Wow! Another fantastic read by Keri Beevis! This one had me hooked from the very beginning and just didn’t let go. The characters were rich and well developed. Beevis blends the new bride fantasy with a much darker reality. Don’t miss this cracker of a book.
Thank you NetGalley, Keri Beevis and Boldwood Books for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Callie thought she had met prince charming when she meets Duncan Stone. Callie cannot believe that he is interested in her so when they start dating she is over the moon but it quickly morphs into a nightmare when he is controlling, abusive and isolates her from friends and family. When she runs into a old friend Laurel they make a plan to help her escape. I have read some amazing thrillers this year and this is one of them. I read it in one sitting because I was so desperate to find out how things would end for Callie and I was praying for her safety. The characters are portrayed to play there parts beautifully and some I loved and others I despised. The dogs are a gorgeous addition and made me smile. There was one twist in the story where my jaw hit the floor because it was so unexpected. The domestic violence will be hard for some to read but I found it to be eye opening and honest. I appreciate that the author has been so open about it in the story and I now know some signs to look out for. This is a edge of your seat read so buckle up and enjoy the ride!

When he said you were his forever...he meant it...

This was such a powerful read and yet it is a tough one also. I found it incredibly difficult and uncomfortable at times, given the subject matter. Although I have ready many thrillers centred around coercive control and abuse, lately I just don't seem to have the stomach for them. Parts of it were a little too close to home for me, not in recent times but still too reminiscent of my own experience. There are times where my skin crawled as I'm sure many readers' found also.

This is a very well written book despite me being unable to finish it (due to its subject matter being too uncomfortable for me at this time) with a character that we all love to hate. Duncan is one of the most despicable characters I have ever read and I simply could not stomach him a moment longer so I had to unfortunately shelve this powerful but ultimately tough read. He is charming and handsome and one of the country's most eligible bachelors. Until he sets his sights on Callie Parker who thought she was the luckiest woman on earth to have caught his attention. How wrong she was. Moving in with him turned out to be the biggest mistake of her life as the kind and loving man she thought she knew disappeared and a manipulative and controlling one took his place. And that's when she knew she needed to escape him. But could she really? What if he found her?

This is a fast paced read that unfolds through the alternating narratives of NOW and THEN. I wish I could have read to the end but I had to escape. Still, this is an immersive and addictive read that is well worth checking out if you can move past the discomfort.

I'm still giving it 4 stars because it is well written and addictive. I just couldn't remain in Duncan's presence or the aftermath a moment longer.

I would like to thank #KeriBeevis, #Netgalley and #BoldwoodBooks for an ARC of #NowhereToHide in exchange for an honest review.

This is a story about possession and having someone in your life who is not happy unless they are in complete control of your life. This is a story of passion, of the cruelty of possession and control and of so called love!

I could not put this book down as it was such a gripping and compelling read. I love the way the story told such a hard story in a way that I could easily understand what was going on. This is a book with 'Nowhere to Hide', it is fast paced, thrilling and at times scary to think what one person can do and how they can control so easily.

Such a well written book, great characters and a story that gets the heart pounding for sure. Loved it. 4 1/2 stars for me.

Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

This has got to be one of my favourite books by Keri.
It's a very twisted tale indeed with some fantastic heart stopping moments.
If your favourite celebrity love crush asks you out on a date, would you except? A no brainer for most people, myself included!
This is what happens to Callie after the famous actor Duncan takes a shine to her.
After just a few months together Duncan asks Callie to move in with him and she accepts.
But things aren't always what them seem with Duncan and he starts to show his true colours.
This is a book that will shock you to the core.
Keri has written the characters brilliantly and I can't tell you how much I was shouting and using profanity with regards to Duncan.
I'll let you know that no animals were harmed in the book!

What can I say about this book that will give it the praise that it deserves. I honestly couldn’t get enough of this book and I devoured it in one sitting. I’m not going to say what the book is about as it’s all described in the book description but I will say that for me it was one of the best books I’ve read so far this year . It really is a tough read at times there’s no denying that and there were parts that had me feeling quite anxious and had my skin crawling. This to me is the sign of a really well written book when it affects you like that. I will mention one of the main characters Duncan Stone who is truly one of the most despicable characters I’ve ever come across in any book I’ve read. The author has written all these characters so well and you will find out more about them as you read this book. I do love a good domestic thriller and this one certainly was more than good. One of my favourite books of this genre is The Last Thing to Burn by Will Dean and now I will say that this one is on a par with that and one I certainly won’t be forgetting in a hurry. If I could give it more than 5⭐️ I would.

When he said you was his forever he meant it.

Callie wants to be loved and can’t believe her luck when Duncan Stone shows an interest in her. After a whirlwind romance things start to take a sinister turn when Duncan isolates her from her friends and family to keep her for himself. Desperate to escape and with the help of an old friend Callie flees but she is forever watching over her shoulder as Duncan will never let her go.

What a mix this book is, I loved it,read it in no time and I’ve not hated a character as much as I did Duncan in a long time. I feared for Callie at several points throughout the book and I could feel my anger rising towards him. Thanks to @netgalley for the opportunity to read this book and it’s one I would highly recommend.

