This was the first book I've read by Pamela Kelley. It was an easy read that I could not put down. Finished it in two days. I really was like watching the perfect Hallmark movie. It made you feel like you were there in the story. I really could feel Riley’s sadness and regret when she went back to Manhattan. It was so sweet when she went back home to Chatham. Will be reading more of her books. Can't wait to read more by Pamela Kelley.

The Christmas Inn by Pamela Kelley was a nice read. There was great food, company, love interests and family. The novel was a wonderful read that only needs a cup of tea to make it better. It doesn’t hurt that the characters drank a lot of cinnamon tea in the novel. The inn is located on the Cape and is more of a bed and breakfast.
Riley just found out that she is out of a job. She also just found out her mother had broken her leg. Riley took this as an opportunity as a chance to go home, help her mom out and figure out her next step. As marketing is Riley’s gig, she offers some great new suggestions to help her mom’s place grow. While there, she had the opportunity to see her sister, nieces and people from the past. The long term renters become a big part of the story as do various characters from the past. Riley continues to look for jobs in Manhattan, but you can feel her hesitation about returning.
With the holiday season, Christmas trees, holiday festivities, and a number of things happen to create the warm family novel that Pamela Kelly is known for. Riley’s reluctance to stay while wanting to go back to her life makes the novel more interesting. I loved the story and wished I had read it during the Christmas season. The Christmas Inn by Pamela Kelley was a good read! Don’t forget the cup of tea!

This was a great book. Pamela Kelley is one of my favorite authors and this one didn't disappoint. It's one that I could sit down and read and not put down. I tend to listen to audio books and this was one I could sit down and focus on. I haven't found one of Pamela Kelley's books I haven't liked and keep waiting for more. It's a good reminder that sometimes things happen for a reason and you have to find the good in those situations.

I enjoy Pamela Kelley’s easy comfort read writing style. I like her beach reads that are usually set on Cape Cod. Her characters are likable and dealing with life issues and one or more will get a romance. There will also be yummy food and wine pairings. This is all true for this holiday themed story.
Riley Sanders loses her job a couple of weeks before Christmas. When she learns her mother has broken her leg she packs her bags and heads to help her at the Cape Cod Inn mom owns. There are a couple of main storylines in this book involving people at the inn. Franny is spending a month there as she settles the affairs of her recently deceased sister. The sister leaves her four letters that bring back happy memories of growing up and living on the Cape. Aidan, who was Riley’s high school boyfriend, is living at the inn with his son while repairs are made on his home. It is a time for reconnection. And Riley’s mom also gets a little romance as well.
The story is likable with no villains. It is more saccharine sweet than other books I’ve read from the author. Maybe that is because it is a Christmas story. Riley has a boyfriend in NYC for most of the book. He even visits the Cape. I like Riley, but I would have liked the boyfriend relationship to be resolved so I could invest myself in a potential relationship with Aiden.
The story is heartwarming and Kelley’s fans won’t be disappointed. I wanted a little more conflict or less predictability. I liked the story but have enjoyed other books from the author more. If you want a low angst, holiday, feel-good read this works. (3.5 Stars)

I love the fact that Pamela Kelley’s books are so comforting to me. No mattercwhatbis going on in my life when I pick up a Kelley book I am immediately transported to a cozy little town where everything is within walking distance, where everyone finds their perfect mate, and on any given day someone is having friends over for excellent wine and apps. I guarantee you will soon be stalking the shelves for that same wine!
In The Christmas Inn- Riley Sanders loses her job at the perfect time. Her mother fell and broke her leg so Riley offers to come home to Cape Cod to help her mother run her bread and breakfast. Just as Riley is having doubts about her boyfriend in NYC- her high school friend Aiden is staying at the in with his young son. Hmmmm…

Let the holiday reads begin. And this one was straight out of a Hallmark movie. Even referencing the similarities to the locale in the book. I loved the idyllic small town cape cod setting. But then again I'm a sucker for a small town romance in general. As well, I really enjoyed the wide cast of characters and that we essentially get three romances rolled into one. Again along the veins of a Hallmark movie.
That said, I did find the pacing a bit slow. And parts of the story became repetitive ( detailed descriptions of every breakfast morning at the inn), that felt like overkill. I also wasn't as connected or drawn to our MC's love story (it was quite bland). Instead finding myself more invested in Riley's mom and Sean's romance as well as Franny's story. I adored her.
Overall this was a fast read despite the pacing. A perfect cute and cozy Christmas story to start off my holiday reading.

A sweet story of second chances both in romance and in life. Riley's come home to help her mother Beth who is laid up with a broken leg and she turns her eye to updating and marketing the family inn. Aiden who she more or less dumped is now a widower with a 9 year old precocious son named Luke. You know these two are going to circle one another but there's a hitch when there's a possible job back in the city for Riley. This is as trope-y as can be but it's livened by the people staying at the Inn and, well, Cape Cod. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. Good storytelling makes for a good read.

