Thank you Simon and Schuster Canada and NetGalley for my ARC. June lost her first husband Josh a week after they got married. Now years later she swears she saw him alive. June sets out to discover what really happened to her husband and discovers she might not have know him as well as she thought. Told by June and Josh's mother Bev. This vooks has crazy reveals throughout and the ending, didn't see it coming. I highly recommend reading this.

“Till death do us part” follows the lives of two women and how their paths intertwine.

One POV is Junes. June was married to Josh but sadly he passed away. 10 years later she is now engaged to somebody else but her past relationship is still very present in her life.

The other POV is Bev, Josh’s mum. This pov is in an alternate timeline when Josh was a young teen.
Both timeline give us insight into their lives and events leading up to present day whilst trying to solve the mystery surrounding his death.

I went in blind expecting this to be a thriller but I found it more to be a domestic suspense with lots of twists and mystery. I found the characters to be full of depth with lots of internal monologue provided for the reader to understand the motivations behind their actions and decision..

Thank you to Simon & Schuster Canada, Laurie Elizabeth Flynn and Netgalley for the EARC!

A solid four star read until the last quarter, (which I found to be repetitive with a pace that dragged on) and then a nosedive of an ending, which was I really really disliked and found very disappointing, both in terms of Bev's storyline and the reveal around Josh's death.

The main character, Bev, was also so unlikable, vacuous, and such a terrible mother that I found her entire POV difficult to read.

June, on the other hand, had an engaging story to tell and was a well constructed character.

I will not post my review to social media as I cannot recommend this one.

I truly thought I would love this one, but I did not like it at all. It was not engaging or intriguing, it did not keep my interest. The characters were very bland and that epilogue just did not do it.

I was really stressed reading this book. It was engaging and twisty and I thought I would end up liking it more than I did. But I really didn't like the conclusion of Bev and Camille's storyline and I really, really didn't like the epilogue. The author also leaves some unanswered questions.

Honestly, the more I think about the book the more I'm disappointed in it.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Simon & Schuster Canada through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. Thank you, Simon & Schuster Canada.

This was a really fun domestic thriller. Lots of twists, nothing life changing but if you are looking for a compelling easy read then definitely give it a go. Also, really makes me want to go to Napa and drink lots of wine.

Thank you to the publishers and netgalley for the arc.

First off, I wanted to like this book.

It’s a dual POV narrative taking placing in two different timelines. It follows Bev and June whose lives are more interconnected than either of them could have imagined.

The writing is good and there are a number of plot twists - but some feel a bit forced for the shock value. While I normally really like the dual POV and timelines, in this book it felt too much like two completely different stories. It felt very disconnected. It actually made me dislike the main characters as opposed to building that engagement with them.

I also really disliked the ending which seemed completely unbelievable to me. I think I probably would have given the book 3 stars had it ended differently but it just didn’t do it for me!

Till Death Do Us Part

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“Seven days after I was pronounced his wife, I became Josh Kelly’s widow”

What a way to start a book! I loved how each chapter had a small tidbit of the past sprinkled into the story. The narrative alternated between June's search for answers after her new engagement and Bev's life in the early 2000s. She was trying to keep herself happy while maintaining a family she wasn't sure she even wanted. At first, I wasn't sure how the two women were connected, but as each chapter progressed, it was so cool to see two different lives unfolding at different times while being incredibly intertwined.

My opinion of the characters changed so often due to Laurie's storytelling. I thought I had the story figured out, but then she made it seem like the story was over and left me feeling empty. I still had so many questions, and I felt like I didn't know what had happened. Until the epilogue.
