Smitten with the Orthopedic Surgeon by Daphne Dyer is a captivating romantic comedy that will leave you laughing out loud and rooting for the characters. When Natalie, aka "Hurricane," is humiliated by her ex in front of her entire neighborhood bar, she decides to take a three-week trip to Texas to learn how to smoke a brisket. Little does she know that her smoking instructor will be the sexy stranger she met the night before, orthopedic surgeon Dr. Ethan James. Ethan is immediately drawn to Natalie's vivacious personality and outspoken nature, but he's also hiding a secret: he's not really a chef. As Natalie and Ethan spend more time together, they learn more about each other's pasts and present challenges. Natalie is determined to help Ethan figure out why he's keeping his profession a secret, and in the process, they fall deeply in love. But their relationship is put to the test when Natalie discovers that Ethan's family has a long-lost secret of their own. Natalie's surrogate grandfather, who she has always known as "Pop," is actually Ethan's long-lost uncle. With the help of Pop, Natalie and Ethan embark on a journey to uncover the truth about his past and bring his family back together. Smitten with the Orthopedic Surgeon is a well-written and engaging novel that will appeal to readers of all ages. Dyer's characters are well-developed and relatable, and the plot is both heartwarming and suspenseful. This is a must-read for fans of romantic comedies and anyone who loves a good mystery.

Two excellent characters that keep you guessing on what is round the corner.

I do love stories that I can escape into and this did not disappoint.

A lovely clean romance story featuring two strong characters to enjoy, as they banter together, and also the mystery surrounding why Turner was court-martialled and never returned home keeps the reader engaged. Lots of characters are brought into this story as you would expect in a small town, but the reader does not get overwhelmed, and hopefully we will meet and get to hear their own stories in another book.

This book kept my emotions bouncing all over. Keegan and Bridgette are two people who are amazed by each other. The romance and emotion in this book is a feel good just have to keep reading kind. For me that made their connection even better. They knew who they were and had no problem just being themselves. This romance book for me was one that I will read again and again. The author has the right amount of everything packed into this story and made me like the characters in the book.Thank you NetGalley, Daphne Dyer and Skyway Creative Endeavors for the copy of Smitten with the Orthopedic Surgeon. This is my personal review.

A beautiful, clean romance, with hints of mystery, and plenty of misunderstandings. There are almost 2 stories running simultaneously, with the main being Keegan and Bridgette, but also the mystery of Turner and why he went away. There are many side characters, but the author has written things so well that it doesn’t get confusing. Overall this is a sweet, heartwarming romance that makes you want to read more in the series, to continue following the lives of all the characters. I’d recommend for fans of Hart of Dixie
