Thank you to Net Galley for this digital ARC. I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish and was thrilled to be approved for this ARC. If you liked The Last Mrs. Parrish you won’t be disappointed by The Next Mrs. Parrish!

I love Constantine's books and although this one was a follow-up to the previous, I had to take notes as there are so many crazy (and sometimes convoluted) plot lines that I took notes as I often do when there are many relationships and people in "disguise" when they need to hide an identity. This one focusses on three women: Amber, Daphne, and Daisy Ann as they fight over husbands, money, children, and...well, whatever they want that someone else has! Believe me, you do not want any part of this family--but reading about them is a hoot!
Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC!

Another thriller that kept me guessing from Liv Constantine. This book kept me guessing until the very end. I could not put this book down and loved all the twists and turns. This is a must read if you loved "The Last Mrs. Parrish"

Liv Constantine does it again with The Next Mrs. Parrish! I am not going to lie - this book took me a few weeks to get through I had to keep putting it down and taking breaks because I would get so invested in the story that I would physically feel anger or sadness for the characters. Constantine's writing pulls the readers into the lives' of the characters making you feel emotions on behalf of each one of them. The conversation between the characters flow so realistically and Constantine adds the perfect amount of descriptive narrative to give you a sense of the character's world without being overly described.
Daphne and her daughters have been trying to move on with their lives after moving to California while Jackson is serving time in prison. The older daughter, Tallulah, wants to have a relationship with her father and takes it upon herself to run away and go back to their family home where Jackson is staying after prison. Jackson pushes his way back into Daphne's life by using their daughters to force Daphne to come back home to him. Jackson thinks that Daphne is the perfect wife and that they can all be a happy family if she gives him one last chance. Daphne has other plans for Jackson and comes back home with the intention of freeing the girls from Jackson's control and getting enough evidence to have Jackson put out of their lives for forever.
Amber has plans. She has made it this far by getting away with murder and she will not stop until she has lots of money and freedom. Amber stumbles across an opportunity she cannot turn down. A brilliant scheme to stick it to Daisy Ann and make lots of money is right up her alley. She turns to Jackson for help and agree that they can work together to get each other what they both want - Jackson wants Daphne and Amber wants money and freedom. None of the characters, nor the reader, are prepared for all of the drama, back stabbing, and plot twists that are contained within this book!

The Next Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine
Absolutely loved the first book, The Last Mrs. Parrish, and was ecstatic to read the sequel.
******* This review contains SPOILERS if you did not read the first book *******
Just when you thought Jackson got what he deserved at the end of book 1, he is being released from prison and returning home to his wife Amber Parrish. Little does he know Amber has ulterior plans. Those plans quickly fall apart when Jackson is released from prison early and Amber has to quickly pivot her master plan.
We learn a lot more about Amber's sinful past and what a horrible person she really is. It turns out Amber and Jackson really are two peas in a pod.
One aspect that I did not like at all was the return of Daphne into the mix and the ease of complacency back to the old habits under Jacksons manipulative ways. I just felt like after all that she has been through I had a hard time believing she could bend the knee to Jackson so easily.
I loved the addition of Daisy Ann Briscoe as well as the surrounding characters that tell the story of who Daisy is and what and how her character fits into the overall storyline. This character really brings the story together in the end.
Overall rating 4.5 Almost as good as the first book but not quite a 5 start rating.
Thank you to #NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Publication date: June 18, 2024. Highly recommend reading this sequel !!

