It's hard for me to review this book.

It's a well written book, nicely paced, and it even surprised me with the turn the events took. These are all good points and I think readers of MC romances will like this.

However, for the first time reading a book I couldn't keep up with the heroine. She is always mad, always putting her needs and ideas before any situation, I just couldn't warm up to her. Even when she accepts there is only one solution, the journey to this feels strange and unnatural.

I understand her pain, but I feel there is not enough substance in the story to explain her motives. They are mentioned, yes, but not in a way that can endear her. Maybe this will be elucidated in a next book, but what was shown couldn't make me relate to her. She is just mad all the time with the people who want to protect her, but she is willing to placate the one who mistreats her..

The book is a typical MC meets security book, and while it is not very dark, there are some aspects that are true to this kind of characters. The hero is more endearing than the heroine, and his love for her is beautifully represented and the group seems like an intriguing bunch, there is potential here.

My stars go for the story, for the writing, that I appreciated, but if a book lives me stressed because of the heroine, I believe that book was not for me. It's worth exploring, but only if this kind of drama is what you like to read.

I received a copy of this in order to share my view on it.

While I found Cassie a tad annoying it was an overall good story. Wasn't as heavy in the darker side as a lot of other MC Romance stories are which was a nice change as it focused on the relationship between Cassie and Slade (Steven).
There is a novella prequel coming which will give great insight to how this all began for them which I'm excited to read. Along with the next one as this one ended on a cliffhanger!

I am always open to reading a good MC romance, but this was an utter disappointment. The blurb of the book is what got me interested in the book and I was hopeful for an action packed and suspenseful book with a mix of romance in it, but it just did not live up to my expectations. The storyline was bland, multiple questions were left unanswered (like it was not clear how or why Steven "Slade" went to prison or what happened to Cassie's other brother), and although the romance heated up between Slade and Cassie, Slade hooked up with another girl and Cassie randomly gets engaged to another man halfway through the book. Aren't Slade and Cassie supposed to be in love?. I almost did not finish this book but pushed through, but I will not be reading the next book.

This is a MC Dark Romantic Suspense, and this is the first book in the Savage Bloods series. I have read the Novella book that came out before this book, but I do not think you have to before reading this book. I really love these characters in this series, and this book has a ton of action and suspense. I love the connection that you can feel between the two main characters in this book. WOW... the ending of this book was so great, but in some ways it leaves you hanging. I really cannot wait to picked up the next book in this series. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.

Motorcycle club romances are one of my weaknesses, and this one turned out to be even more complex than I imagined - in a good way! I like the mystery running through the book, and I like the twist to the club's motivations. the characters were likeable, and I enjoyed the second chance romance thread through the whole thing. If I could change one thing, I wish that the characters would have stopped arguing for a few minutes. The FMC spends most of the book being mad and arguing and doing things that made me want to pull my hair out. People are trying to kill her, but she still doesn't want to cooperate. The explanation is made toward the end, but I still had a hard time with it.

I enjoyed the book, but I must admit that while the storyline is intriguing, and I do want to see what happens next, I'm not sure I cared enough about the characters to continue. It does end on a semi cliffhanger as well, so if you aren't a fan, you should be aware. The romance is pretty well sealed, but the overarching storyline is still unresolved. If you like MC romances, second chance romance, and characters who bicker a lot, then you'll love this.

Okay so I'm all for unrequited love but this seemed so rushed. I needed some more angst. Overall the story was pretty cookie cutter which is fine, I wasn't expecting a reinvention of the wheel of an MC universe, just something to make it memorable. Just not for me, rushed and mediocre plot.

*Thank you for the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I am not touching this book again even with a 10-foot poleeeeeeeee. To say that the book wasn't my cup of tea would be the understatement of the eon. There is another woman AND another man involved. Cassie is deeply heartbroken that she is not with her ex who later on proposes to her and she doesn't refuse his proposal. Slade's first woman out of the prison is someone who looks very much alike Cassie but even Cassie and we read in detail what he is doing to her. The club kitties are a thing but not mine. The other woman is present a lot and the only thing that would have been worse is if she were Cassie's sister. The book had like 4/7 pet peeves of mine and I didn't want to skim the 40% that was left of it. I couldn't care for any of the characters or the plot. The book is a no-no for me and I am not sure if I will give this author another chance. At least not in the immediate future.

I loved this book from the first chapter. The characters suck you in and you can’t help but feel what they are feeling. I couldn’t put it down until I finished and now I was to read the next book in the series. It leaves you hanging on a huge discovery.

Thank you to Netgalley, the author, and publisher for an arc copy!

I enjoyed this book! This is full of action, spice, and all the bad boys you’re looking for. This is a motorcycle gang forbidden love story. Where the love interest is the sister of the head of the club, and she’s the number one target by a drug cartel.

To add, be careful with this book if you are sensitive to topics about blood and death.

Savage Passion is a fun blend of a motorcycle club and a mercenary group. Our FMC is under threat because of the work her brother and his MC does for the government and the only person who can protect her is her first, first crush, first partner, and first love.

I really enjoyed the first half of this book, Cassie seemed like a strong woman with a north compass that made sense and totally justified. But dam this girl lost the literal plot in the second half. From simpering at her ex to folding on her morals almost immediately it was hard to read a strong woman be willing to give it all up for a man that didn’t chose her the first time.

I am HOOKED 😍

I am always an absolute sucker for an MC romance & this one did not disappoint.
Space & Cassie were such a freaking explosion of emotion & passion the whole time, everytime they were in the room together you could feel the sparks.
After 6 years incarcerated Slade is given a full pardon & when he gets back into town all he wants to do is be with Cassie but the problem is Cassie wants nothing to do with him after what he did to her 6 years ago & she HATES the Savage bloods MC.
I loved the tension between Cassie & Slade throughout the book & I LOVE THAT HE FIGHTS FOR HER.
Slade is 🌶️❤️‍🔥🥵

I absolutely did not see that twist coming in the end & I cannot wait for the next book !!

Steven “Slade” Graham just got out of prison and is headed back home to Michigan, where he is VP of the Savage Bloods motorcycle club. Almost immediately he runs back into Cassie and is swept up with feelings, both of their past and present. The only tricky thing with wanting Cassie though is that she has been declared off limits by her brother and the president of the club…..but how long can she and Slade resist one another?

As much as she initially wanted, she can’t resist staying away from Slade, especially as he’s forced to protect her from someone wishing to seek revenge against her brother.

This book is filled with spicy scenes from the start and we see many “need you now” moments in the book, but the plot could have been written a little better. There is also lot of action as they create a plan to keep Cassie safe and deal with any threats that come up in the mean time. Some of the plot twists near the end as they figure out who’s trying to hurt Cassie do seem a little far fetched.

Regardless of this, this was a very easy read filled with steamy moments, my favorites of which include the kitchen and shower scenes!

Thank you to NetGalley and Ember Sparks for the opportunity to read this early in exchange for my honest review.
