them. While there were a few “good for her moments” I ultimately felt this was an unnecessary sequel.

The Next Mrs. Parrish
by Liv Constantine
Pub date: June 18,2024

This book starts out with Jackson in prison for tax fraud. He is married to Amber who is still shady as ever and scheming to get rich quick. They have a son named Jax

Daphne, Jackson's first wife, returns to Bishops Harbor after living in California with her daughters. Her oldest had been missing her dad and he was getting out of prison soon and he manipulated her to want to see him. So Daphne pushes her gut feeling down and goes back to Bishops Harbor.

We have a new character, Daisy Ann, who is the daughter of one of Amber's mark and victim. She is a jewelry maker and is determined to get Amber for her fathers death even though she was found innocent when he died. Amber ends up at an event where Daisy Ann is showing her jewelry and it throws them both into a tailspin and a twisty ride begins.

This book is so good and the plot keeps you wanting to know what is coming next. There are wrongs to right and the twisty nature of the story is really well done. I love how Daisy Ann is in front of finding the truth and is ready to do anything to find the answers. I do love how the characters get what they deserve in the end.

I believe someone could read this as a standalone and it be able to follow the plot. Thank you to NetGalley, Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine | Bantam for the ARC in return for my honest opinion.

Find your next adventure in black and white.

II just reviewed The Next Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine. #TheNextMrsParrish #NetGalley
[NetGalley URL I absolutely loved this! It was a great follow to previous book. Its filled with all the anxiety and twists we loved. The return of the characters we love to hate is everything we wanted. I was not aware of a novella that is available to give more background to Amber but even without that you enjoy the addition of Daisy. I am excited to see everyone who loved the previous book read this.

I loved the first Mrs. Parrish book, so when I saw I was cleared for this ARC, i was pumped. However, I will say I don’t think there needed to be a sequel. That being said, I still enjoyed this book— but the pacing felt off and I didn’t really love Daisy Ann’s perspective. I don’t feel like it was necessary.

This was a most anticipated sequel for me. I loved the first book, and I wasn’t disappointed. The writing was excellent, and although the beginning was a little slow, it picked up speed in the middle and came to a satisfying conclusion. I found out recently that there was a prequel novella, which came out between the two novels. I didn’t read that, so maybe the first half would have been more riveting having read that in between. One suggestion would be to link all three somehow, so readers know about the prequel. This can be read as a stand-alone, but if you haven’t done so already, perhaps binge read all three.

I absolutely loved the Last Mrs. Parrish so I had high hopes for this one! It did not disappoint!

I love the continuation of Daphne & Amber's story. They added another character that left me questioning why until about halfway through the book. Eventually, everyone became connected. I love that the author created this new character and tied her to Daphne and Amber. It was great to hear each woman's experience through their own point of view. It helped the story development.

At times, I felt as though there was a little too much extra detail but overall it was a great read and I could not put it down at times. There were lots of emotions while reading this! It was suspenseful and dramatic! 4/5 stars!

The second installment of Mrs. Parrish did not disappoint! It picks up a few months or so from when the one ended. Daphne, who is finally at peace and is happy, gets manipulated into going back to the town for the summer where it all began! I was screaming at her to listen to me and stay in California, but then we wouldn’t have much of a thriller to read if she had! Amber is of course the same as before but with just more money! We do have a new player in the story, well maybe not new, but we learn much more about Daisy Ann and I liked her! She has some spunk and is definitely a strong female despite her old school mother-in-law.
There were a couple of parts of the book that I felt was a little slow, but the ending seemed a little rushed and in Amber’s case not plausible. I very much enjoyed the outcome for Jackson Parrish!
If there is a third installment, I would like to read more about Remi. She seems like she would be a great character to delve into!
Thank you to Bantam Publishing, the authors, and NetGalley for allowing me to read an advanced copy. I did round up from 4.5 stars.

This book started slow and felt ribbed in female competition. Quickly, things changed and suddenly the women were competent and cooperative, with all the pacing of the previous book. It was slow to start but had a great ending!

I really enjoyed this sequel. I absolutely loved the first book and enjoyed the continuation of the story. I do wish that I had known about the prequel before reading but I will read that next. Daisy being a grown adult and referring to her father as “daddy” the whole book was the only bad part of this novel.

I actually enjoyed this even more than the first book. You definitely must read The Last Mrs Parrish before reading this though. I would have preferred a slightly different ending but I was okay with the last chapter. I don’t want to drop any spoilers.

I was very excited to read the third book in this series, and it was definitely my favorite! So many twists and turns that kept me turning the pages. I have never had a book break my heart so many times for a character. Like the first book there were multiple POVs that brought all of the story lines together. Quick chapters and cliffhangers push the stories along swiftly. Highly recommend this book if you enjoyed the first two books.

A must read for all fans of the first book!

The Next Mrs. Parrish picks up shortly after the first book left off. Jackson Parrish is going to be released from prison shortly and Amber has to figure out a plan to keep money and her status afloat. Daphne, her daughters, and her mother are reunited and living in California and Daphne must deal with the struggles her girls are having with being cut off from their father. When Tallulah runs away from a school trip to try to see her father, Daphne agrees to bring the girls back to Bishops Harbor for the summer so Jackson can reconnect with his daughters. A new character is introduced from Amber’s past who has motives of her own. All the characters eventually connect and clash, but who will come out on top?

I will admit I was scared reading this book since I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish so much! I didn’t want this book to disappoint and I didn’t want anything bad to happen to Daphne or her girls. I am happy to say that The Next Mrs. Parrish is just as enjoyable as the first book! I enjoyed the twists and the way that the past and future have connected to make a great story. Highly recommend to all!

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group- Ballatine for an advanced copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

A super intense novel of revenge-seeking and capitalist individuals that leave no avenues unturned where millions are involved. I held my bandreath throughout hoping for revenge for the truthful and retribution for the dishonest. The novel did not disappoint.
