Cute story about forgiveness. The drawings were great as well.
I especially like how the book was laid out 1st with the story, then questions, then some activities for you to do and finally with some text for parents.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc.

A sweet story with a beautiful message. Lovely pictures. Helps the reader learn to forgive and be kind. The pages in the back are so helpful. There are activities and suggestions. Great discussion book. I was blessed with a free ARC, and I’m voluntarily leaving my review.

This story was such a cute way to teach the valuable lesson of forgiveness to your littles. While it’s very easy to hold a grudge, sometimes there’s a lot more to the story and you should learn to forgive and be kind always. I highly recommend this book not only for libraries but also for classrooms. There is great supplementary material at the end. Questions to ask for reading comprehension, tips on how to be kind, a fun craft and tips for parents.

Squirrel Learns to Forgive is a beautiful story that portrays the main character's journey through an accidental sticky situation with a friend. By a simple act of kindness, as well as showing compassion and empathy in his friend's time of need, Squirrel is able to "patch things up" and learn a very valuable life lesson- that accidents happen and forgiveness is healing.

This book was so much more than I imagined upon opening the front cover. It is obvious that this author/ illustrator combo is especially in tune with their target audience. It is evident that they have written this book to not only entertain, but also to be used as a helpful tool for the grown ups involved! From the story to the GORGEOUS illustrations, to the phenomenal extra special added features- this book is sure to be a staple on our shelf for the long haul. It truly is so much more than just a story and I highly recommend to any parent, teacher or care giver out there!

This book was so cute and well done. We all make mistakes and need forgiveness. The illustrations were so well done and the characters were great!! The story was cute and then the follow up questions were really well done.

I love the activities and think that kiddos will love it. This could be picked up by a babysitter, teacher, parent or sibling to help a child process that we all make mistakes and how we can ask for forgiveness and process the friendships we have and how we deal with conflict.

I highly recommend this book for children to read and have available in every classroom.

Keep Reading and find your next adventure in black and white.

What a cute book about kindness and forgiveness. Sometimes things happen to us that hurt our feelings. What do we do with this. Do we stay mad or forgive?

This story is about Squirrel who is so excited to enter a baking competition. Goat knocks the cake over and squirrel is upset. What squirrel does to show kindness is what we should all do.

This book has words that pop out for emphasis and comprehension. As well as crafts you can make and questions you can ask your kiddo. It even has learning information for grown ups.

The illustrator did a great job and the book is very cute. This book has an audience age range of 3-5 but I definitely think some older children would like this book and understand it a bit better. I know for my 3 year olds preference this book may be a bit too long. Aside from that, I think it’s a great book that teaches about forgiveness and it has questions at the end parents can ask their children to re-cap what they’ve read and show what they’ve learned. I received an advance reader copy from NetGalley for an honest review.

This is a good Social emotional learning book. It provides a good start of conversation book for early elementary school. The teacher and students can begin discussing intentions, and understanding someone else's situation. The book shows multiple motivates for acts of kindness and helping others that can be used in the classroom.

5/5 Stars

Kindness Club: Squirrel Learns to Forgive was a sweet, emotionally educational read that emphasized the importance of considering the circumstances before becoming angry at someone else's actions.

I read this book with my four year old and six year old. This was a cute book, in the best way, but the author also crafted a wholly interesting world for the kids to explore! Each character was unique, and they all had different houses. There was even a neat map at the beginning that my kids really had a fun time discussing.

I really enjoyed this book, and so did my kids, and we will definitely look for more works by this author!

Thank you Ella Law and DK Children for this NetGalley ARC!

I LOVE this book. I love everything about this book: the illustration, the concept, the education, the questions at the end of the story, and fun activities at the end of the book. This is beautifully done and officially a new fan of this series. I know that this would involve reading several times to my boys and guess what? It'll be worth it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this. It's also just so cute. The Notes for grown-up at the end = beautiful touch!

I will definitely be looking out for the future series on this as well.

I really love in the beginning how it has a map and a character list, as this is great for introducing background knowledge before reading. I also like how some words are bolded to help add emphasis. The illustrations are beautiful while not being overly stimulating. What a great story encouraging kids to be kind!
