Another Finlay Donovan book that does just what it is supposed to! An entertaining read with many laugh-out-loud moments that kept me wondering what Finlay and Vero would do next. This time the entire gang is in Atlantic City, and all are up to something. The storyline is never believable but that doesn’t matter for pure enjoyment. This was a quick fast-paced, action packed read that had me shaking my head and certain situations they found themselves in. I can’t tell if everything was wrapped up nicely at the end or if there will be a #5 to the series. Only time will tell.

Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for allowing me to listen to an audiobook ARC of Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice.

WOW!! First off, I think this is my favorite book in the Finlay Donovan series! I loved getting to go on a roadtrip with Finlay and the gang and watch them fight their way out of multiple sticky situations. I was on the edge of my seat for the whole book and loved every minute of it. I really enjoyed getting to watch the romance develop between Finlay and Nick and Vero and Javi. This was such a fun read and I am so glad I read it! The situations they found themselves in felt very high stakes and I loved the development with previous encounters from the earlier books. Overall this was a great read and I highly recommend this series!

*4.5 Stars On My Instagram Account*

"My father had just passed a kidney stone that Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck could have blown up with less drama."

"Mommy's going to chase down some bad guys."

"What kind of assh0le would threaten Kevin Bacon?!"

The above are just nuggets from the hysterical comedy in the 4th, and latest, wild fast paced adventures of Finlay and her live in Nanny, BFF, and partner in crime, Vero, that can be found in Finlay Donovan Rolls The Dice by brilliant entertaining author Elle Cosimano.

This perfectly performed audiobook by voice actress Angela Dawe, who has the comedic timing of the best comedians like Lucille Ball, has Finlay and Vero taking off to Atlantic City right after their crazy weekend in Finlay Donovan Jumps The Gun; and to make it more hectic almost everyone's joining them there.

I laughed the most at Finlay's Mom with exotic dancer, "Steele Johnson," at Chubbie's. Now you're curious😂 Finlay and Vero try to rescue Vero's love Javi, find a stolen Aston Martin, deal with a loan shark, hide from Russian mob boss Felix and hope no one finds out about any of it. That's why they avoid Finlay's obnoxious ex-husband Steven, her drool worthy boyfriend Detective Nick, his ex crooked partner Charlie, his new anxious to please partner Joey, and her cop sister Georgia and FBI girlfriend Sam.

With hilarity and a wink to her audience, this writer solves many questions from Finlay's escapades. The only missing character was Finlay's nosy neighbor Mrs. Haggerty but don't worry; Finlay Donovan's roll of the dice seems to have landed in Mrs. Haggerty's backyard for book five. I will be patiently, okay, impatiently, waiting for the next episode of this modern day Lucy and Ethel comedy genius duo.

I received a free copy of this audiobook from #macmillanaudio via #NetGalley for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.

This series is always a great one to escape and enjoy the escapades of Finlay and company. You definitely have to read the other books in the series first in order to understand what’s going on in this one.

Elle Cosimano hits it out of the park again with the latest installment of Finlay and Vero wreaking havoc and solving crimes all at the same time. This duo crack me the hell up and I can't get enough of them! I can't wait for the next installment to come out - I need to find out where Vero & Javi's relationship ends up!!

Thank you to @minotaur_books and @macmillan.audio for the early copies of Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice! This book hits shelves TODAY!!!

I was so excited to get my hands on an early copy of Elle Cosimano’s fourth (and a half) installment of her Finlay Donovan series! This may have been the most outlandish and far-fetched adventure of Finlay and Vero yet…. But I still had a great time reading! That’s what I love most about this series. You’re going to have a good time reading, no matter what sort of jam Finlay and Vero end up in. Can’t wait for more!!!

I opt to listen to the Finlay Donovan series because narrator Angela Dawe knocks it out of the park with each installment. The voices, the emotion, the storytelling always grabs me, makes me laugh and sometimes roll my eyes. Now if we are talking about this series, I think it's time to close it out---the ridiculously and suspension of belief required is going above and beyond what is typical for the cozy mystery genre. But the narrator gets 5 stars.

