Short and sweet guide. It includes questions, interviews, some recipes (food and drink), and a "read next" list. The portion that discusses how to get involved was a nice addition.

I'm a sucker for a good discussion question, so I always try to pick up the NetGalley book club kits for books I've read. (Was "The Cave" on my to-read list anyway? Yes. Did I read it sooner than I might have otherwise because I knew I'd get bonus discussion questions...? I'll never tell.)

This book club kit features an author interview, discussion questions, printable bookmarks, and recipes for Syrian food and drinks to try—plus some questions related to the documentary that preceded this book (I have yet to watch it, but I prefer documentaries to Hollywood, so...I might have to), tips for taking action, and further reading. I think this is one where I might have preferred an interview with someone else (no insult to Dr. Ballour, who is eloquent and on point—just that the interview questions are largely asking about things that are already in the book), but there's plenty of fodder for thinking and for discussion.

A solid resource to accompany a valuable book.

A helpful toolkit for when I finish the book or suggest it for a book club. Thank you for letting me check out this well-written kit.

This is a well crafted book club kit to help readers discuss The Cave.
I truly was captivated by the story and the extreme hardships the victims of this senseless conflict had to endure plus the efforts to save lives by the doctors of The Cave.

This feels like a very timely book considering the genocide happening in Gaza and the effect that it is having on neighboring countries like Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Egypt. This book club kit is an excellent guide for my friends and I.

This was a great book guide! It was informative, engaging, and would be great for book clubs. The interviews & recipes were particularly unique, and are a nice touch along with the book itself.

This is a great way for book clubs and/or book get-togethers to decide and later discuss a book. I think everyone can pull alittle something if not more through Book Club Kits.

I love the Bookish Book Club guides!! They help pick a great book but also take care of all of the planning. The book marks for this book are so good! They cover everything from questions and drinks you can make. Thank you We Are Bookish!! I’m excited for us to read this book and meet as a book club with this guide.

A great book club guide for The Cave by Amani Ballour. I can see our adult book clubs enjoying the discussion questions and the information to follow up discussion provided in the kit.

This is a reasonable enough guide to The Cave, and no doubt useful for book group discussions, but there's little here that couldn't be found quickly and easily with a basic Google search. Also I personably found the inclusion of recipes inappropriate as the book itself is such an important and devastating one, that to imagine having a jolly get-together to talk about it with food and drink when the situation in Syria is still so appalling just felt wrong. Hence my low rating.

Good guide. Loved the insightful questions, inspirational bookmarks, and the tie-in with the documentary. I also appreciated the content about making a difference. It's a good call to action.

What a great resource. I loved so many things about this kit. The author interview was so interesting. I can see the discussion questions being so helpful. What a great idea to include bookmarks. There was a great collection of recipes. I liked how there was enough for a meal and yet also could be used to provide a dessert for the bookclub event. All of these ideas will make a bookclub special. This was such a teaser that I defintely will be seaking out the book.

I thought this book club kit for THE CAVE by Amani Ballour/ Rania Abouzeid was very thorough and would be useful for book clubs. The questions were thought provoking and would help people in the group to voice their opinions. The recipes were a fun touch, and most likely, the majority of book club members in North America would appreciate the ideas. A couple of the ingredients may not be readily available, but with advance planning I'm sure they can be located online.

I’m always happy to add another book club kit to my collection of bookish resources, especially when it comes to books like The Cave – if you read it, you most definitely are going to want to talk to others about it, to discuss it. This is another great resource to use if you are planning a meeting or discussion about this particular book.
