Again. I liked it. It was fun and wild but it was also getting so unrealistic and I know it won’t stick with me. The books are all very tied together which I like in a sense as I read them all quite close together. But it also gave the books a lot of sameness.

I for sure prefer the audio as it’s such an easy book to listen to. It’s light and fun and entertaining.

Will I read the next book if there is one? Yes, yes I will.

3.5 out of 5 rounded up!

First up - thank you to MacMillan Audio for the audiobook! I prefer this series on audio over ebook or physical copy, so I was STOKED to get the audiobook early!

This series is for my mystery and true crime lovers that want a ridiculous (I mean REALLY unrealistic so you gotta be okay with that), fun (the drama and ridiculousness makes it fun, I promise), and hilarious mystery series that’s fabulous on audio!

The audiobook narrator for this series doesn’t miss - she captures the energy and character of the story incredibly well. Her voices for each character are perfect!!

This book was slightly better than book 3 (if I gave quarter ratings it might be a 3.75) but not as good as 1 and 2. The Atlantic City/casino setting really kept it from being a 3 star read for me. I loved all the shenanigans Finlay and Vero got into on this one due to the setting. However, there was SO much going on and so many characters involved that I think all the surprises and twists lost their effect after a while? I’m going to keep reading this series, but the first one is my favorite by far.

I thought maybe this one would be the last in the series (I’m just not a huge fan of long series), but it looks like after this ending we’ll definitely be getting more!

Typically, I find myself burning out from series after the third book. The fourth novel of the Finlay Donovan series revives the energy!

Finley’s supporting character Vero holds more of a part in this novel. The events in the story sheds some light on her background and adds to her character development.

At times, it did seem like a lot was happening in the story, but in the end, every little event was a piece of the puzzle overall.

Audiobook was great. I enjoyed the narrator.

Given 3 1/2 stars, but rounding up to 4!

Another hilarious installment in Finlay Donovan dog and pony show! She is definitely a train wreck, the one we just love to watch! How many terrible decisions will Finlay and Vero make? Nobody knows! Will any of their choices make sense? Probably not! Will we enjoy reading about it? Absolutely.
This book is full of humor, crime, Russian mafia, zero seriousness. I'm here for all of it. I also absolutely adore Angela Dawe and her interpretation of Vero. This whole series is a treat! I'm so happy I was able to get an advanced copy of this audiobook from Macmillan Audio and NetGalley. If you love you some Finlay and Vero, you'll like this installment!

I received this from the publisher. If you aren’t listening to these on audiobook, then you are really missing out. Angels Dawes is absolutely fantastic with this series and I wouldn’t want to read this any other way. This is another cozy mystery that takes you on one wild ride after another with Finlay and her sidekick Vero. The narrator of this has consistently made me lol at many of the witty banter scenes. Plus this one has a Dachshund named Kevin Bacon!! Love this series and hope it continues on.

I listened to the audiobook for the first three books in this series so I was so grateful to receive an audio copy of this ARC! I love the narrator for these books! The book itself was full of the comedy and action I have come to expect from Finlay and her crew. It is about murder and crime and there is some gnarly stuff but it never takes itself too seriously or goes too dark. I'll continue listening as long as there is more Finlay

This is the 4th Finlay Donovan book in the series. It opens on the same day as book 3 ends. Finlay and Vero head to Atlantic City to save Vero’s boyfriend, Javier, and rescue the Aston Martin. But things are never easy, so on the trip is also Finlay’s mom, her ex husband, Steven, and her two young kids, Delia and Zack. And once they finally make it to Atlantic City they are in for a big surprise or two as Vero and Fin find two bodies in a hotel room. Can they dispose of the bodies, rescue Javier, and find the Aston Martin without letting Finlay’s mom or Steven know what’s going on?

I listened to the audiobook. I thought the narrator was great, bringing different qualities to the various characters. The book was fast paced as usual, with lots of action. You kind of have to suspend belief to accept all that has happened in Finlay’s crime-solving career, but once you do the story is highly entertaining. We get to see Nick and Finlay’s relationship evolve and learn more about Steven and Finlay’s mom and sister. There were some very funny parts, and some suspenseful moments as well. I think there was room left for a fifth book in the series. Bring it on!

I have a lot of love for this series and Finlay/Vero's hijinks. The pacing in this is quick and keeps you engaged, without sacrificing reader comprehension. The majority of the story takes place in Atlantic City, so you don't have to worry about losing track of what's going on/where characters are. In theory, you could read this as a standalone, but it would lose a lot of the character development of Stephen and Nick. Looking forward to the next installment! Recommend for cozy mystery readers who might still want some tension in their story.

Fourth book in the Finlay Donovan series was my least favorite so far, but still tons of fun. This one centers around a road trip to Atlantic City with the same characters I’ve grown to love so much finding trouble and solving wacky crimes. These books are so silly and require complete suspension of disbelief but I will never quit reading them.

Finlay Donovan is back❤️ This time her and Vero are on the way to Atlantic City… with the kids, Steven, & Finlay’s mother! You just know this group is going to get themselves into some hilarious and dangerous situations. The story is full of surprises, twists, and laugh out loud moments. Angela Dawe does an outstanding job of bringing this audiobook and the characters to life. I highly recommend listening to this audiobook, along with the rest of this series. As always, I’m so excited for even more adventures with Finlay in the future.