Thank you Macmillan Audio for gifting me an ALC to review.

These get more and more ridiculous as each book is released but I still eat them all up!! This book happens over the span of a long weekend, which is hard to fathom given how much goes on! When do these people sleep?! It was messy, funny, entertaining and silly. Extremely low stakes “cozy mystery” with romance, friendship and family. I would never finish these books if not for the audio!

So fun! I love this series. It is light and interesting. It's a great palate cleanser from heaving topics every time!

My girl Finlay Donovan does it again! I love the ride Elle Cosimano takes her readers on with Finlay. Once again, character development was on par, the plot was original, and the humor throughout had me rolling with laughter. I love how easy of a read this was while providing a storyline that is not easily forgettable. That's how you know you have a good book. Love it!

It is rare to find a series that in it's fourth installment, has me laughing and feeling just as I did when I read the first. Finlay, Vero and the gang are such lovable characters, and I love reading about the unfortunately hilarious events they find themselves in. I would read about these characters for the rest of my life if Elle would continue publishing them,

The narration was great, the plot was full of twists and humor, and the ending left me yearning for more. A fantastic read!

I listened to the audio of this one and I always feel the audio of this series is very entertaining! The narrator is engaging, but the story was the same thing over again with the silly humor and unbelievable things happening. I really liked the first one of the series into the second, but for me, the series should have probably ended 2 books ago. I think I would have enjoyed this series more if it wasn’t so drawn out since it’s all a little repetitive. If you are a huge Finlay fan, you will probably like it because it’s more of the same crazy situations of trying to dig their way out of trouble.

This was such a fun read. Did I have to suspend disbelief? Yes, yes I did! But I was here for it and I devoured this book. So many laugh out loud moments. I enjoyed the ride! 🎲🚗🚓

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for the E-ARC. And to Macmillan Audio for the ALC.

All thoughts and opinions are honest and my own.

I thoroughly enjoyed this! Finlay Donovan is a light-hearted mystery filled with mishaps and misbehavior. The audiobook narration was on point. She was very engaging and enjoyable to listen to.

Overall, the story was easy to follow, especially coming from someone who has not read any of the previous books in the series. The story hinges on details from previous books, however there was enough backstory thoughtfully weaved into the narration to make the storyline easy to flow without having read the previous books. Furthermore, the backstory wasn't so cumbersome as to detract from the flow of this novel.

I would highly recommend for someone who is looking for a light-hearted mystery novel that doesn't take itself too seriously.

A girls' road trip isn't quite what it seems in the new installment of Finlay Donovan. I like Finlay, Very, and Finlay's mom. I think the portrayal of the ex-husband is believable, if a little sappy at times. I could do without the boyfriend - he's mostly a prop for smutty bits and going "eek the cops!"

I think these books are getting more romance-y over time. It's not my thing, but you can ignore those parts and still enjoy the mystery.

Kevin Bacon, the dog, was a nice addition here.

I don't understand the choice of narrator. She's fine, but she isn't at all how I would expect Finlay to be voiced.

Thank you NetGalley and LibroFM for the ARC. I will purchase for my library.

**4.5-stars rounded up**

Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice is the highly-anticipated 4th-installment to Elle Cosimano's Finlay Donovan Cozy Mystery series, featuring my favorite gal pals, Finlay and Vero!

When Finlay and Vero mention they need a Girls Weekend, people think rest, relaxation, that the women need to let their hair down. After the events at the Citizen's Police Academy, it wouldn't be surprising if they needed a break. This is Finlay and Vero though, so you know there's more to it than that. What they've really got planned is negotiating with a loan shark, rescuing Vero's childhood crush, Javi, and finding a stolen luxury car.

Getting away won't be so easy though. After Finlay's mother hears about the Girls Weekend to Atlantic City, she insists on going. They'll need help with the kids and she's a girl too. She wants in. Then Steven, Finlay's ex-husband, gets word of the trip and insists that Finlay cannot take the kids over a state border without his permission, which he's not giving, but he's willing to go along. Thus begins the most hilarious road trip from hell.

