Okay, this book had me cracking up, and the characters are amazing. I'm addicted to reading not scary at all books during spooky season instead of scary ones. I will probably go back and read the others in this series.

Equal parts sexy and funny, A Werewolf’s Guide to Seducing a Vampire captivated my attention. Hawley’s writing never ceases to amaze. This book was devoured in a single night. I refused to sleep until I had finished it and I’m so glad I did.

I had initially reviewed this as a dnf but decided to give it another try when i got into paranormal romances and i can say this book did not dissappoint!!! it was funny, with easy banter, great chemistry, and a rom-com type of chemistry.

i will definitely try to read more of Sarah Hawleys books soon since i actually had SUCH a great time with this one.

5 Sparkly, Bitey, Emotionally Devastating Stars

Imagine accidentally drunk-buying a cursed eBay trinket and waking up to a 600-year-old French vampire succubus in your living room, who technically has to obey your every command… but you're a cardigan-wearing werewolf with anxiety, a deep respect for consent, and the emotional fortitude of a wet paper towel. Reader, I am OBSESSED.

Ben: soft, anxious, sweater-vested werewolf who just wants to water his plants, knit quietly, and not own a sentient being.

Eleonore: knife-sharp vampire succubus assassin with PTSD, who could crush you between her thighs and might if you don't stop trying to take advantage of her cinnamon roll roommate.

Together? They are the human equivalent of "do not touch him, he's baby" meets "touch him and you die."

I came for the paranormal chaos, but I stayed for the trauma healing, top-tier consent scenes, and vampire/furry cohabitation energy. The steam? Spicy. The emotions? Unhinged. The communication? So healthy it made my therapist proud.

Also, there’s neck biting. And... other biting.

Highlights include:

Accidentally becoming roommates via online impulse buy
Found family that’s equal parts emotionally supportive and unhinged
A werewolf who hates being a werewolf (but loves a snacky vamp)
The vampire quoting Star Trek to process modern life
Emotional growth via knitting and murder prevention
10/10 would let Eleonore punch me in the face and then cry into Ben's hand-knit scarf about it. This book made my heart bite itself.

This book was hard to get through, the writing felt off or juvenile to me. I had to DNF this just before I was halfway through. Perhaps I was expecting something different.

I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley. Review based on final copy. All opinions are my own.
While I really loved the first two Glimmer Falls books, I really struggled to get into the third one, A Werewolf’s Guide to Seducing a Vampire. This is my second attempt, after having DNFed it the first time, and while I liked it more this time around, I still feel like something was a bit lacking.
I do love the continued world building of Glimmer Falls, even if it’s not that deep. The little references and magical parallels to the real world always have me in stitches, especially one about a werewolf on The Bachelor…can Sarah Hawley please write that book? I know reality show books are overdone, but I don’t think I’ve seen one with paranormal creatures!
And the two leads and their romance was really fun. I liked that Ben had his quirks, like enjoying knitting and gardening, and his experience with anxiety disorder definitely resonated with me. While I didn’t connect as much with Eleonore, I love that this one turned the dynamics on their head after the previous two books by having the FMC be the somewhat more villainous one. Their dynamic is cute, but I can’t say I was super-blown away by them as a couple.
But the aspects that really let me down this time around were the slow pacing and a rather underwhelming external plot. Things really dragged along aimlessly, and I found myself not all that invested in whether Eleonore’s curse would be broken or not. And there’s also another plotline about the election between Ben’s sister and Calladia’s villainous mother, Cynthia, for mayor, and compared to the excellent political plot in the last book, this failed to interest me in the slightest.
While I was very underwhelmed by this one, it’s still a cute read, in spite of its flaws, and I’d recommend it to readers who enjoy lighthearted paranormal romcoms.

Glimmer Falls Book 3: A Werewolf’s Guide to Seducing a Vampire by Sarah Hawley is everything you want in a paranormal romance! A werewolf and a vampire succubus? Perfect match. But wait—it gets even better. Ben is sweet, caring, and anxious, while Eleonore is tough, with a "touch me and you die" attitude. This pairing was absolute perfection.

At first, Eleonore doesn’t trust Ben due to the nature of their bond (he literally owns her, but don’t worry, he’d never hurt her). However, she quickly sees just how kind and generous he is, maybe a little too much for his own good. This sparks Eleonore’s protective instincts, and she makes it her mission to keep people from taking advantage of him. Beneath her tough exterior, Eleonore is also incredibly sweet. Her trauma and PTSD have made her build up a thick armor, but Ben and the community of Glimmer Falls help her find a place where she can heal, be happy, and feel loved.

The romance between these two was pure magic. Their personalities matched so beautifully—Eleonore’s protectiveness and Ben’s deep caring created such a lovely dynamic. And the steam? Off the charts! There’s neck biting, and let’s just say the steamier moments are top-tier. The communication and consent in their relationship were handled perfectly, making every moment even more intense and meaningful.

