Thank you, Netgalley, and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book takes place in the Hamptons, so you know wealth will be involved! The story is about Alex, who is searching for her missing sister who disappeared for no apparent reason.

This book takes place primarily at the home of the Blackwell's who are quite wealthy and powerful within the community, so you already know there's going to be something shady going down. This was also the last known place where Alex's sister, Maddie, was last seen.

While this is a psychological thriller, this didn't appear to be your normal brainwashing or mind-games type of story. This was more about everyone hiding secrets and trying to figure out who's the true villan.

This story is mostly told from Alex's POV, but will eventually be told from the POV of all involved. While I find this confusing, it actually helped this storyline and also kept me on the edge of my seat because when I thought one character might be darker than another, the POV from the next character really kept me intrigued. The story was slow for me in the beginning, but once I hit about 20%...I had to finish the book in one night! I will say I had 3 gasps throughout the entire book! Quick read, easy to follow, great story with a non-predictable ending.

This is the first book I've read from this author, and she set the bar high! I've ordered a new book of hers and I'm sure it'll be just as good as this one.

⭐️⭐️💫

Alex’s sister is missing and her last known whereabouts is a pool house in one of the mansions in the Hamptons. Desperate to find her sister, Alex comes to
the Hamptons and encounters the rich, powerful, and corrupt. Overall, it was just okay. I didn’t like it, but I didn’t hate it.

LOVED The Perfect Sister!! Read this mystery in record time because I couldn't wait to find out how it all would resolve!! Maddie is missing, and her sister, Alex, goes searching for her in upscale Hamptons. Her search takes her to the outlandish Blackwell estate, where she gets to know the wealthy Blackwells, and the some pretty shady places in the community, as well, where she gathers clues about Maddie's history and possible whereabouts. This story is fairly compelling, and then it absolutely catapults in the last few chapters with lots of "I didn't see that coming!" moments. I loved the ending. Highly recommend!

Thanks to NetGalley for allowing me to read and review The Perfect Sister.

I just finished The Perfect Sister and I’m still processing what I read. What a great book. Does this count as a psychological thriller since it took me on a mystery ride that I could not figure out? The story of two sisters and a past that threatens their relationship and a secret no one sees coming. I started and didn’t stop reading until I was actually finished. Literally. Stephanie DeCarolis has written an amazing book that will keep you turning the pages until the end. Thank you to the publisher for the opportunity to read The Perfect Sister. This is my own opinion/reaction to the book. #netgalley #theperfectsister #stephaniedecarolis

I was mostly interested in the storyline of Alex's missing sister, until the book started to just feel sleazy. Rich people doing dumb things, making bad choices. I had to skim the last 25% of the book just to find out what happened to Maddie. Wouldn't recommend.

I found this book to be a fast read and thoroughly enjoyed it. Both the characters are super likeable, and their relationship seems very genuine and believable on paper. It's hard to find a good book about sisters and a thriller about sisters can be even harder to find. This one hit the mark and I'm glad I was able to read an advanced copy. Thanks, Netgalley.

Wow! This book will hook you. From the very beginning you can sense that something is off about the Blackwells. As a rich family in the Hamptons, you already know they have privileges but how far will they go to protect secrets with that privilege? When Alex goes on a search for her missing sister and stays with the Blackwells, you think you will know what is going to happen. But nope! This book was filled with twists and captivated me from the start.

My only critique is why was Alex so dumb, staying with a random family in the Hamptons that gave off vibes. It's giving the stupid people in horror movies lol.

Definitely pick this one up! Thank you to Novel Suspects for this eARC!

This is a great thriller about two sisters, Alex and Maddie who were close when they were younger and never missed the other's birthday. So when Maddie forgets one year, Alex sets out to find her as she's moved to the Hamptons and works at The Lobster Shack. But she's missed work there as well and Alex is determined to find out where she is and why she hasn't been in touch. Then she discovers Blackwell Manor where Maddie lived in the pool house and where she discovers Maddie's phone. But the family--mom, dad, son Theo, and daughter Lily have no idea where she is or what happened to her so Alex is even more anxious to figure out the circumstances of Maddie's sudden disappearance Alternating in time and characters' perspectives, the novel paints an often-gruesome picture of wealth and its deadly consequences when attempting to keep secrets hidden.

I just finished reading The Perfect Sister by Stephanie DeCarolis, and I must say it was an amazing thriller! The book revolves around Alex, who becomes concerned when her sister Maddie cancels her visit and goes radio silent. Alex decides to go to the Hamptons, where Maddie was last seen, and from that point on, the story had me completely hooked!

I loved the fact that the novel played out like a movie in my head. The alternating chapters from different characters' perspectives worked so well with the storyline! Every time I thought I had solved the mystery, there was another twist that changed my mind - and I absolutely loved that! The Perfect Sister is a 5-star read, and I cannot wait to read more from Stephanie DeCarolis in the future.

