2,5⭐️ not for me, some interesting aspects that fell a bit flat and wasn’t executed as good as I hoped for.

It took almost half the book to get a bit into it and several thing was not to my liking and the story was as well put together as I hoped. I really struggled with the writing, the characters wasn’t as developed and seem very immature or YA, the plot twists was very easy to guess a mile before revealing the first hints, and the ending was also rushed. The forbidden romance wasn’t like I expected a NA book to be and I can see it have been done in a different was I would like better as it’s usually one of my favourite tropes. I really liked some aspects of the plot and think it had some potential, but it wasn’t that well executed unfortunately.

A compelling and original paranormal romance book, "The Love Cure" delves into themes of love, grief, and the complexity of family legacies. The Love Cure by Dawn Brazil is a suspenseful and exciting book that explores the sinister and perilous world of vampires, curses, and forbidden love. I was engrossed in a narrative of mystery and desire that had me wondering until the thrilling, concluding scene because to The Dawn Brazil's evocative descriptions and complex world-building. All in all, I thought this book was a really interesting and captivating paranormal romance story that made me think about complex love tales and supernatural fiction. The way that Dawn Brazil combines romance, fantasy, and suspenseful themes makes for a compelling read. Dawn Brazil is such an amazing storyteller

Thank you netgalley and steward for the ARC

I was really not a fan of the layout and formatting of this book. I found the spacing between the paragraphs distracting. The content itself was entertaining but the format made it hard for me to read.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing a free copy in exchange for an honest review. Well this book is a mess. I really want to like it but it just feels so disorganised. The FMC makes me want to scream at her. I expected more sadness and grief after her mum and sister died tbh.

Unfortunately, I don't think this book is for me. The premise sounded very intriguing, but it was just really hard to get into. The beginning of the book was confusing to me, it was hard for me to kind of grasp what was going on which did not help, and I did not mesh with the writing style of the author. I think that this book would be good for other readers, it just wasn't something that I was in to.

Unfortunately this book was not for me at all which is a shame because I was looking forward to it.
I think it was a me problem, not a book problem. I just couldn’t get on board with the writing and the characters…
I’m sorry…

Thank you to netgalley and Dawn Brazil for an ARC copy of 'The Love Cure', in exchange for a honest review.

Cherish survives a car crash that kills her last living relative; leaving her to awake in the hospital confused and terrified, with strange memories, physical changes, and a new craving for blood. Her memories tell her that the crash wasn't an accident, and she sets off on her mission for revenge.

I really struggled getting into this book, and the formatting was somewhat weird that it just felt difficult to read as a dyslexic reader due to the large spacing between paragraphs, especially when new paragraphs seemed to be formed on every other line. I also really struggled to vibe with the writing style, and overall, struggled reading this book.
It really feels like a YA vampire romance, even though it's advertised as New Adult. I understand this is because of some lusty thoughts Cherish has, however these just feel awkward and forced that I genuinely think the book would have been better without.
This book includes the age-old classic of friends-to-lovers, a family curse, and mystery.

While I enjoyed the story like of this book, I don’t feel like I felt particularly connected to it. The attitude of the female main character seemed all over the place, and when I felt like I finally understood her, something out of pocket would happen and the reaction would be unwarranted. While I do thing some readers might find this book more enjoyable than I did, it wasn’t my favorite that I’ve read.

“The Love Cure,” by Dawn Brazil

After a car accident kills Cherish’s last living family member she wakes up in the hospital with strange memories and some physical changes, a craving for blood. Her new memories tell her that her family’s deaths weren’t an accident and Cherish is on a mission for revenge. Her best friend and crush, Joshua, is there to help her but them being together could be the end of her life.

I really liked this book. It was predictable in the story plot, but I enjoyed it regardless. I did think it felt a little more YA than new adult but it doesn’t matter to me. The characters were interesting and relatable. I would love to read more books by Dawn Brazil, he writing style was easy to draw me in. 4 out of 5 stars.

I was drawn in by the cover of this book, plot sounded interesting too.

I'm not actually sure how to feel about the book overall, it was a little strange, I feel like with the right editing it could be much better.

I flew through it in two sittings, I found it easy to read and it was a bit predictable. It's a mix between YA and NA, the characters are 18 and some.of the content is adult but the attitudes of the characters are more teen like.

If you like vampires and forbidden love with a mystery. You’ll like this, you should give it a try. I like this synopsis and what the book is about. The plot and concepts all seem so interesting and intriguing. I like how they don’t really transform into vampires until 18. Her figuring the vampirism out was good. It seemed very real typical how someone may react if they found out they were a vampire.

Cherish the MFC is a vampire and has the ability to be in touch (communicate) with her ancestors. I think this is a gift for her family. She is on a journey of figuring out what life as a vampire is like. She has experienced so much loss and is on a mission to get vengeance for them. There is a mysterious formula everyone is looking for.
<spoiler> They are sensitive to holy water which is similar to vervain in TVD too. And have the ability to compel others that touch from possibly TVD is fun. <spoiler>
There are familiars in this story too. Which led me to thinking of the show Sabrina the teenage witch or the recent new remaking Sabrina.
However, the writing and dialogue or speech of the characters didn’t work for me.
I felt some things were rushed. I couldn’t follow everything the time jump didn’t make sense I was confused when it happened.

I think this book would’ve done good as a young adult book. Only because some of the lustful and sexual thoughts the main character was having seemed weird, inappropriate, and forced. I understand her hormones and the way she is thinking and responding to people everything is changing now that she is manifesting as a vampire.
Thank you Dawn Brazil for this book. Thank you netgalley for this ebook arc.

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC of The Love Cure by Down Brazil.

Unfortunately this book was not for me, I think the concept of the book sounded really good but I just felt like the story wasn’t executed well enough.
The writing style was quite difficult to read at first and it took me quite some time to understand what was really going on in the story.
I also didn’t really connect with the characters and I didn’t understand why they all were so chill about finding out the FMC was a vampire, just didn’t make sense to me at all.

If the story sounds interesting to you I still think you should give it a go since we all have different reading preferences,

This book is a well written good book. Sadly, this book is too YA for me but is a good book. I would recommend this book someone looking for more of a YA book.

I did enjoy the concept of a paranormal vampire new adult book however, I struggled with the writing style and how it was set out like a script. the extended format gaps made it difficult to read and sometimes I'd end up so lost. the characters are very diverse, but it gave me young adult vibes from how they were.

Read this in one sitting! Such a fun and easy read that kept me on my toes and I refused to put it down. A great paranormal romance with a bit of a mystery, friends to lovers, forbidden romance, and forced proximity!

I could not handle the formatting in this book, there are extended gaps between paragraphs that make this really difficult to read.

I found these characters are better described as YA rather than NA with their maturity levels and how they handled situations. It feels like the NA description was given to explain the very off putting romance aspect of this book.

I don’t think I can summarize the plot in a way that would make sense because I’m a little lost.
