Another favorite couple of mine. Fun mix of romance and wit and lots of fun with some mystery mixed in.

I love this author but the series fell flat for me unfortunately. Can’t wait to read other books by her though.

While I've adored Riley and Nick thus far, I feel like I'm starting to get bored with them. This book was cute but it didn't grab me like the others and I struggled to finish it.

this one was WILD. it was so different from what i’ve read from lucy score in the past, and though it wasn’t necessarily my cup of tea, it was a very fun read.

the blast from the past is book 3 in the riley thorn series, and i definitely should have read book 1 and 2 before this one. i think i would have enjoyed this a lot more had i read the books in order, but overall this was a fun and honestly kind of bizzarre book lol.

this was a super low angst, laugh-out-loud novel, and honestly just a darn good time. so if you like quirky, over the top small town characters and crazy plot twists, i recommend you check this out.

I'm obsessed with this series! I love Riley and Nick and all the shenanigans they get into. Their neighbors are hilarious and add a lot to the story even if sometimes their scenes make my head spin haha.

Riley's plotline with her psychic powers and psychic flu was so fun and original. I loved the connection to her body and her powers, and the weird issues with Sesame.

I can literally read this series forever so I hope Lucy plans on continuing this series for the years to come!

lucy score's riley thorn series is a delightful mix of wit, charm, and romance that will sweep you off your feet and leave you longing for more. i recently binged the first three books because they were super easy and fun to read. they are full of lovable characters, engaging plotlines, and irresistible charm. it's the perfect escape for anyone in need of a feel-good read.

our main character riley thorn is a refreshingly real protagonist who navigates life's ups and downs with equal parts sass and vulnerability. from her quirky personality to her relatable struggles, riley is the kind of character readers can't help but root for. her journey—from small-town florist to unexpected celebrity—provides the perfect backdrop for a series filled with love, laughter, and plenty of surprises.

i really enjoyed the third book in this series, the blast from the past. all of her novels have a unique story. i think these books would be perfect for lovers of the show Brooklyn 99.

read if you love
- opposites attract
- fun romance
- redeption arcs
- witty characters
- crime setting

The Blast From the Past is the third book in the Riley Thorn series, and it's just as funny as the first two. Riley, Nick and the crew are back for some hilarious antics. It's smart, yet stupidly and amusingly ridiculous. I love the witty banter, silly scenes and immature humor. Ha! There is a birthday/Halloween party that had me laughing hysterically the whole way through. This series is full of quirky and comical characters, and we get to meet a few new people who add to the wacky ensemble.

Score writes in her author notes that she had originally planned the Riley Thorn series to be a trilogy, but she has plenty more ideas and a new 4th book is coming out in July, 2024. Hooray! I hope there will be even more. Be sure to read the whole series! It's entertaining and humorous. Thank you to NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books for the digital ARC.

DNF. I kept trying to read this book but it felt like a chore. I love the author but unfortunately didn’t read the previous books in the series so i just could not for the life of me get into it. So many things just didn’t make sense to me I’m assuming because I didn’t read the previous books. Maybe it would have been better otherwise but I was not a fan.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Riley Thorn series by Lucy Score The Blast from the Past is no exception. If you are looking for a sarcastic, romantic, action packed book, look no further! I can't get enough of Riley and Nick - this read is absolutely a blast to read!

Book 3 finally finds Riley and Nick moved into their new abode and trying to tackle a long list of to-do's. Nick's new "silent partner", Mrs. Penny is up to all of her old antics and finding some new cases for them to solve, including the Case of the Dog Doody Bandit (which is exactly what is sounds like). However, Nick is more obsessed than ever with cracking the cold case that has been haunting him for 6 years. Somehow, in all of this, Riley manages to get herself kidnapped (again) by strangers in a white limo and catch the "psychic flu". Yep, just another normal day.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books for this Advance Reader Copy in exchange for my unbiased review. All opinions are my own.

