A nonlinear biography where a woman talks about little snippets of her life revolving around the tons of bicycles she has owned. It's OK. My biggest takeaway is that she's lived in a lot of places in the Western Hemisphere.

This book was a nice travel through the narrators recollections. With the focus on their bicycles throughout the years, it felt like a memoir in the package of a micro-history. By focusing on the bicycles that Paola rides throughout times in her life, we are able to travel along with her and can let the bikes take control. There were moments where I felt like the story was a bit disjuncted with the years not always being sequential, but there is enough to keep us tied in. I think the end of the work is the most powerful and after you finish the work, knowing that the ending is coming, you appreciate the rest of it more. The art style was very unique, so moody and juvenile in a way. I didn't always love it but at other times it was so perfect for the moment.

Thank you NetGalley and Fantagraphics Books for the ARC.

A fascinating look at freedom, love, gender, and identity through different points in one's life, narrowed to bikes. They were such an integral part of her life but often changed frequently. A beautiful contemplative study.

In "All My Bicycles," Powerpaola writes about her life by way of all the bicycles she has owned. The stories are not really in any order, nor do they really begin or end - they are more like the author's memories than full stories.

A most beautiful representation of life through the cycle of, well, cycles. A BIG thank you to the publishers and the author for granting me this opportunity to read the ARC.

This was my first time reading a graphic novel memoir and I am so delighted that All My Bicycles is my entry point to the genre. All My Bicycles is Powerpaola's memoir as told through the various bicycles she's owned throughout her life. This novel is gorgeous both in the illustrations and prose; Powerpaola's style is dreamy and captivating.

I loved seeing her bicycles as a method of freedom and also how they came into and out of her life. This was especially touching as a cyclist myself, I remember all my bicycles, where they took me both physically and emotionally - and this memoir does an incredible job of reflecting all of that.

I truly can't recommend the novel enough, it's a fairly quick read and her illustrations will continue to stick with me.

Many thanks to the publisher, Fantagraphics, for providing me an advanced reader copy in exchange for my review.
