One Bed was fun, but nothing special. Gib was annoying the hell out of me with his trying to get Bea to open up and then telling her it's just a fling when she asked him a simple question. And Bea was such a pushover - I avoid conflicts as best as I can, but Bea took that to another level. And I can't believe she was willing to be just a fling for Gib when he comes to London, when he literally didn't budge an itch. Also, Golly is so ridiculous and self-centred (I mean she also hilarious, but she sounded exhausting). The setting was nice, but the descriptions were too long sometimes - I really don't need a detailed description every time Gib drinks water. And there was one scene where Bea was having a breakdown because her editor didn't like her book, and Gib's only thought was that she won't sleep with him? Outrageous.

It was a quick read, that's for sure. And spicy scenes were well-written, but the relationship and the repetition of the characters' thoughts annoyed me so much. It's a shame, because this sounded so good.

Nothing I haven't read before in the majority. However, had some realism in it too. All in all, I enjoyed the story of Bea and Gibson and found really funny hearing about Greek food and places and that added to my enjoyment.

I quite enjoyed this book—it’s very much low-stakes fluff, in the sense that there is no real conflict. It follows Bea, an author of a YA adventure series, during her time in Greece planning her fruity, unhinged godmother’s birthday party. It’s got a classic one-bed trope, a secret identity/alias element, and her unhinged godmother who’s a bit of a force of nature. The godmother ends up nudging Bea into a double-booked accommodation situation… with none other than the new CEO of her literary agent. It’s charming, light, and enjoyabl and easy to sink into.
I typically want more either more conflict/angst/plot or more spice, which informs my rating but all around great and enjoyable for fluffy romance in a cute setting 🐚☀️🌅⛵️

I have never read anything by this author, but I will be looking out for other books they write in the future. I really enjoyed the story as well as the pacing of the story.

Loved the side characters but there was far too much focus on them and this was too slow of a burn for me.

First I would like to thank the publisher for providing me an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Rising star author Bea Williams needs a vacation. And her godmother’s snug Greek island retreat is the perfect place to use as an escape from her writer’s block. Until she finds she’s going to have to share her idyllic one bed cottage with him – Gibson Caddell, one time childhood friend and a great big, drop-dead-gorgeous red flag. As the sun sets on Santorini, Bea’s thoughts soon turn to something much more pressing – there’s two of them. And only one bed…

What I love:
- Greece, this has been on my travel bucket list and after reading this book it has gone higher on the list. I love how the location does play such a role in Bea and Gibson's story.
- Golly, Bea's Godmother and agent she is completely unhinged in the best way and I want to be her when I grow up single, rich and not caring what others think
- Author, I LOVE that Bea is a well sot after author writing under a pen name if I was in any way creative that would kind of be my dream writing what I love with less pressure
- Gibson, there are plenty of times in this book where I wanted to punch him (maybe in the face) but I do appreciate that he gets over his past trauma and fear in the end, also just sounds hot and thoughtful looking after all of the women at the villa

Overall this was a fun quick summer read that was hard for me to put down. If you are looking for your next beach read with a little enemies to lovers, amazing side characters set in gorgeous Greece then I would absolutely recommend you picking this up!

A wonderful read!
This novel drew me in from the very first page and kept me hooked until the end. The characters were vibrant and relatable, the writing was engaging, and the story had just the right balance of heart and humor. Highly recommend!

This was a really easy read and a cute romance set in Santorini. I will say I was just expecting a bit more from this to be honest ,it fell a little flat and very average. I think if you’re new to reading romance this would be a really good starting point as it’s not too long, and the story is easy to follow along

• childhood acquaintances
• she’s an author of children’s fiction
• her main character is based on 𝘩𝘪𝘮
• one bed…
• anxiety and mental health rep
• a very sassy godmother who loves to party

4.25/ this would be such a fun read for the beach! I felt like I connected a lot with the MFC Bea who is in Greece to throw a retirement party for her godmother Golly who is a riot and force of nature. She also is trying to get back into her joy of writing. Unfortunately her vacation is corrupted when the boy from her past is staying in the exact villa as she is and he’s now a CEO and Chris Hemsworth type.
Gibson just wants time away from people and now he’s stuck sharing his space with Bea, who is gorgeous which distracts him. There’s alot of emotional baggage both characters are dealing with, but I enjoyed the humor ( Golly is so funny ), and fun romance.
This is a slow burn/second chance storyline and it made me smile often as I personally know love isn’t perfect and it’s emotional and crazy so I ended up enjoying this one.

Requested this solely based on the cover, so kudos on that. I love the cover so so much.

This didn't really pull me in, but I was invested enough to finish it, which always warrants at least 3 stars from me!

Fun premise, needed more chemistry

I stopped and started this book multiple times. I think the premise is a good one, but I couldn't connect to the main character.

I thought their "meet-cute" with the flat tire was sort of cliche and I maybe needed more depth to feel invested to continue reading.

This story would be a good one for those who like love at first sight romances and for main characters to have a second family/mentor plot.

Thank you NetGalley and Harper Collins UK One More Chapter for an e-copy of ONE BED to review.

I rate ONE BED two out of five stars.

Loved the setting, storyline, and the cast of characters that surrounded the main characters of Bea and Gib. There was a good story and definitely some spice that should be a part of every sound relationship. I really enjoyed this book.

A charming romantic comedy. Bea an introverted author heads to Greece to help organise her flamboyant god mother/agents 70th birthday. Little does Bea know Golly has other ideas and fails to mention that the cottage Bea has always stayed in has another guest. A fantastic read in a beautiful setting.

This was such a cute read! Bea Williams is an introverted author who is helping her aunt/Godmother, Golly, to celebrate her 70th birthday and retirement at her private home on Santorini in Greece. Golly has been Bea's agent on her successful book venture, where she goes by the pseudonym of Parker Kane. Despite the book series raging success, Bea is afraid to leave her pseudonym behind because her family history is anything but stellar. Amid planning Golly's shindig and trying to figure out how to move forward with her career knowing Golly won't be representing her anymore and being fearful of letting any new agent know her true identify, Bea finds herself in quite the predicament. Golly has double booked the cottage that Bea always stays in to none other than Gib, who she shared a room with at the Villa when they were kids. But, they aren't kids anymore...

Tensions rise and so does the romance between these two. But, Gib has his own family issues to work through and can't figure out how to open up. Bea, after being a doormat her whole life, decides that despite her growing feelings for Gib, she has to take charge of her life. But, after their time together, both are finding it much harder to live without each other than they ever thought it would be.

My favorite part of this whole book was the setting. I now want to go to Greece!

This was a cute little romance that was an enjoyable read. It was perfect for a rainy day!

One Bed by Joss is a charming romantic comedy set on the stunning island of Santorini. Bea, struggling with writer’s block, plans to escape to her godmother’s cozy one-bedroom cottage, only to find she must share it with her childhood friend, Gibson. As they navigate old tensions and undeniable chemistry, Bea finds herself caught between her writing and a growing attraction. A fun, lighthearted read perfect for fans of slow-burn romance with a touch of humor.

Thank you @NetGalley and @HarperCollinsUK for the ARC. I really enjoyed this book. It was filled with humor and passion. Bea is trying to give her Godmother the best retirement/birthday party ever. Her Godmother wants to make sure Bea has someone to support her in the changes that are coming. Gib just wants a vacation and quiet. Unfortunately Gib and Bea are put in the same cottage with only one bed. Can two people find what. they both need, even if it is not what they thought they wanted?