Riley and Nick are so much fun!
Now that they live in their new fixer-upper, just a hop and skip from the old Victorian they shared with an eccentric bunch of seniors, Nick has big, naked plans for him and Riley. Right after he tracks down his ex-partner's sister- a case that has haunted him for years.
Riley is excited to start the next phase of her relationship with the handsome P.I., but thanks to her slightly scary, psychic grandmother's vision of a very live dead person, Nick is obsessed with the case and forgotten his honey-do list. She's willing to give him room to work, as long as he doesn't forget who his supposed girlfriend is!
It's not long before trouble shows up, and of course, Riley somehow ends up right in the middle of the chaos. It's not her fault she's a lightning rod for mayhem.
This series is a hoot. You never know what the seniors are going to get up to, and even when Riley tries to stay under the radar, she gets pulled into trouble.
I definitely want to see much more of this series!

This was so cute but took me a bit to get into as I haven’t read the first two books, however it didn’t take long! I loved how fun this was and the first books are on my TBR ready to read! Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for letting me read an EARC of the book!

There’s just something about Riley and Nick that keep me crawling back, begging for more.

This read was not what I would’ve expected at ALL. The more and more I read Lucy Score the more she continues to exceed what I’ve come to love and expect from her.

Witty as can be, laugh out loud funny and quirky - I had some serious concerns on this one that we were going to get deep into a miscommunication trope (which I thoroughly dislike) BUT this little blip was cleared up and my anxiety was reduced to a minimum.

Every turn in this book was unexpected - as book three wraps up, I am still engaged, excited, and curious about what could come next.

I hope we see a whole lot more of this possum in book #4.

It's a part of a series. It's 3rd book in Riley and Nick's story. I haven't read the first two, but this one is funny and interesting. They are lovely and very cute together. Solving cases seems like fun. Riley's psychic powers and Nick's detective skills are well played. I laughed out loud many times. Other characters are eccentric and entertaining, too. Would love to read the first two. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the eARC..

This was a cute story; a comedic mystery; which is something I have never read before. It is the third in the series. I wish I had started with book one. Lucy Score does explain each of the characters and their "relationship" to each other, but it felt like the story picked up in the middle and it took me a while to get into it.
Fun book!

A Blast From The Past was a great next installment. After the little cliffhanger of the previous book I knew I had to dive into this one ASAP. Lucy has such a way of bringing a story together with amazing humor.

I can't get over how Riley ends up in the craziest predicaments. I really loved seeing Riley embrace her powers in this one and tackle things head on when normally she's a little hesitant.

I wanted to shake Nick in the beginning of the book until he got his wake up call. I just love him and Riley together. I couldn't stop laughing during the Halloween Surprise party lol!

Can't wait for the 4th installment.

Book three in the Riley thorn series! I’d definitely say read books 1 and 2 before diving into this one. This is absolutely Lucy Scores best kept series. We’re back with Riley and Nick. Their relationship is growing, changing and this time Nick wants to go back to an unsolved case. The side characters are still top tier, hilarious banter, and a mystery. I love the little cozy witchy aspects of this series. If this is your first Lucy Score series, you won’t be disappointed.

This is one of my favorite series and I can't tell you how happy I am that we will be getting more Riley and Nick!

I love that in the first chapter, we get to see Riley in the middle of some dangerous situation with little to no context, then backtracking to see how she ended up in her current situation. As always this series delivers a wacky cast of characters, an adorable dog, a case that will have you scratching your head and have you laughing out loud constantly.

Riley and Nick currently have quite a bit going on. They just moved into a new home that is a serious fixer-upper, and Nick has buried himself in a cold case leaving his business and Riley left to their own devices. Thankfully we get some light shed on the cold case pretty quickly into the story but really all that did was open a new can of worms and so many more questions than answers.

Blast from the Past is a fast, fun, and laugh-out-loud book that had me hooked from the first page to the last. I can't wait to see what shenanigans Riley and Nick.. along with Miss Penny and Burt of course are going to get into next!!

The Blast from the Past is the third installment in the Riley Thorn series. It is an enjoyable blend of romance, mystery, and humor. Nick Santiago is running his own PI business with the help of his girlfriend Riley. However, the surprise appearance of a long-lost person has Riley pushing her newly honed psychic abilities to the max. Now Riley fears she has killed her powers, and she is struggling to help Nick with the case which has totally consumed him. But never fear, the octogenarians from next door are ready to help.

Thanks to NetGalley and Bloom Books for an ARC. The opinions expressed are my own.