If you love a unique paranormal romance with deep characters, high steam, and a swoon-worthy love story, A Werewolf’s Guide to Seducing a Vampire is a must-read!

Ben is achingly shy — got too drunk at Marial and Oz’s wedding — and purchased a cursed plastic stone and promptly forgot. Eleanora popped out — stuck in some form of the rock for the last 600 years. What are the two of them to do? Ben doesn’t want to control her, in fact he promises to help free her. Ben, anxiety-ridden and stretched to thin helps Eleanora adjust to the 21st century. And Eleanora, well, she definitely has PTSD but finds she loves theatre. The third book in this series deals with some tough topics, while also making you laugh.

This was such a cute story that pulled me right out of my reading slumps I could feel coming on. I loved being back in the small town of Glimmer Falls, and Ben was the perfect introverted cinnamon roll hero to Eleonore’s firecracker personality!

I paired the book with audio and loved them both, and thought the narration was great!

*many thanks to Berkley Romance, Netgalley, and PRH audio for the gifted copy for review

Not as engaging as the first two in the series but I like the mmc a lot. I don't feel like he fit with the love interest and I wasn't as invested in her journey as I think I should have been. She seemed to abrasive for the world, even if that was the point. Overall I enjoyed the read.

I really loved the third book in this series. The characters were well fleshed out and the steamy scenes were written very well. Plus I always enjoy a planned series that revisits characters from the same friend group or town. A fun read.

This was a quick and easy read! I absolutely loved the first book in this series so it was very exciting to receive this arc! I thought overall this was cute and it was fun being back in Glimmer Falls again!! Thank you so much for the arc!!

Thank you NetGalley and Berkeley for this copy! This was such a fun, cozy read. I didn’t realize that it was the third book in a series when I requested it, but that’s ok! I related to the MMC in so many ways, which was funny. There were elements of the writing that I felt could’ve been stronger, but I had an enjoyable reading experience nonetheless. A solid romcom! I’m looking forward to seeing how this author’s writing continues to develop!

When opposites attract is mixed with forced proximity, sparks fly. Again another good choice for a slightly different rom com. I already know that werewolves and vampires are like oil and water, but they are bound together by a spell they get the chance to really know one another.

Dual POVs make the reader all knowing. I really like when I get to know what both sides are thinking. In that will they won’t they moment, I get to see what is holding them back.

Not that I read a lot of fantasy romances, but this is might be one of the most unique ones I’ve read.

This was definitely an enchanting and cozy read.

Enjoyable (somehow didn't realize this was the third in the series, whoops) so I may go back and read the other two because I enjoyed what I saw of those characters too. I really dig the modern world that just happens to have a bunch of fantasy creatures, what can I say.

Perfect for the spooky season, which is all year, in my opinion, this fun romance touched on everything I love in a supernatural romance--secrets, sexy times, and characters who make me laugh and reflect.

Finally got around to finishing this one and I'm so glad I did as it was a wild ride from start to finish. In this book we follow Ben, the owner of the Annex and Mariel's boss a lone-wolf literally. After a few too many drinks he places an order for a crystal little did he know the crystal actually contained a vampire named Eleonore. Elenore has been trapped in the for hundreds of years and was only let out when someone needed murdering so safe to say she had quite the learning curve. It was really enjoyable to watch these two characters interact with each other and what a great ending to the Glimmer Fall series.

Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review.

This was a surprisingly different read. I initially thought this was part of a series I had started, but after a bit, I realized it wasn’t. Instead, it was a so refreshingly different! A werewolf with anxiety, after a drunken night of online shopping, buys an enchanted crystal supposedly containing a “vampire succubus assassin. After all, the advertisement was so ridiculously written, it couldn’t be true! Oh, but what a surprise when it arrives and contains the most amazing vampire assassin ever! Sure, she’s a little bloodthirsty, and a bit out of time, and wants to disembowel the witch who trapped her for 600 hundred years in the crystal and made her her own personal assassin, but somehow, these two manage to coexist together.
A lot of things go on throughout their story, a mayoral race, experimental theater, knitting, plants, an eclectic mix of friends, trying to track down that elusive witch to break the curse trapping Eleanora to that stupid crystal, panic attacks…. This might’ve distracted from their burgeoning feelings for each other, but somehow it blended nicely.
I was really appreciative of the handling of mental health. Ben is anxious, prone to panic attacks, has nervous ticks, is endearingly emotional, and uncomfortable with public speaking. That he’s a massive man with everything you expect a werewolf to have, but so unlike most of the “alpha male” characteristics most werewolves in other stories portray, was just beautifully done. His social anxiety was handled with a deft hand, and I was so glad the author didn’t make Eleanora treat him as if he was something less than for it. Instead, they balanced each other in unexpected ways. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
