All of the main character's feelings are REALLY. He gets scared because the sun isn't up yet. The sun is taking the day off and thought no one would mind. The main character has to work through fear and then has a good day.

Really Bird is back and shares about a day that started a bit scary and turned into a fun day with friends. The sun did not come up so Bird and his friends set off to wake it up. Once the sun was shining, everyone enjoyed a day on the pond. I appreciate how Ziefert slips science information (weather in this book) into her stories. Readers see the characters share facts with each other. More informative text is included at the end of the book. Looking forward to adding this one to our library.

This is a cute book about a bird and his friends, wanting to have an adventure, but worried the sun won’t come out. It eventually did and they were able to enjoy their day. I really liked the illustrations. They were cute.

This is a cute picture book about Really Bird, who makes little things into challenges because of his anxiety. He makes it through events he's not happy about, like unexpected rain, and he is able to deal with his challenges while spending time with his friends.
