Kawaii Birdies are a Japanese artform that is easy to learn, at least with the help of this book.

The author begins with two simple circles. Soon, the reader will find pages of details to add from noses to wing shapes. A full-color pictorial of different types of birds is also included. I think anyone with a set of colored pencils will be drawing beautiful Kawaii Birdies after finishing this book. Just in case you can’t wait, there are also several coloring pages of the birds in the back just needing your coloring expertise. 5 stars!

This is an adorable reference book for kawaii birdies! My favourite part is how passionate the author is about birds and caring for birds and their environment.

And the birdies in this book are incredibly cute - my favourite part was the one with bird activities, so relatable!

A great edition for budding artists who enjoy the Kawaii style. Good instructions and helpful information on every part of drawing birds.

My niece loves to draw. I just love to do it with her. KAWAII BIRDIES by Jen Budrock has been fun for the both of us. So I can say it's fun for all ages.

We had an enjoyable and educational experience learning how to draw birds! The clear instructions definitely made it easy to follow along. The variety of cute birds were certainly inspiring to draw. We appreciate the tips to draw the different parts of the birds, for example tail and beak shapes.

Cute (kawaii) birds indeed! I recommend it for beginners like us.

I love art and I thought this would be a great way to learn about drawing birds, I was right. Everything was easy to understand and follow and I got some good skills out of it. 10/10 do reccomend.

This was such a fun drawing book.
I loved how much variety there was for each aspect of kawaii bird drawing. There was variations for poses, facial expression and plenty of different types of birds. The tutorials were super easy to follow along with. Overall just a very adorable book and I will definitely be adding it to my physical collection.

As I am trying to improve my art skills and I love birds I was excited to see this book. It didn't disappoint. I really liked the range of options included and it has certainly inspired me to try new things.

Kawaii Birdies is a beautifully arranged informative book on how to draw kawaii birds. It provides a step-by-step tutorial on a variety of birds, their activities, shenanigans, and more. The final pages of the book include enlarged illustrations meant for coloring in, something which can be very useful when learning how to draw while tracing. I can see this becoming a much-beloved book for the right reader who can use the knowledge gained in this book to make drawing cute birds their party trick.

Kawaii Birdies by Jen Budrock. I love drawing with my grandchildren. I think all my grandchildren would love this book. I especially love the flamingo and hummingbird.

This book is adorable. The instructions are easy to follow and the results are SO cute. I loved the variety as well. I will most likely purchase a physical copy for myself when this comes out!

I’ve been a huge fan of Jen’s artwork after following them on their Instagram, Birdhism, a while ago. I was very excited to get an advanced copy of this book, and I will definitely be buying a copy when it’s released! Inside, you will find a little about Jen and their bird activism as well as what kawaii means. Then there’s a section on tools before you get to a great note on what this book is for. I love that they encourage their readers to continue drawing even when their abilities don’t meet their personal expectations. It’s great that so many artists are encouraging their readers to keep trying and remind everyone that drawing is a skill that takes time to level up.

Rather than the tutorials going from easy to hard, they are set up in the following sections: old world, new world, domestic, and wild birds. Then we get to drawing bird poses, which made me want to try drawing various birds sleeping on various things. I love that there’s tutorials on how to draw the birds with so many different objects, such as boxes and surfboards. It really helps artists of all levels see how important basic shapes play into drawing, especially circles, which is a basic shape used to start sketching out just about everything one might want to draw.

This was an excellent book for people of all ages that’s cute, fun, and encouraging. I also love that there are a few pages for drawing that have encouraging birds in the corners. It’s such a nice touch. Plus, there’s few coloring pages at the very end, which is exciting for anyone who likes coloring books. It’s such a great book that may bring more attention to this wonderful artist.

I've never read a drawing book before. It was so fun and cute! It was wonderful to see all the different types of activities a fluffy, plump bird can do.

Was such a cute little interactive drawing guide! As someone who loves doodling and loves birds this was really up my alley! I loved doodling different onesie my journal.

This book provides loads to easy-to-follow guides to drawing a variety of cute birds. The step by step instructions make it simple to quickly draw your own birds. I had a lot of fun drawing these and am now intrigued by some of the other books in the Kawaii series.

This book is another great installment in the Kawaii series! As someone who’s a notoriously bad drawer I managed to draw a galah on procreate following this guide and I couldn’t be happier. It’s a great starting platform for those of us who want to be creative but haven’t yet developed the skills to express themselves and need a little handholding with a step by step guide.

I adore webcomics like "A Budgie's Life" by Atusori so this artbook is a delight! The breakdown of the different shapes is newbie friendly but they also included a lot of scientifically accurate information about the different bird species. Ten out of ten!