They check into a seedy casino hotel, two rooms of course, and Finlay and Vero get to work right away. It's tricky, but they don't have a lot of time. After negotiations with the loan shark, Marco, fail, the gals have to move on to Plan B. They'll just have to find the whereabouts of Javi and the Aston Martin themselves, using nothing but their phenomenal sleuthing skills. They figure out where Marco's suite is and decide to break in to search for clues. I mean, obviously, right!?

Unfortunately, they discover much more than they bargained for in that suite; Marco's dead body. With police circling like birds of prey, Finlay and Vero need to stay out of their sights, find Javi and get the heck out of dodge before they get accused of killing Marco themselves.

Y'all, I had so much fun with this. First of all, I was stoked to be back with this outrageous cast of characters. I love Finlay and Vero with my whole heart, but it's not just them. All the side characters are wildly entertaining as well.

The way this one kicked off, with the road trip to Atlantic City, was hilarious. Just how the girls thought they could get away real quick and do what they needed to do, and the next thing you know, we've got two rambunctious kids, a opinionated mother and a jerk of an ex-husband in tow.

Then Marco's hotel room. OMG, I was laughing out loud, exclaiming things. I couldn't believe how much they were bumbling up that crime scene. It was hilarious and people kept showing up! Like, oh, now Nick is here!? I loved that, how even though the setting had changed, we still ended up having the full cast of wacky characters.

I absolutely adored the Atlantic City setting. It's absurd how many opportunities for hi-jinks they had there. I was living for every minute of it.
IMO, this is an extremely strong addition to the series. At this point, my level of attachment for these characters is off the charts and this is one of my favorite mysteries so far.

Overall, Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice is another well-plotted, explosive, uproarious, utterly ridiculous adventure with Finlay and friends. 100% recommend to Readers who have enjoyed other books in this series. If you haven't started the series yet, but enjoy Cozy Mysteries full of OTT-humor and wild escapades, you definitely should give it a go.

Incidentally, I have listened to the audiobooks for the last three and have loved that format so much. The narration is perfect, A++!!!

Thank you so very much to the publisher, Macmillan Audio, for providing me with a copy to read and review. I love this series and hope that it continues for a long, long time!

Finlay and Vero can’t seem to catch a break. They have gotten themselves into another situation and are off to Atlantic CIty. As typical of Finlay Donovan stories, what was supposed to be a girl’s weekend, in disguise, quickly turned into a family affair with her mom, sister, children, and ex-husband tagging along. To make matters worse, Detective Nick and the FBI team just happen to show up in the same hotel that same weekend. Throw in a couple dead bodies, a lost dog, a stolen car and a runaway teen to the mix and you’ve got one wild and crazy ride. What could possibly go wrong?

The story picks back up exactly where book 3 ended. It ties up a few loose ends but creates a couple new ones. Not sure if there is a book 5 in the making, but this one was left open with the possibility of another one.

This was another laugh out loud, corny, chaotic filled mystery with the perfect setting, in a luxury hotel in Atlantic City. Finlay and Vero’s over-the-top crazy ideas and banter was hilarious. However, there was a lot going on and it was a little confusing at times with pretty much every character and storyline from the past 3 books all coming together in one place…literally.

Angela Dawe’s narration enhances the experience, bringing the characters to life with impeccable tones and inflections while creating a believable narration. Dawe delivered a spectacular performance from start to finish.

This book gets all the stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 from reading my first finlay donovan book to the 4th book I've been on a wildly, funny, nerve racking, heart pounding ride! The audio book is so good! Thank you netgalley for graciously approving me to read this 4th installment of the Finlay saga. I laughed, gasped and could not stop thinking about this book and had to read it every chance I got. I highly and unequivocally recommend this book👌 Elle Cosimano knows how to engage her readers and keep them guessing and entertained!

While I didn’t enjoy this book as much as the others in the series, I still like the series overall and thought this book was a fun read. These characters are so good and the witty one liners literally make me laugh out loud! The narrator did a great job especially with changing her voice to fit different characters and accents.
