Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

This was a very fun read with the child and it was well loved. The book was fun and the facts at the end were a great inclusion to share.

This was a great middle grade novel! The time travel and action packed chapters make it a fast paced interesting story. It was really interesting to learn about the time period and the Chicago Fair as well. I recognized some of the names along the way and I was really happy that the section in the back introduced the real history of the people we met during the story. I really like the historical fiction mixed with time travel. It is a great mix for this age group that keeps the plot intriguing. I will keep an eye out for more of this series!

I think kids who love mystery and adventure will love this book. And I could tell from the title that it would be funny! My favorite part was when they were rescuing the time machine from under water comparing it to putting a wet phone in rice.
There was also a lot to learn about that time in history, with the Chicago World's Fair and its exhibits from around the world. The children get to meet interesting people, including a snake oil salesman. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this