"The Next Mrs. Parrish" by Liv Constantine gives closure (we hope) to those that have been following Amber and her evil ways. This novel is very good cop vs bad cop but with lots of sparkle and glamour. Is Daphne okay? Will she continue to be okay? Does Amber get what is coming to her? Does Jackson? And what about the children?!? Read this book- you will finally have answers. 5 stars

This book is the continuation of "The Last Mrs. Parrish," a twisty thriller where a homewrecker doesn't realize she's being set up to take over an abusive husband's family by the wife who is trying to escape.
Daphne has escaped her ex-husband Jackson, and taken her girls to California. But her children don't understand the horrible things he's done, and begin to reach out to him in jail. Even though he's given up parental rights, Daphne brings the girls to see him when he's released. He claims that he's changed, but Daphne knows him, and doesn't trust him. It turns out she's right to suspect him, as he hatches a diabolical plan to get his children back.
Meanwhile, Jackson's soon-to-be new ex-wife, Amber, is still scheming. She wants to be able to take Jackson for all he's worth, but she's got some scores to settle first. All of these storylines converge for an explosive finale.
I really liked "The Last Mrs. Parrish" and was disappointed by the follow up. Much of the plot seemed surface level, and I struggled to connect with the characters and the choices they made in this book. It was a fast, easy read and it flowed, but it didn't seem as well-written as the first.

Thank you Bantam Books and Liv Constantine for the gifted advanced copy!
3.5 stars rounded up.
This was definitely an entertaining and twisty read, and fans of the first book in the series will likely enjoy this one just as much. I had a hard time with some of the dialogue but that's probably just a me problem.
I highly recommend reading The First Shot, which I would consider book 1.5 in the Mrs. Parrish series. It gives some background to one of the new POV chapters we get.
I was ultimately satisfied with how everything in this one wrapped up!
The Next Mrs. Parrish Pub Date is June 18.

ARC Review! Thank you @netgalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine
When I saw that Liv Constantine was writing a sequel to one of my favorite thrillers, I HAD to read it early... and it did not disappoint!!
This novel picks up with Daphne and her kids safely in California, far away from her abusive ex husband- Jackson, who sexually, mentally and emotionally abused her for years. She brilliantly tricked her husband in to having an affair and passed his gas-lighting butt off to Amber, a full fledge socio patch (actually they are perfect for each other).
Daphne's oldest daughter, Tallulah, is rebelling against Daphne and is wanting to have a relationship with her father, and against Daphne's better judgement (I mean, seriously against it) she decides to take the girls back to their home town to allow them to spend time with their father and their step brother (Amber and Jackson's son).
With ulterior motives, Jackson plays the "changed" husband after a brief stint in prison for tax evasion, and desperately want's to put his family back together after his divorce from Amber.
Amber, being the complete monster that she is, has found a new target for her vengeance and decides to attempt to take down the daughter of the man she married (and possible killed?) for embarrassing her at an event. (Petty, am I right?)
This is a full fledge cat and mouse with mind games, gas lighting, and a twist I didn't see coming! Such a fun read that I finished in two sittings. Also it had such a satisfying ending I was audibly cheering! 4 Stars!

If you read The Last Mrs. Parrish, this will answer a lot of questions and it’s a satisfying ending. Daphne and Amber are both in the picture, as are of course Jackson and all the children. Amber’s past comes back to haunt her in the most shocking way and let’s just say karma plays a big role. There’s a lot of Amber we don’t know until this book and she’s very much like Jackson, but there cannot be two alphas in a marriage but there can be a lot of mutual scheming and planning. Jackson certainly met his match.
Daphne has found herself living a great life with her girls and her mom. Everything thing seems to be going well for her except for the fact that one of her daughters wants to spend time with Jackson. That’s where things get real, and Daphne has to learn to play dirty or the dynamic duo of Jackson and Amber will destroy her.
Once again Live Constantine keeps me on edge and with her unexpected twists and turns and I am rooting for Daphne all the way.

I didn’t think I needed a sequel to the last mrs parrish book until now. This one was gripping. There were some parts that seemed to drag a little but that ended had my mind blown. So many twists and turns and unexpected events happening. I love Daphne. I think she’s a strong woman and knows what’s best for her and the girls and she doesn’t hold grudges.

