Sierra - a human raised by werewolves - struggles with her feelings for her best friend Xayden as he approaches ascension to full shifting and the discovery of his fated mate.

This book could use some editing. There were a lot of interesting ideas, but too much of the story was pure exposition. I had a hard time figuring out who was important in the story - too many characters named in passing and never mentioned again. I also feel like the plot didn't begin until 3/4 of the way through the book. The ending was a little abrupt with some plot hooks for book two.

This was a strong start to this series, it had everything that I was looking for and enjoyed from the genre. It was a great introduction to the world and characters. It left me excited to read more in this series as I enjoyed this entry a lot. I'd be happy to read more from Rebecca Torrellas.
