I have read all of the Game Warden Mike Bowditch novels and they just keep getting better and better. I believe this is the best yet.

When MIke hears about an armed man with a lot of cash asking questions about a man and his daughter, living in a tent and building a log cabin for Josie Johnson, he is curious as to who both of the parties are. The man with the cash rented an ATV and never returned with it. The area has been hit with storm after storm and Mike decides to check out the builder and warn him about the man searching for him and at the same time see if the man on the ATV has come to harm.

Josie agrees to fly Mike and his father-in-law in her helicopter to the cabin site. Thus begins a very strange and dangerous story. This is definitely a thriller and I could not put it down. Mike may have met his match in the builder, Mark Redmon, who is not who he claims to be.

Excellent read! If I could give it more than five stars, I would.

I would like to thank Minotaur books and NetGalley for the invite to this early read!.

Holy Cow! Another un-put-down-able Paul Doiron Book, Having read all of the series, I swear these get better with time. I'm not sure Warden Bowditch could find himself in crazier predicaments but it happens every book. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy. Cannot wait to recommend this to customers!
