This may be my favorite series. It's excellent, funny, screwball comedy.

This is a nice continuation of the Finlay Donovan series. The first book began with an interesting plot bringing together Finlay and Vero, her babysitter who becomes so much more. Neither one of them has expected where this partnership would take them. Their wild new life continues on in this book.
If you haven't read the first three books in the series, I think it would be difficult to pick up this one as your entry into Finlay's adventures. But do yourself a favor and go and get the other books in this series, you'll be glad you did!
Thank you to Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for an ARC audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

I struggled. I was so excited for it as I loved books 1-2. Book 3 wasn’t as great but I was hopeful for this new book. I haven’t been able to finish it. (83%)
There are a few things that turned me off: #1 fin’s romance. She can have a boyfriend but I was tired of hearing about her throbbing loins and how weak in the knees she was as he bit her panties. Gross. I don’t read smut and romance for several reasons and was annoyed it crept into this series. #2 while the previous stories were any exactly plausible this was over the top on over the top. It kept taking me out of the story with how unbelievable it all was and the endless convenient coincidences.
#3 Vero is usually my favorite character I love her snark and personality but she was very muted and at times a sad puppy. It was disappointing
I don’t think I’ll read more in this series but will definitely recommend the first two!
Thanks anyway!!!

Thank you to Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for the ALC! The Finlay Donovan series is one of my favorites and this entry did not disappoint! Finlay, Vero, and the extended crew are back again for more hilarious hijinks, this time in Atlantic City. This series is the perfect balance of mystery, humor and authenticity. I love the characters so much, and that sentiment doesn’t wane as the cast continues to grow.
This felt like somewhat of a conclusion to the current saga/prominent storyline but by no means a conclusion to the series. I loved the way things wrapped up and I’m beyond excited to see what Finlay, Vero and the gang get into next. This is a must read series, and this installment is excellent! As usual, Angela Dawe does a phenomenal job with the narration!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just when I think this series can’t get any better! Finlay Donovan is coming into her own for sure and I’m here for all of it! The friendship between Vero & Finlay is probably my favorite part of this whole series. Lots of great characters in this latest installment. Even Kevin Bacon!

What a wild ride from beginning to end with secrets, kids, lost loves, and more. Vero and Finlay have a lot on their hands.
I’ve been looking forward to reading this one. Finlay’s life is stranger than the fiction that she writes. I love the dialogue, mostly from Vero which causes me to laugh out loud. “There is no way you are taking them out with Faberware, you need Le Creuset for that”.
At first I was scratching my head as to why Stephen would insist on going but as the story progressed, it was important for him to go along for the ride both to help with the kids as well as for him and Finlay to move on.
Finlay cannot help but mother those around her and it was a good thing as 17 year old Cam needed it.
I worried a bit if Javi would ever be found as Vero and Finlay spent a lot of time on evading protection and moving dead bodies.
I worry about Nick though, he is a bit shaken given what was uncovered and he doesn’t even know the half of what has happened. Charles’ comment about Nick finding out Finlay, was on point. Nick is working through his feelings about is partner, Joey. Glad about it.
A few storylines were resolved which I was glad to see. The ladies save the day, as “No one and I mean no one threatens Kevin Bacon and lives to tell about it” - LOL!
There are still a couple of loose ends that could continue impact Finlay’s life especially with the upcoming publication of Finlay’s book.
I didn’t expect the ending - oh my!
Thank you to #NetGalley for the opportunity to do an early read and share my thoughts on the story.
Happy Reading!

Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the audiobook version of this book. I am not affiliated with or compensated in any way for my review.
This is the fourth book in the series. I have loved every book so far. The plot line is far fetched but the characters have depth. This series can be read independently-- however the story/plot will make more sense if you start with book one.
I am giving this book a 4.75 but since that is not an option I will just round up to a 5

I looove this series to the max, you have no idea.
I’m always happy when a new one comes out.
It is such a fun cozy hilarious thriller that you can’t help but fall in love with it. This needs to be a tv series! Thank you NetGalley!

I love this series, it's so witty and fun but I found this latest book not as funny or enrapturing as the others sadly. I think there may have been too many characters involved for ME being able to stay engaged and invested in the story. There were definitely some hilarious moments and crazy antics, but overall I'm somewhat disappointed in this adventure of Finlay's.

Another great Finlay Donovan book. I love the relationship between FInlay and Vera. They are such a great pair who know nothing about solving a crime, but do a really good job of a solving a crime. Their friendship is one of the best parts of this book series. This is the fourth book in the series and I just wanted more books about them. One of my favorite mystery series that I read.

"'No! No, no, no, no,' I said, covering my eyes. 'There are not supposed to be any more dead guys! No more dead guys! It's only been ten days since the last one! Why does this keep happening?'"
In this latest installment from author Elle Cosimano, Finlay and the gang try their luck in Atlantic City, and, well, it wouldn't really be a Finlay Donovan novel if she and Vero didn't encounter any dead bodies, right? It seems like things just never go smoothly for them.
What an absolute blast! This one had me outright cackling. There are wacky antics, one-liners, and plenty of banter. Plus we get glimpses into the romantic relationships that started in earlier books.
I adore the voices Angela Dawe uses in the audiobook—especially the one she has for Nick. Her comedic timing and tone made me laugh-out-loud; she captures the emotions behind each scene; and she has a distinct voice for each character.
I received an advance copy of the audiobook from Macmillan Audio and NetGalley. All review opinions are my own.

