Thank you for the chance to experience this remarkable book on time management. While I couldn't finish it before it was archived, I'm eager to purchase the audio version on Audible soon. The tips I gathered, particularly the idea of managing time in 15-minute increments, had an immediate impact on my productivity. I can't wait to delve further into the book and implement more strategies to enhance my efficiency throughout the day.

What I like about this book is that it is short and to the point! I like that each chapter breaks down how long the listening time will be. This book is best suited for ppl who are ready to embark on a well of organization, prioritizing. setting goals and actively working to get them done. Timeboxing is a great tool to help you balance life and gets tasks done through actively setting blocks of time to work on specific goals. The great thing about this book is that you can take it anywhere and learn these tools. I did find that this book does seem to have a google biases, but there are lots of tools that can be utilized for timeboxing other than google which the book does cover. The book focuses primarily on timeboxing utilizing online tools, but timeboxing can also be done offline which the book does cover but does not recommend. This is a very useful book and I would recommend it.

Special thanks to the publisher for a free, electronic advanced copy of this novel received in exchange for an honest review.

Timeboxing talked about breaking down larger tasks into smaller increments and possibly scheduling them (into 15 minute increments). Overall, the book was well written and I did enjoy listening to it. I’m looking forward to applying these skills to projects and daily tasks.

Timeboxing by Marc Zao-Sanders is a comprehensive guide to carefully and intentionally selecting what to do, specifying start and finish times, focusing solely on that single activity, and getting it done to an acceptable standard within that timeframe.

Thank you St. Martin’s Press, Macmillan Audio & Netgalley for sending me review copies of this book to read! I was reading this book and I thought it was interesting but I don’t feel like I got anything out of it. The author mentioned using a Google calendar and then choosing start and finish times and then focusing on that activity until it’s finished. I use a Google calendar to keep track of appointments but I’ve never used it to plan my day or my week. However, I could use my Google calendar to track when I take my dog for walks since I’ve been taking my dog for walks to the dog park in the neighborhood every day. I have a certain time I like to go and I try to go at the same time every day. When I get to the dog park, I stay there for a while and then I head back home after that.

4 ⭐️ Everything about this book is set up to both target and benefit those who are busy, seeking efficiency, and tend towards the “perfectionist” lifestyle. I greatly appreciated the author’s bluntly honest candor and “waste no time” attitude. He certainly understands and targets the intended audience for this book well.

I initially found myself immediately skeptical; I already maintain a thorough and organized calendar, why should I change what has worked for me for years? Marc Zao-Sanders seemed to read my thoughts, recognize my concerns, and address them by beginning this book by essentially selling the reader on the timeboxing approach by focusing on the “why” behind this method and discussing what’s to be gained. I thought he did an excellent job with the pacing of the book, by beginning with the “why,” then moving into the actual implementation, and proceeding to discuss additional ways to generally improve one’s life that accompany the timeboxing method.

I highly recommend the audiobook version; I’m not sure I would’ve taken the time to physically read this book (after all, it’s a book about time management, suggesting many of the readers are busy!). The author begins every chapter with key words, how many minutes the chapter takes to listen to, and ends with key takeaways. If you are someone who is always looking for ways to be more efficient or learn what works for others, this is a short and compelling listen.

Huge thank you to NetGalley, Marc Zao-Sanders, and Macmillan Audio for the free audio-ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

I wish that I’d had more time to listen to this audiobook so I could fully immerse myself in this book and take one chapter per day as suggested by the author, but even having listened over a few days, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I love the format, taking things slow and really building the skill of time blocking over time. Each topic was clearly explained and I enjoyed taking the time to sit down and write as I listened along and practice as I went. I felt like all of my questions and concerns about time blocking were answered (often soon after they came to mind) and the examples were helpful for developing and adjusting how I block out my time each week.

The quality of the audiobook is great, I was able to get up to 1.75x speed and listen comfortably (note that I did still pause to do each exercise). My only critique of the audiobook format itself is that the narrator was a bit flat, so when listening for long periods of time, I found myself drifting away from the book and needing to go back to reread.
