Major editing needed. Cute Hallmark movie type book, perfect for a cozy read over the holidays. Unfortunately, major things like the special gift that was given were inconsistent in the story.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC for an honest review.

I really loved this story about Melody Monroe who was raising her twins Tate and Finn. They had lost their father when they were 4 and now they are 10. She was all about her children. Especially Christmas and all their traditions plus she was all about family. The town's Yuletide Christmas days weren't going to happen because the committee has disbanded. Melody decided she would take it over and she did. She and her committee worked hard to make everything happen but things kept getting in the way.The principal, Jonathan and Melody became friends. Soon it became more and rumors were spreading around town. You'll need to read about all the things that happens and now it turns out. A VERY GOOD READ.

Wow I want to celebrate Christmas already after reading this book. Why is it only June. I loved the story and the characters it had me from page 4.

This book was a sweet, heartwarming holiday romance. It read and felt exactly like a Hallmark movie, which is honestly exactly how I want my holiday romances to read. I loved the dynamic of Melodyβs family, it was really endearing watching her strive to keep her kids happy while also giving herself another chance at happiness. I enjoyed this one, I will definitely read more by Eliza Evans! Thank you to NetGalley and the author for the chance to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

3.5 Stars- Just a super solid, really cute holiday romance.
Thank you to NetGalley and Eliza Evans for the advance digital copy of The Christmas Cookie Wars. This book was really just a heartwarming story. Two single parents find themselves trying to save their little town's holiday traditions and fall in love along the way. The book dealt with grief with the passing of a parent/partner. I'm no expert on grief therapy but I felt like the book handled it extremely well.
This book just gave me all of the cozy, pine tree scented, steaming hot chocolate, sugary cookie vibes and I was here for it!

If you want a good cozy Hallmark's Christmas movie with a mix of Food Network Baking show this book is highly recommended for you. The Christmas Cookie War was definitely a palate cleanser for me. It embodies everything a parent would do for their children to be able to have a good Christmas no matter the cost.
Melody Monroe is trying to save Christmas for her twin 9 year old sons, even if it means waging a Christmas Cookie war with her children's principal.

Thank you, Netgalley, and Penguin Group for the (eArc)-eBook for my honest review.

BRB making Christmas sweets in the middle of summer. This book made me feel the Christmas spirit and wish it was the holidays! If you are a fan of Hallmark movies then this is the book for you. These are my favorite types of books. And while some may think it's predictable I like to call these books "what we as a reader are promised" in terms of the plot and HEA. Overall a really sweet enjoyable read. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for a digital copy of this book in exchange for a honest review.

The Christmas Cookie Wars was such a great read! I really love the spirit of Christmas in general, and while I would have loved to read this around the holidays, I loved that I got the chance to read this as an ARC. The characters were lovable and I felt as if I was dropped in the middle of a Hallmark Christmas movie. The FMC was very down on herself, and it was great to see the determination and growth she had. Her twin boys were absolutely precious, and the MMC was super sweet too. I enjoyed the no pressure light romance of the novel. While the spice level is low, the chemistry is there in a sweet way! If youβre looking for a lighthearted Christmasy type novel, you need to add this one to your TBR list. Christmas in July, or actual Christmas season, you need to read this one! Eliza Evans, I canβt wait to read the Christmas Cafe!

This was a cute little story with a lot of heart, it gave hallmark christmas movie with the tropes and it was everything I needed!

Christmas is a time when parents strive to create magic for their children, concealing the truth about Santa Claus to maintain the enchantment of the season. The fear of being branded a liar looms large, but for one parent, the revelation unfolds in a heartwarming manner as their children understand the effort put into crafting the holiday magic.
In "The Christmas Cookie Wars," Melody and her twin boys navigate the challenges of life following the loss of their husband and father. Grief casts a shadow, particularly poignant during the holidays, a sentiment expertly articulated by Eliza Evans in the narrative. When Melody learns of the cancellation of Cookie Daze, a beloved event, she resolves to save the day, even if it means butting heads with the grumpy principal. Through this festive tale, readers witness Melody's resilience and determination to preserve the holiday spirit, with unexpected warmth hidden beneath the principal's stern facade.
This heartwarming novel captures the essence of parental sacrifice and the enduring magic of Christmas, offering a delightful read that rekindles the festive spirit, even for the adults orchestrating the magic behind the scenes.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!

This was FUN. This was SILLY. This book was full of HEART and WARMTH and CHRISTMAS SPIRIT. What more could you possibly want?
My only issue with it was that it ended too soon but thatβs just me being selfish.

I received this book as an ARC from Penguin Group Putnam on Netgalley.
This is the perfect fit if you are looking for a Hallmark movie in a book. It is sweet and clean with little to no spice in this book. The main characters quickly transition from enemies to more than friends. The holiday aspects are delightful, making it a perfect read during the holiday season. It is predictable, and the dialogue is cheesy, but overall, it is a quick and fun read.

Thanks to Netgalley & PENGUIN GROUP- Putnam for the E-ARC! I enjoyed this. Liked the characters & the banter so much. Definitely will read more from this author.

A cute, cookie-filled romance filled with all sugar and no spice, but everything nice. I loved the way the relationship and dynamics between Jonanthan and Melody evolved. Melody's heartwarming traditions remind me of some of my own and have me excited for the holiday season, even though it's still months away. A great holiday read for people of all ages.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Putnam for the ARC.

This was a cute romance book. A bit formula, but at it's heart a sweet story with a Christmas background. 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4.

Thank you Putnam books and Netgalley for the ARC of this book in return for my honest review. It was an easy-to-read, feel-good Christmas themed rom-com. I was rooting for Melody and Jonathan the whole time and loved the ending. I'm a sucker for "love the second time around" books. This would make a fun bookclub read over the holidays.

This book felt like a Hallmark Christmas movie, which I absolutely adore. While reading you will find yourself rooting for Melody. Sometimes while reading you just need a sweet, clean romance and this book was definitely that. The cover is adorable and draws your eyes immediately. Definitely will read again during Christmas time.
Thank you netgalley and publisher for allowing me the opportunity to advance read!

I hope Iβm not the only one, but I was expecting a little spiceβ¦ but I do understand itβs supposed to be a heartfelt hallmark like Christmas storyβ¦
I do love this, quick read!
If I had the chance, Iβd definitely do what she did.!

I absolutely loved her Christmas book from last year, so I was super excited for this one. I loved the growth into love for them and how their children supported this. The characters made this book for me. My main or only biggest issue is I didnβt like how the slight tiny mysteries/mischief was wrapped up.

This sweet Hallmark-esk romcom was delightful. Melody, a widow and mom of twin 10 year olds, does not take the news of her favorite holiday traditions, Cookie Daze, being canceled well. She promptly signs up to take on the task when Mr. Braxton informs her of the development. On the cookie committee, sparks fly as a new romance starts to come together. I really enjoyed having this couple be in their late thirties. It felt relatable to me in so many ways. I also love a baking themed book. The scenes of Melody and her boys baking together were my favorite as itβs my favorite holiday tradition with my kiddos. πͺ
Thank you NetGalley, Eliza Evans, and Penguin Group Putnam for the eARC.
