Never got around to reading this title. Maybe I will in the future. What drew me to this book was the hype for the author on YouTube. Thank you so much for the opportunity to preview and review this title.

This was so much fun. Reyna and Kianthe find themselves, yet again, in a crazy situation. I love how they always find themselves in the middle of the trouble or their previous trouble brings them to a new and somehow connected thing. I love the dedication in this one and the doubled lesbians did not disappoint!! I have been loving the characters and their dynamic! Nothing like reading an established Sapphic relationship written by someone in an established Sapphic relationship. If you loved Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree, This series is a must read!
I picked this up because I was wanting to read a book of something I had already established knowledge on! I'm so glad I chose this one because it was so easy to get into after reading book one (even though that was months ago!) I can't wait to read the next one!

This was a charming and a nice break from some darker, longer reads lately. I enjoyed the mixture of heart, humor and romance as we revisited old characters and discovered new ones in this swashbuckling setting. Not my favorite in the world but still a nice, light experience.

A fun continuation to Reyna and Kianthe's story full of adventure, danger, and romance.

While this book is set mostly on ships setting sail it still has that cozy feeling the first book had. It highlights how well Reyna and Kianthe work together and how their bond and respect for one another only grows stronger. There's much more adventure as the two set out to get the dragon eggs back to their rightful place to protect their town. This book introduces Serina, a Peter Pan - esque pirate and her childhood friend Bobbie, who just happens to be the constable tasked with capturing the pirate. Reyna and Kianthe quickly see a spark between the two and decide to do some meddling in not only the mission of capturing Serena but also the relationship between Serena and Bobbie.

Like the first book there's a lot of humor - of course, plenty of corny jokes and puns especially. Thorne's writing is easy to fly through and keeps you engaged with each chapter. The magic and fantasy of the world sucks you in and there's PIRATES!

Between dragons, mages, and swordplay, I didn’t think the world could get more fun, but Rebecca had me from the dedication… Thank you for double the lesbians! Dreggs, Serina, and Bobbi were such a fun addition to the world!

The introduction of Ponder was amazing, and I’m so excited to see her grow up!

I truly did miss Tawney in this story but loved exploring more of the world! Adding in swashbuckling hijinx and adventure was such a fun way for Rebecca to navigate her story through real themes of greed, class divide, and out of touch rulers.

Reyna and Kianthe are investigating a disappearance of dragon eggs in order to save their new home but, their investigation takes turn when their main lead asks them to track down a notorious pirate in exchange for his help. They quickly realize that this job may be more complicated than they thought, as the the constable assigned to help them has a (romantic) history with this pirate.

This was just as cozy and adorable as the 1st book! This book was great as a quick palate cleanser in between darker or heavier reads or, if you are just looking for something cute and light to read.

Serina is a farmer-turned-pirate on the run, and Kianthe and Reyna are determined to find her. They team up with Bobbie, a constable and Serina's childhood friend-turned-enemy.

Although Serina is a pirate, she's more of a Robin Hood-type character. She takes food that is being hoarded and distributing it to the hungry. I love it when characters poised to be the villains in traditional fantasy are actually just plain badass.

As Kianthe and Reyna watch everything unfold, they realize they might need to pause their hunt for dragon eggs. Their village will be fine, right?

A Pirate's Life for Tea presents readers with more sapphic love, a decent amount of action, and crochet! (Bobbie crochets as a way to calm her nerves and I SO relate!)

If you loved Can't Spell Treason Without Tea, I highly recommend picking up A Pirate's Life for Tea. It's the perfect continuation for Reyna and Kianthe's story.

Such a cute, enjoyable fantasy romance. The perfect palate cleanser between harder hitting fantasy reads. I love love love pirate fantasy, make it queer and I’m eating it up. Will definitely be going back to read again.

I already adored the first one, so I was already going into the second one with high hopes. I can happily say that the sequel was just as good as the first! I loved the addition of Bobby and Serina, the crewmates, and the fun pirate shenanigans. I like there was a discussion around taxation and government distribution of all things, and I think it fit well with the established dynamics in the world. A lot of cozy fantasy seems to avoid "hard" discussions like that, and this one doesn't which I highly appreciate. This is a solid follow up, and I can't wait to read the next!

I was so excited to be back in Kianthe and Reyna's world! Their relationship and understanding of each other is so sweet to read on the pages. I also enjoyed meeting the new supporting characters, especially Serina and Bobbie! On their newest quest, Kianthe and Reyna continue to work together as a team, sometimes getting into sticky situations. They continue to want the best for each other and others they meet, which gets them into a matchmaking situation which was fun to watch unfold! I can't wait for the next to see how their story will continue! Thank you to Tor Publishing Group for an advanced copy! All thoughts and opinions are my own!

A Pirate's Life for Tea is book 2 in the Tomes and Tea series. It continues the story of Kianthe and Reyna as they go on a quest to search for stolen dragon eggs. While they set out on this adventure they end up in the middle of kerfuffle between a farmer turned river pirate and the Darin of the Nacean River, where she steals his grain stores to distribute like a pirate Robin Hood and the Diarn takes issue with that. Diarn Arlon conscripts Kianthe and Reyna to help with this "problem". Constable Bobbie also joins their crew, who happens to have a long history with Serina. During their adventure Kianthe and Reyna realize that there is something else beyond friendship brewing for Bobbie and Serina and Rayna quickly goes into matchmaker mode for these disaster lesbians.

This is Bookshops and Bonedust meets Our Flag Means Death. It' s cozy while still being adventurous, funny while still being heartwarming and cozy. I love that this has double the lesbians out of spite for critics for her first book (her dedication is *chef's kiss*). I absolutely love this series and loved this new adventure for Reyna and Kianthe. I can't wait for the next installment of this series!

Another fun installment in the love saga of two who should have never met. I love this sapphic romance set on the seas this time with nefarious swashbucklers and constables who do all the right things.

If you like the first book in the series highly recommend this one...and yes read them in order!

This is a very sweet and fun sequel to Can’t Spell Treason Without Tea, as our heroines romp around riverside cities and get involved with a pair of true disaster lesbians. I think I enjoyed this more than the first one. It’s cozy in the sense that you know things are going to turn out alright, rather than in the way of there being next to no stakes. Indeed the stakes include near death experiences, famine, execution, and government corruption. But it rattles along nicely and ends up in the right places

3.5, rounded up. I feel a bit curmudgeonly when I admit that I missed the coziness of Tawney and New Tomes and Tea, but it was also fun to meet new characters and see Reyna in her swashbuckling element. My favorite part, however, is in the dedication: "To the people who gave me one-star reviews because the first book 'had lesbians,' I doubled the lesbians in this one. Just for you."

I loved these books. They were such a cozy fantasy vibe and I had fun from beginning to end. From the cast of lovable characters to the plot, it was just a win for me. These were just what I needed after being in a huge slump.

I had so much fun meeting Reyna and Kianthe and following their journey.

Serina and Bobbie made me want to pull my hair out but they got it right in the end.

All of the side characters were great and I would love to read their stories.

I listen to it and... You know, Rebecca Thorne is now one of my favorite autor. Cozy Fantasy is high in my favorite genre... When you add a bit od romance and adventure you got the full intearessant story !

My goodness, what a delight these books are. Thorne's books are like a warm hug when you are feeling low and slow, and the ways in which she builds community in her worlds is so endearing. Gives me hope for all of us in the real world.
