It's a sweet story. Jace and Betsy are friends first and then lovers.

Betsy is insecure and she had a complicated relationship with her mom (because her mom is mentally ill), and it was well done, she never thought about her mom in a bad way or called her crazy, it was heartbreaking because her mom tends to hurt Betsy feelings but because she's ill not because she wants to hurt her.

It was easy to relate with Betsy, she was a really good person, always giving but never taking. She had to learn to be more selfish, I think.

Anyways, the romance was cute, sweet and slow burn.

It's not a bad book but I just didn't love it. It was good but nothing memorable.

2.75 stars - I hate giving unfavorable reviews, but honesty is important, so here goes. Please remember that this is just one person's opinion.

These were some whiny characters! Mind you, to my knowledge, I haven’t had to live with someone who is battling mental illness and then find myself exhibiting their neurosis. Nor did I lose my parents at a young age, only to have someone who shows love by buying things after long absences raise me. So, I don’t really understand these hardships. However, I don’t want to read a book about a bunch of insecure people, who jump to all the wrong conclusions, because they don’t talk things out and/or hide things from people they claim to trust.

Aside from the insecure, woe is me foolishness, this was a decent read. I just wish the characters were stronger, more confident people. Because as is, it was pretty exhausting at times.

I received an ARC of this book, via Net Galley, in exchange for a fair and honest review

Awww what a sweet read!

This is Book 2 of the Shamrock Falls series, and while it is part of a series, it can definitely be read as a standalone. First time reading this author and was not disappointed.

Please note that an ARC was generously provided in exchange for an honest review of which this is both honest and completely voluntary.

The story of Betsy and Jace. They marry so he can get his hands on his inheritance. She knows she will fall for him and end up hurt, but she agrees anyway. As they spend time together they grow closer, but Betsy has a secret she doesn't want to share.

Just my Luck by Kelley Vitollo. This was my first book by Kelley and it was adorable. It was a fake marriage story and appears to be in a series although it read well as a stand alone. I thought the two characters were cute together. Betsy has a crush on her boss Jace. Betsy has a family situation that causes her to need extra funds which is why she agrees to Jace’s proposal to a fake marriage for six months.
The author creates fun scenes where they got to know each other’s fun little quirks. Betsy was a closet sports fanatic. Just my Luck is a sweet feel good romance. It is one of those books I could not stop reading just to follow the couple through their romance

Another difficult book to review. It was neither good nor bad, just somewhere in between. I liked the H but found the h hard to relate to. The pace of the book was quite slow, with a big bang of drama towards the end. There just wasn't a certain element that pulled me in and kept me reading, instead I found that I started skimming the middle part of the book. Overall, an OK story, just too slow for my taste. *I received a copy of this story from NetGalley and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Betsy has been Jace’s paralegal for some time. Despite her crush on him, they are only friends. However, a bizarre clause in Jace’s grandfather’s will is going to change that. In order to inherit his parents’ house, he must be married and live with his wife for six months. Jace has always been a player, but he needs to find a temporary wife. Betsy seems the logical bride. He knows that she needs money, and she won’t take it from him for nothing. They strike a bargain to marry and live together for six months. Much to Jace’s surprise, he falls in love with his wife who is also in love with him. They both have issues that need to be addressed before they can have their HEA.

I received a free copy from netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed just my luck. After two disappointing books that I couldn't even get a quarter through this book was a pleasant change of pace. The couple was sweet and the relationship progression was natural even if the fake marriage scenario was ridiculous. I could not wait to get to the end of the story, so much so that I read this book in in a single sitting and it is currently 1 am.

Super sweet, light and fun read. I adored these characters and was so thrilled toi see them get their own story after having so enjoyed the last book in this series. A wholly satisfying, well written romance.