This was a scary tale from inside an abusive relationship. Written well & handled with care.
It goes to show what you see isn’t always what is going on.
Having to hide away to make sure they keep safe & try to get a new life where every corner isn’t terrifying.
Excellent story and read in a couple of days as needed to know what was going to happen.

I’ve read a few of Beevis’ books and have loved everyone of them!

This book of hers had the same element of thrill but with the lack of the normal twist. This book was more of a domestic thriller than her others. Being that it wasn’t twisty, it was still such a wild ride!

This book had so much emotion thrown into it as well. The scenes with Duncan and Callie were hard to read at some points, but created an almost visceral reaction. This just shows the level of brilliance in her writing in my eyes!

Like I said, I usually enjoy her twisty thrillers, but this. Was. A. Good one!

This was my first book by the author and overall I enjoyed it. The main plot line follows a woman escaping an extremely abusive relationship. It takes a look at trauma bonding which is when a person is with an abusive partner and that partner has broken down their sense of self worth to the point that they feel like their abuser is the only person who will be there for them and thus it’s way harder to leave. (Sorry I had to explain trauma bonding because I see it misused constantly) I liked that aspect of the book, I think it’s an important topic. My main “issue” with this book is that it felt surface level to me. I felt I was getting all the information for the story but wasn’t connected deeper to it, if that makes sense. I could’ve used more backstory anecdotes, some more build up, etc to feel connected to the characters. It was a good thriller, but not incredible. I will try another book by this author.

Keri Beevis did it again !!!!!
Holy F !!!!!! 😳😳😳
I found this author last year and I'm now obsessed with her books!!! I just love them too much because she writes the kind of thrillers I love.

This one is really really good and kept me on edge every second!!! I was loving it so much that I was getting mad every time I was interrupted haha. I was annoyed at the world for making noise hahaha.

Do I recommend it? Hell yeah!!!
But be aware it's violent, it's dark. The domestic abuse it's violent and descriptive. At times I was just wishing to get inside the book and throw punches 👊🏻 I swear of God it's intense.

Thank you netgalley, Boldwood Books and Keri Beevis for my arc !!!!!

There are some absolutely horrific monsters in this world who can be quite deceptive and misleading to most of those around them, and we get to meet some of those characters in Nowhere to Hide.

Whoa! So this is one of those books where I absolutely loved it in some parts, and in other parts, it was a bit over-the-top. Duncan Stone is a handsome celebrity and so romantic in his early dating days, yet we learn his true nature and personality as time goes on. When the story starts, main character, Callie, is trying to escape from something or someone, but we're not sure what. The storyline goes back and forth between "Now" and "Before" as new details are revealed about what is going on. I truly adored the "Now" scenes and the interactions between the different characters. Some of the "Before" situations were tough to read and at times, I found the scenarios incredulous and gut-wrenching. However, it kept me on my toes and turning the pages. My mouth was hanging open as I wondered what was going to happen next. What an intense ending! Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the digital ARC.

Another brilliant book from Keri Beevis.
The story centres around an abusive relationship and may be a trigger for some people.
When Callie meets Duncan she feels an immediate attraction and is so happy when he takes her out.
Things start off well but when she moves in with him, she starts to see a different side to him.
The first time he hits her, he’s apologetic but when it starts to happen more and more, she realises he enjoys hurting her.
Callie eventually escapes and a friend of a friend lets her stay at his remote farm in Norfolk.
Nico knows Callie has been hurt physically and mentally and gives her the space she needs, but he is also there if she needs him.
I won’t say too much more as it will spoil it, but I will say there’s some great twists and some nail biting moments as the book progresses.
This is a great psychological thriller that I’d highly recommend.
Thanks to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

Having the ability to hide one’s true self from others is a skill. Callie found out quickly with Duncan. He was a movie star on the outside and a cruel abuser on the inside. This story was about recovery from domestic violence. I felt the horror that must have been so awful from the words written on the page. This author has a way of delivering gut-wrenching emotions at the beginning and throughout the book and delivering the best feeling at the end. I enjoyed how the author had two characters with tragic childhoods, brought themselves up and yet were two very different human beings. This author is one of the best psychological thriller writers of all.

I see "Keri Beevis" and I'm immediately sold 🫣

this one had too many flashbacks for my taste, kind of 50/50 present-past chapters but maybe that's just because I wanted to know what happened next in the present too much 😩

the abuse was really intense and sometimes made me sick to my stomach, and I've read a LOT of abuse stories, fiction and non-fiction. the writing style puts you right in the scene as if you're witnessing everything yourself, so big TW for domestic abuse, beware if that's a sensitive topic for you 💕

I actually gasped at the plot twist(s), I was fooled and gagged 😭 mouth open in shock

overall not the most action packed thriller but well written and with sensible characters (not including the mean ones), which is more than a lot of thrillers rn 🤭

Thanks to #NetGalley and #BoldwoodBooks for the book #NowhereToHide. This book is amazing. Mental and physical abuse is very common these days and this book contains a lot of both. It was hard to read but very well written. I highly recommend this book to everyone, especially the survivors!

This storyline reminded me of the film sleeping with the enemy. Enjoyable but ultimately could have been so much better. Callie is on the run from her boyfriend. He told her if she left he would find her and kill her. She’s tried before and he found her. This time she fakes her own death. The twists and turns are lively. Enjoy, just don’t take it too seriously.