Thank you @macmillan.audio for allowing me to listen to this audiobook ahead of publication in exchange for my honest review.

I have enjoyed all the books in this series, but I’m thrilled to say that book #4 is my new favorite and exactly what the series needed. Nonstop action and hilarious antics from Finlay and Vero had me flying through the pages. The addition of Finlay’s mother and her ex-husband was so fun! I almost died when her mother got mistaken for a bride at a male strip club! If you’ve been reading this series, you won’t want to wait to snatch this one up on pub day!

Thank you to Netgalley & the publisher for granting me early access to this arc.

I have followed along in the Finlay & Vero show for all 4 books now. So I have some thoughts about this book.

We are following the two girls as they embark on a road trip, because once again they are still dealing with the Russian Mob, but this time they've taken someone very important to Vero. So naturally they have to go and retrieve said person, but that does not come without their usually shenanigans. This book is filled with all of the humor that we have come to know and love from this series. So if you have enjoyed the other ones, I think you will like this one too.

I feel like the ending is leading into another book, and I don't like that. I think that whilst I have loved the series, it needs to end now. It is becoming very repetitive, and I find myself caring less and less for the characters. Overall, this was 3/5 Stars for me.

This was a GREAT story to listen to! AWESOME narration! Great main characters. The plot was easy to find. The story was engaging and easy to follow. Will be purchasing this book. Shout out to Netgalley and publishing for allowing me to listen and review this story.

Finlay always gets into shenanigans. I always enjoy this series. It’s fun and the misadventures her and Vero get themselves in is so fun and 🫣

How they manage it all I don’t know.

I like that it’s relatable on the mom front and dealing with spouses. And exciting on the other ends.

This was funny and entertaining!

I also love the narrator. I couldn’t hear Finlay as anyone else.

Nick and Javy 🥵 looking forward to more of them!

Read Veronica Ruiz Breaks the Bank 1st! It’s Vero’s origin story & SHORT. Finlay’s book 3 ends on a cliff hanger & this story fills holes. Vero’s brother, her love interest & why she’s not in college.

This is a whirl wind trip to Atlantic City with Steven, Finlay’s mom, her kids, her new boyfriend, her sister, her sister’s GF, the FBI … this story made me LAUGH! You know everything will turn out but getting there is all the fun! Dead bodies can be funny!

Just when you don't think the stakes could get any higher for Finlay and Vero there is always another level that will surprise you. The girls take you the weekend getaway that is really a plan to rescue Vero's man and recover the Aston Martin from the loan shark that took them. When they find the loan shark and associate dead it just creates more problems and makes if harder to find what they came for. Also as most of the family and cops still trying to clear the last case crash the trip how long can they keep this ruse up?

Such a wild ride. Loved all the shenanigans they all got up too and how everything played out in the end. Already can't wait for the next one what happened innthe last 30 seconds of the story.

Thank you to NetGalley and MacMillan Audio for an advanced audiobook for review.

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for granting me this ARC in exchange for an honest review. This book is set to be published March 5, 2024.

This is one of my most anticipated releases for 2024 and it did not disappoint. Finlay Donovan and the gang are back at it for another action packed adventure. I absolutely loved this addition to the series. Honestly, I would be happy reading anything in this universe. The characters are some of my favorite in any series and the action is always fun. Elle Cosimano is so good at writing mysteries. She gives you just enough clues to start to piece things together but doesn't make it so obvious that you figure everything out in the first few chapters.

I would like to give a special shoutout to the narrator, Angela Dawe. She is one of my favorite narrators of all time. Her voices are excellent and really bring these characters to life. Each character has such a distinct voice, it really blows me away every time. Honestly, she could narrate a list of all of my most embarrassing moments compiled in book form and I would still be absolutely obsessed with it.

I really enjoy the Finlay Donovan series! Funny in parts but fast pace enough to keep the pages turning. “Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice” is the third full length book in the series. I enjoyed the continuation of the misadventures of Finlay and Veronica however this was probably my least favorite of the series so far. Parts felt a bit chaotic and at times there seemed to be way too many characters in play making it a bit confusing. If you liked the others in the series this is a must read to keep up with what is happening with Finlay and particularly Vero! Looking forward to the next installment.

Great narration, helped keep characters unique with the different accents.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to listen to this audio boook in advance of publication!

4.5 ⭐️’s
The Finlay Donovan series is cleverly written and the predicaments Finlay and Vero get themselves in (and out) of will have you holding your breath one moment and laughing out loud the next. Cosimano never ceases to entertain with this series with her wonderful, wacky characters and their hilarious escapades. Finlay Donovan Rolls The Dice picks up where the last one left off, so do yourself a favor and start at the beginning of this delightfully fun series. You won’t want to miss a thing AND you won’t be disappointed! This was a dual read/listen for me and the narration is absolute perfection! Can’t wait for Finlay and Vero’s next caper! Thank you to St. Martin’s Press,Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for an ARC and ALC of this book.