Finlay & Vero are going on a road trip! And bring the kids, the ex-husband and Finlay's mom 😱. Antics ensue (of course). I thought the funniest parts were when Finlay was talking to her agent. For some reason I always picture Joey Tribbiani's agent Estelle 😃 when she's speaking to her.
I like how this one immediately followed the events of book three. I love reading about this friendship - keep the books coming!

Special thanks to Netgalley and Macmillan Audio for the advanced audiobook edition in exchange for my honest opinion.

The Finlay Donovan series is so fun! This one was action-packed and you definitely felt like you were taking down the bad guys. Of course there were all sorts of shenanigans and it’s a little far fetched, but I enjoyed it!
There is some language and crude humor.

Another amazing book in this series! Finlay and Vero get into the most crazy situations and I loved it! I enjoyed that this book took place in Atlantic City but still involved all the players from Northern Virginia. I absoultely love Nick and Finlay and want more of their relationship!
Based off the ending of this book I really really hope there are going to be more books in this series!
I absoultely loved the narration by Angela Dawe! I appreciate that she has performed all the books in this series and her ability to do accents truly brings this story to life.

Get ready to roll the dice with Finlay Donovan and her partner-in-crime, Vero, in another uproarious adventure that'll have you laughing out loud and on the edge of your seat!
I have to ask: How does this series keep getting better and better? Finlay and Vero are the ultimate cozy comfort read, and their latest escapade in Atlantic City is no exception. From negotiating with loan sharks, sleuthing out clues, and rescuing lovers these two ladies are a force to be reckoned with.
And can we talk about the narration? Half the fun of this series is listening to it as an audiobook, and let me tell you, the narration is top-notch. I couldn't put this down and ended up listening to it in half a day!
With jealous ex-husbands, precocious kids, and a decomposing loan shark thrown into the mix, Finlay has her hands full. But fear not, dear readers, because she's not one to fold under pressure. Instead, she doubles down on her determination to uncover the truth save the day, and keep it all a secret.
It's a high-stakes, high-humor, and a hefty dose of hilarity that'll leave you craving more. A must-read for cozy, funny, mystery readers.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ALC. All opinions are my own.

I screamed when I was approved for this one! I have been obsessed with the Finlay Donovan series since the start and I am so beyond thrilled to have been given the chance to get an advanced copy of the audiobook.
I could listen to a thousand Finlay Donovan novels. They’re the perfect balance of cozy mystery and thriller, and I love seeing what shenanigans Finlay and Vero get into next. The newest book in the series is no different. Right when I thought (and worried) that the book would wrap everything up and end the series, Cosimano DID. IT. AGAIN. She seriously is so talented - each book ties to one another while still remaining independent if you’re looking for a standalone (but seriously they are all so dang good you should read them all - including Vero’s novella).
I always end the book wanting more. I cannot wait for the next in the series! Angela Dawe does a fantastic job narrating the book and differentiating the characters.
Thank you so so so much to NetGalley, Macmillan, and the author for the chance to hear this part of Finlay and Vero’s escapades just a tad earlier than usual.

So fun! These are the perfect mix of fun and thrilling. I just love Finlay and Veros relationship. Loved seeing her mom more in this book also.

The adventures of Finlay Donovan and Vero finally have trip “away” to save Vero from a loan shark in Atlantic City, find her childhood ex-boyfriend, and to find THE car. ALL with Finlay’s ex-husband, mother, and two children! Book 4 picks up exactly where book 3 ends. I love the hilarious situations they always find themselves in and how they get themselves out! You can tell Finlay is an author and takes her research very seriously!
I really enjoyed this book. I am so excited for the next book! It was a little tough to get into right away but Finlay will always be my favorite.
The only spoiler I will give is Kevin Bacon is safe the entire book.
I listened to the audiobook and the narrator is still the fantastic, Angela Dawe, who is fantastic!!
Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the audio-arc of Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice 🎲

Finn and Vero are on their way to Atlantic City to save Javi from mob boss Marco. It becomes a whole family affair, and the ladies scheme up various plans to get away from their shadows to rescue Javi. What follows is trademark shenanigans and a couple dead bodies too, leaving Finn and Vero to solve their next perplexing conundrum.
Another great Finlay Donovan adventure! Angela Dawes is one of my favorite narrators, she embodies Finn and Vero perfectly. The line and joke delivery is spot on each time, making me laugh out loud from one moment to the next. Action packed and heartfelt are the signature themes for this series! The mystery and sleuthing is so engaging, entertaining and silly, I just love these characters so much. The whole gang shows up and callbacks to previous novels are always a nice touch. I’m channeling my inner Romelda and manifesting more Finlay books (or adaptations?) in the future!

3.5 rounded up.
Premise - Finlay Donovan is on the run again, with her nanny, two young kids, and ex-husband in tow. Shenanigans ensue!
This wasn’t quite as funny as I expected, but Finley Donovan is always a fun time. It’s definitely far fetched all the way through, but I enjoy a midlife character with a family and baggage.
