Super Woman Wealth by Regina McCann Hess is a guidebook for beginners wanting to take control of their personal finances. Personal finance isn't intuitive and there are a lot of concepts that seemingly get shared in whisper networks. Yes, we have a vast internet that can provide information on how to get started but this book will help women start their journey to saving, paying of debt, and investing for retirement, but this book organizes it all and provides a start. While this is bare bones explanation with anecdotes of the author's clientele, there's enough content to get Super Women started on the path of financial independence. ]
Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

A detailed financial guide for women by a woman and more importantly from a woman's point of view.
Women are the pillars of the family and this is even more true for professional women but somehow financial planning is something which doesn't automatically come to the top of their discussions. This book helps bring finance and finance planning into a more comfortable level for them.

Regina has done a wonderful job of using her own life experiences and incidents to help guide readers understand the concepts of finance in simple words and play a more active role in their financial roles. She seems to bring her experience as a financial planner to good use. The book was a surprisingly readable unlike many a normal financial book. The usage of practical experiences make the book and its concepts doable.
The only shortcoming that I see is that because it pertains to the American financial system, many of the given suggestions would not be applicable.

I love reading self-help books and books dealing with life and financial planning. This book when I read the blurb was right in the zone.

"WOMEN ARE INCREDIBLE. We are strong, empowering, emotional, loving, and fierce. We are nurturers and natural caregivers . We are resourceful, adaptable, and resilient. We possess the sixth sense of female intuition (which is often right !). We have compassion, are excellent listeners, and make effective leaders. We are mothers, executives, and CEOs. We can organize a household and a family, and still manage to work full-time. Simply put, we are remarkable!"
This paragraph from the book sums up what Regina has tried to inject into the readers (specifically women).
In the book, Regina has stated how she discusses matters with her client by asking open ended questions. For simplification the book details a complete list of questions that can be used as a self assessment sheet by the reader as a financial journal. The questions are varied and I have tried answering the bulk of them and have found clarity. The questions are very detailed and a small extract is mentioned below to provide a glimpse into what it means.

The main bifurcations are -
1. Your Early Life Caregivers/ family:
2. Family status:
3. Money talk:
4. Early education/ culture:
5. Early work life:
6. Your Financial Education and Adulthood Education and professional life:
7. Marriage/ relationships:
8. Children: Do you have children?

The book provides a guide as to how to approach these questions and responses.

I felt that this was an effective way to use this book as a guide to upgrade ones financial understanding and improve fiscal planning.

Appreciate the book and recommend it to readers.

I chose this book to read because I felt like I "should" want to read it. As I got into the book I started understanding more about my attitudes and background around money. I was surprised to really enjoy it. It helped me to understand myself and start the process of evaluating my own choices about money. I would definitely recommend Super Woman Wealth to my friends.

I like to read in this genre a fair bit and so I can’t say I learnt anything new, although the common points about managing finances were very sound.

I do think that this book is better for American audience as when it delves into specifics it’s all about their retirement/healthcare systems.
