The chaos, mystery and humor have me completely invested in this series. 😂

We find Riley and Nick again, a month or so after the shenanigans from the first book. Only to find them even deeper in shenanigans with another case to solve. I love them together so much and they always make me giggle with how over the top they are. 😂

Plus the other members of the household truly make this book unforgettable and funny to read. Plus I enjoy the fact this book isn’t gory or too thrilling. A cozy mystery if you will.

I can’t wait to read the next book! Thank you NetGalley and Bloom Books for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Another laugh out loud, quirky installment from the world of Lucy Score’s favorite psychic! I just love the different friends, frenemies, and family and how this has such a great ensemble of supporting characters. It’s so different from anything else she has done. Would recommend!

I will always willingly dive into a Riley and Nick book. Book number two was just as good as book number one was. It instantly picks up where the first left off, so as the reader, you feel as if you're back with dear friends. The amazingly unique cast of characters is ever-present in The Corpse in the Closet.

Riley finds herself working for her hot PI boyfriend and also with Detective Weber, who came looking for help on a case. Of course, this sounds like a recipe for more danger, which we all know is exactly what it is.

The hilarious banter, the psychic vibes, the mystery and all the feelings make this an immensely enjoyable read.

Thank you to Bloom Books and NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for my honest review.

When I requested a copy of this book I didn't know it was the second in a series, so I went into this kind of lost because I didn't know the characters prior to this. A big portion of the book I spend it trying to figure out who was who and trying not to get people mixed up. Other than that, the story was fun and it had potential but it wasn't my favorite. Maybe I would've liked it more if I read the first book?

I've had Lucy Score's other contemporary books (that are not paranormal) in my tbr for a while and I know that I will enjoy those way more.

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review!

I really enjoyed this book. It made me laugh throughout and I did not guess the ending at all. I really enjoyed the characters and despite not reading the first book, the author gave just enough background to understand the backstory and made me want to go back and read the first book. I can't wait to read the next book in the installment!

Such a fun read! This book was even funnier than the last. I do love the mystery aspect of these books. They're super mysterious but also still light enough for me to just fly through them. Can't wait to dive into the next one!

I am so in love with this series! I do wish this book had more of the roommates but, I love Riley and Nick! He's learning to be such a great first time boyfriend. Can't wait to read the next book in this fun quirky mystery series!

DNF at 52%. I was liked the plot well enough, but it just felt like it moved so slowly, and the stuff with Riley's and Nick's families seemed extraneous and like it got in the way of the main plot, which was the mysteries. I also disliked the writing style, it felt boring. Nick was also insufferable to me; if a man acted that jealous and possessive around me, I'd leave him. I did like Riley and the ridiculous cast of side characters, though. Ultimately, not enough compelled me to finish this book. Even the murder mysteries didn't grip me enough to want to continue.

This was the 2nd installment in the Riley Thorne series by Lucy Score and I must say that it is even funnier then the first!

I love following Riley in the crazy situations she finds herself in. Getting to follow along with all the other characters in the story as well make it even more fun. I am excited to see what comes next from Lucy in the Riley Thorne series.

This is definitely a fun series if you want to read something light that will make you laugh out loud, while keeping you on the edge of your seat!

Riley Thorn and the Corpse in the Closet by Lucy Score is book 2 in the Riley Thorne series and it is an AMAZING!! This book is exactly what I needed, I laughed so much!! If you love books that are suspenseful, with mystery, hilariously funny, with a badass FMC, a sexy boyfriend, old people playing detectives, and women psychics then you are going to love this book!!

Riley Thorne is a psychic but she is struggling to with her ability. She is dating a hot PI named Nick and the banter between them is golden. Riley and Nick are investigating a murder much to her PI boyfriend Nick’s dismay. After her near death experience in the first book, Nick is reluctant but more careful with her. They find a body in a closet and they soon learn it has a connection to a missing persons case. The best part, their crazy elderly friends decide to help them investigate the case with them. The murderer attacks their next victim with glitter bombs so they know they are next.

This book reminded me the of Janet Evanovich Stephanie Plumb series and I loved it so much. I LOVED the main characters but the side characters made the book!! This fast paced book was full of glitter bombs, Elanora Basil the scary grandma, uncomfortable family dinners (especially the first one), her spiritual guide Gabe, old nosy neighbors/“detectives” what more could you ask for in a book? I want to read the entire series. Thank you to Bloom Books and NetGalley for letting me read this ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions.

Riley has a lot going on in her life. First her grandmother comes and finds her to tell her she needs to take her powers seriously. While this is occurring a homicide detective is trying to have her help figure out what happened the dead man in the closet. All this occurring while her private detective boyfriend Nick is trying to find a missing person. Things start going wrong when they meet Nicks parents, more bodies start piling up and Riley isnt sure what is going on.

This was a fun mystery book with a few twist in it. I thoroughly enjoyed it especially the character Riley. She seems quirky and interesting and someone I can relate to at times. Lucy Score makes sure to add in some humor to take on some of the bad stuff that happens as well! I would recommend!

I'm loving this author's mysteries. I didn't think anything could top her rom coms. I was wrong her mysteries are just as good if not better.

This is a very fun series, and I enjoy all of the characters involved. LC originally hooked me with the TWNGO series, so while this is a deviation from that sort of story, I do still like her writing style and her ability to build an entire community it's easy to fall into. While I hope she never stops writing books, I think she would be an amazing showrunner!

I had to ready this immediately after The Dead Guy Next Door. Again I thought the characters were great and enjoyed the plot. Don’t want it to end but again finished it really quick. Will for sure be recommending. Thanks for the opportunity to read it. Love Lucy Score so much!

Riley Thorne is once again sucked into another murder investigation much to her PI boyfriend Nick’s dismay. After Riley’s near death experience last time Nick is not looking for another situation to present itself, but it does anyway. When a body is found in a closet and a connection to a missing persons case is uncovered Riley, Nick and their kooky elderly friends are on the case again!

With glitter bombs, awkward first family dinners and a grandmother not to be messed with, this second installment of Riley Thorne is just as captivating as the first!

When I saw that I got approved for this, I immediately started reading the first in this series. That one was such a good read but this one was even better! The new mysteries in each book make it so fun to read & follow along. I'm surprised I've actually never heard of these books before but I will definitely be recommending them! Love that they end in little cliff hangers that make you really want to pick up the next book. She also adds the perfect amount of romance in them which I love. All around such an enjoyable read & I'm so glad I got this push into finally picking up one of her books. I'm looking forward to continuing this series & reading more of her books.
