I didn’t think much of this book, until Asa showed up. There’s really not a lot to the characters. I learned more about Jean Harlow that any of the people. The mystery focuses mostly on the horses which is fin, the murder feels very second hand. #DeathByTheft #NetGalley

A good cozy mystery about the theft of a colt. Josiah (kept thinking this was a man instead of a woman) and the help of her daughter expose the thief and the colt. Not sure why, but also really enjoyed her working with the bees. Felt it was relaxing. Would recommend this book and author.

"Death by Theft (a Josiah Reynolds Mystery #19)" by Abigail Keam is a big horse theft a bit murder mystery. This one was also more Josiah's daughter, Asa, solving/resolving the mysteries. Yes, Josiah got some odd the answers but it was really mostly Asa. Asa is some kind of secret agent/private investigator and used her skills and connections to track down the missing foal and culprit(s).