The Christmas Inn by Pamela Kelley
This is a perfect cozy Christmas story where friends find second chances.
This novel has several sweet stories intertwined. It is so well written you will want to sit and have a glass of wine with Riley and Beth.
Riley Sanders loses her job and finds her way back home in a small Cape Cod community among friends and family. Riley’s mom, Beth, broke her leg and is grateful to have Riley home. As they enjoy the holiday season among friends and family, the small community becomes a family and they find second chances at finding happiness and love.
The characters are so relatable and likable you will want to sit with them and join the story! While reading this you can imagine the crackling fire, smiles, snowflakes lighting on your face, and enjoying a warm cup of hot chocolate piled high with mini-marshmallows.
Read this one and enjoy your stay at the Christmas Inn! 4.5/5⭐️s

It’s Christmas already in the book world and this is my first of the year. Pamela’s books always remind me of a Hallmark Christmas movie! I love how some of her characters from her other books are sprinkled in this one too.
Riley has unexpectedly been laid off from her job in Manhattan. Its turns into the ideal timing when her sister calls to tell her their mom fell and broke her leg. Riley knows her sister has her hands full with toddler twins, so she heads home to the Cape to help out. There we meet the guests of the Inn her mother owns including Riley’s high school boyfriend and his 9 year old son. This was a quick read which I really enjoyed on what’s hopefully the last 90° day in Iowa.
Thanks to Pamela Kelley, St. Martin’s Press and NetGalley for this galley.

The Christmas Inn by Pamela M. Kelley is a wonderful holiday read.and a feel good romance book not be missed. Riley loses her job and comes back home to help her family with the inn because her mother has broken her leg and has the time to re-evaluate her job options and her current relationship which her current boyfriend. I like the female characters in this story and their stories which keep you hooked in reading this book. Riley meets up with an old boyfriend and his son and realizes that he offers her the work balance life that she has been looking for and her current boyfriend Jack does not make her a priority in their relationship. Franny is a great character and is a great storyline in this book and the town of Chatham becomes a place they all call home. I will read anything that Pamela M. Kelley writes and this was a pleasure to read. Bravo Pamela 👏📚🙋♀️🇨🇦❤️💐

Settle down in a comfortable chair with a warm blanket and a cup of tea to read The Christmas Inn. It’s the perfect book for a peaceful afternoon, full of characters you’ll fall in love with and a Cape Cod location you won’t want to leave.
Just before Christmas, Riley leaves New York after she’s laid off her marketing job. Her mother has broken her leg and needs help with the inn she owns so Riley is back in her hometown of Chatham. The guests at the inn are charming, especially Franny, an older woman who has also returned home and Aidan, her high school boyfriend, now a widower. Riley applies her marketing skills to bring new business to the inn and is happily settled in when the prospect of a new job in takes her back to the city and the boyfriend she left there. Now she has to decide where her future will be.
The Christmas Inn is a delightful addition to the holiday season. I loved it and have added Pamela Kelley to my list of favorite authors. 5 stars.

I love Christmas romances! This was very Hallmark, which I'm a fan of. I thought this was a great read and a great feel good romance.

I love Pamela M. Kelley's books. They always make you feel warm and cozy. Stephanie Németh-Parker did a great job narrating this book and kept me entertained throughout the book. Her voice was very smooth and made me feel like I was there with the characters. The characters and story are well written and enjoyable. Riley returns home to help her mother at her bed and breakfast while she's recovering from a leg injury. Riley misses her life in Manhattan and her boyfriend at first but then starts getting into a comfortable routine. She starts meeting new friends and getting reacquainted with her old boyfriend and son. This was such a heartwarming story set in a small town that made you feel all warm and cozy while you listen to it. I didn't want to stop listening to this book. I felt like this would be a great Hallmark movie! If you want a feel good book that will put you in the holiday spirit please grab this audiobook. I would highly recommend this book. Grab a cup of cocoa and find a cozy chair to curl up in and ENJOY!!

Every year I like to read at least one Christmas themed book. The Christmas Inn has all the cozy feels of the magical Christmas season. Riley has been laid off and learns her mother broke her leg and could use extra help at the family run inn. With nothing to lose she heads to Cape Cod. Family bonds and old relationships flourish in this magical setting. Read this book for a sweet holiday story. Snowflakes, warm cookies, and romance included <3
Thanks to NetGalley, St. Martin's Griffin, Pamela Kelley for an early copy and a delightful read.

I really enjoyed this Hallmark type Christmas romance. Riley goes to Cape Cod in early December to help her mother run her B&B. Her old high school boyfriend, Aiden, who is now a widower, is there with his 9 year old son, staying while his house is undergoing renovations. It's all very sweet and Christmasy, and exactly the kind of book I want to read to wind down in the evening, or chill out over the weekend.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read and review this novel.

Second Chances....True Love.....Christmas.....A great combination! A fheartwarming, feel good, snuggle up read! I will most definitely be purchasing this book for my collection!

Riley lives in New York and has a job she loves, a successful lawyer boyfriend named Jack-it is everything she has dreamed of. Until she gets laid off right before Christmas. She decides to head back home to Cape Cod to help out her mom who injured her leg at the Inn she owns. There she is also reunited with her ex boyfriend Aidan and his son Luke. She starts to wonder if her life in New York is really all it’s cracked up to be.
I enjoyed this book. I loved that it took place in Cape Cod around Christmas. I also really enjoyed how descriptive the author was about the town-it made me feel like I could see it all.

I love cape cod, I love Christmas, I love cozy holiday novels. This was hallmark-esque. A big city girl comes back home to take care of her mom. Upon returning home she rekindles something with her high school boyfriend who reminds her there’s beauty in slowing down.