This book was crazy (in the best way)! There were many twists and turns along the way, but it was such a satisfying conclusion.
I was glad to see the stories of Daphne and Amber continue, as I felt there was more to them than we saw. I was completely surprised by Daisy Ann making an appearance in this book, but it was the perfect way to add in another layer of the story.
Overall, it was very enjoyable and gave me exactly what I wanted: high stakes, twists, and good old fashioned revenge.
If you enjoyed the previous books, you will love this one!
Thank you Random House and Liv Constantine!
Review will be posted to Goodreads the week of publication.

Ohhhh she’s back and now what does she have up her sleeve. Amber got everything she wanted, but so did Daphne. Now we throw in a new character Daisy Ann and what is she after? How many skeletons does Amber have in her closet? What else can this self obsessed woman be up to?
I love Liv Constantine and their writing style. The twists, the turns and the whole shabang is worth every word.
Thank you #NetGalley for the advance copy.

WOW. This was the PERFECT follow up to The Last Mrs. Parrish. Liv Constantine is great at keeping their readers on their toes! I could never guess which way the story was going to go or what was going to happen between Jackson and Daphne. Liv Constantine also made this story more interesting by adding in characters from Amber's past along with their point of view which really kept me hooked in the story. I truly enjoyed reading The Next Mrs. Parrish and if you loved The Last Mrs. Parrish, you are going to want to read this!

I was given this book by NetGalley for an honest review
The story continues with Amber who started with nothing and has moved up in this world only to find their money is going with Jackson in jail for tax fraud. She needs to find a way to find some. Jackson getting out of jail wants his ex wife Daphne back. Amber and Jackson go in cahoots to give each their what they want but seriously can you trust either one? A fun read with many twists and turns which make it so exciting!

It’s been a few years since I read The Last Mrs Parrish, but I was immediately drawn back into the lives of these characters. The book really picked up speed about halfway through and I absolutely could not put it down!! The story took so many twists and turns and I could never predict exactly what was going to happen.
The ending was good, but so much happened so quickly that it gave me a little bit of whiplash. It was also left on a little bit of a cliffhanger, so I’m wondering if we’re also getting a third book?
Overall, I really enjoyed the second installment and everyone who loved the first book should pick it up as soon as it comes out!!
Big thank you to Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine and NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review!! Review will be posted June 4.

This book was super campy and pretty ridiculous but it'd make a good beach or pool read. Between the three narrators there were too many storylines and subplots packed in so the plot was all over the place and felt half-baked. It took a long time to get the point and the climax was a let down that led to a rushed ending. I wasn't really a fan of any of the characters and everyone felt like a one-dimensional caricature. Every other line out of Daisy Ann's mouth was "ya'll" or "hold your horses" so that we wouldn't forget she was from Texas and Amber and Daphne were constantly scheming and coming up with new plans that inevitably failed every chapter which got tiresome.
The plot bordered on absurd for most of the novel and I ultimately don't think this sequel needed to be made, but it was fun enough to keep me reading, just not super entertained or on the edge of my seat like I'd like to be with a thriller.

Easy 5 stars for this quick read thriller. There were so many twists during the last 25% that I could not put the book down. If you enjoyed "The Last Mrs. Parrish", you'll love "The Next Mrs. Parrish".

I didn’t think they could top the first book but they have successfully done so. There were so many twists and turns, I’m surprised I don’t have whiplash. It was amazing! Thanks NetGallery!

After reading the first book, I was pretty satisfied with how everything ended and wasn't sure there was room for more of Amber and Daphne's story. However, I really enjoyed The Next Mrs. Parrish and this ending was even better! The book was pretty slow at the beginning, and I almost gave up on it, but I'm so glad I didn't because at the 40% mark, things started picking up and then they never slowed down. There were some great twists/surprises and I really enjoyed the last 60% of the book. If you liked The Last Mrs. Parrish, I think you'll love The Next Mrs. Parrish!