Alex's sister, Maddie, goes missing while working/living in The Hamptons, Alex goes at the house where her sister was last seen and ends up staying there herself while she searches for her sister. Continuing the search for her sister, Alex, sees how the wealthy rice live from screwed up brothers/sisters to sexual endeavors to unhappy wife, love affairs. The story is told from different POV's with so many characters acting suspicious it felt like they had a dark side with something to hide.

I love this book so much?! The plot was amazing and i like how the author build up the intensity and drops the plot twist in the end. The book cover was okay, can work on it more but other than that, a great book!

Thank you netgalley for the arc !

4.5 stars. A really good mystery with many good backstories of how the mystery has unfolded. The characters were interesting and made it enjoyable to read. With the many options of how and who could have done it, it was a satisfying conclusion which is hard to come by these days. I would choose this for a beach read or for a good mystery book.

This book was a wild ride from the beginning! Alex was set on finding her sister Maddie. Where was she? And what did the Blackwells have to do with her disappearance?

So many secrets! Everyone had a secret and they were revealed one by one. I love a twisty thriller!

I enjoyed the ending, as I was not expecting that! A great thriller!

Maddie is the perfect older sister who Alex has always looked up to but can never measure up to. Then, when Maddie disappears, Alex drops everything to search for her - and finds out there are so many things she never knew - and it’s a dangerous path she is on to find her sister. I really enjoyed this book - it’s told from different perspectives - which I liked in some ways but at the same time, I felt that I couldn’t completely identify with any one character enough. Good story, though - well written and engaging.

Alex has always looked up to her older sister, who moved away. The Hamptons is the perfect backdrop for this fast-paced thriller. Maddie is supposed to come home but never shows up. Alex travels to The Hamptons and visits the family that she was staying with. The family scores a 10 on the scale of creepiness. It is the perfect Summer read.

Thanks to NetGalley and Bantam Books for a real page-turning thriller! I loved reading this one.
Set in the Hamptons among the super rich Alex Walker comes looking for her sister Maddie who has disappeared. No one but Alex seemed particularly concerned about this which was a little scary. The plot was a wild ride with lots of twists and a most satisfying ending.
Told from multiple points of view, the reader learns more and more of Alex and Maddie's relationship and what happened to Maddie when she met the Blackwell family.
The Blackwell family totally had the thriller creepy vibe. What imaginative and odd characters - unique and quirky.
The story was one I read quickly - powering to get to the finish. I thought it was well written.
I enjoyed the setting very much - great beach read!

“The Perfect Sister” by Stephanie DeCarolis was quite an adventure. The story is about two sisters Alex and Maddie and the dynamics of their relationship and how it changes as they grow older. Maddie the older sister goes missing one summer in the Hamptons and Alex sets off to find her sister. The Hamptons are a very different world compared to where the girls grew up and Alex still lives. As the story unfolds Alex stumbles upon the Blackwell Manor which is where here sister had stayed before her disappearance. The author does a great job in developing Alex, Maddie, and the Blackwell family. She provides a detailed point of view from each which draws you in. This was a page turner with many twist that you don’t anticipate. I’ve never read this author before but will definitely check out her other books. Thank you to NetGalley and Bantam for the advance copy.

This story centers around 2 sisters, Alex and Maddie. Maddie was always the perfect older sister and Alex grew up idolizing her. They had a tumultuous upbringing with family problems but the sisters stayed close until their mom’s funeral when Maddie disappears. Alex follows her to The Hampton and meets the family she has been staying with. This mysterious family brings secrets to the surface in Alex’s search for her sister.
This is a good book and kept my attention throughout but there was something about the characters that was just flat. Maybe it’s because the multiple POV’s throughout so I just didn’t feel connected to the protagonist.
Even with this one frustration I really enjoyed this book. Thanks to NetGalley and Random House for this eARC.

This book gives major Revenge vibes! If you liked that show, you’ll enjoy this book.

I loved the multiple pov’s and this book definitely keeps you guessing. This is not a fast-paced, popcorn thriller; the
writing itself is terrific and I think the pacing is just right!

I do not want to give too much away, but I absolutely loved the ending!

As young girls, sisters Alex and Maddie are very close. As they get older and grow apart, they still vow to spend every birthday together, so when Maddie doesn’t show up one year, Alex knows something is terribly wrong. When Alex starts investigating, she tracks Maddie to the Hamptons, but why? Maddie is just a girl from a poor family so what is she doing amongst the wealthy? Things are definitely not as they appear.

There are so many characters and so much going back and forth in time, this book missed the mark for me. I struggled to keep tabs on who said what and who did what. The ending was also a dud for me.

Thank you, NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group for the ARC.
