Could not finish.
I tried several times to pick it up and continue reading, and then I’d remember that all the characters were awful, and the book made me feel awful and anxious reading it.
I think the story was a really interesting idea, and I was invested enough to want to know how it ends, but Vanessa’s storyline in particular made me so sad for her naivety and overall situation, and I finally just decided this book is not for me. I don’t mind a thriller or a mystery, but there has to be at least one character that I want to root for.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the advanced reading copy.

Gripping from the first page! Multiple points of view but they work really well and ultimately come together to give a finale trip the story that ties things up for each. I fully wasn't expecting to enjoy this book nearly as much as I did, and actually put off reading it and then it became a memorable 5 star!

An intriguing proposition: What is the truth? How are the lives of a famous rockstar and a woman who can no longer speak connected? What about Vanessa, a retired store detective, where does she fit in?
This story is a LOT of twisting and turning, sometimes it can be too much to keep up with. Right until the very end truths are being revealed in the complex narrative that Corry has written about Janie and the life she lives after the day she died.
I loved the multi-POV approach, I loved some of the characters. I loved how Corry addresses what emotion can contribute to how we make choices in life. I just didn't love how much was going on, and how long the story went on for.
There was a great, natural place to end this, and then there is what continued. Not a bad read, and I think with some editing down, this could have been great.
Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.

This story unravelled through the multiple POVs of Robbie, Janie, and Vanessa with rich subplots that came together in the end. Although this is a longer book, it held my interest throughout. The characters were flawed but redeemable, and I enjoyed the pacing. I highly recommend this one for fans of crime suspense and crime thrillers.

If this wasn't so short, I wouldn't have finished it. Conceptually, it was there! 3 POVs, different timelines, a mystery - yes. Execution was not it. I was incredibly frustrated, but being an advance copy sometimes you gotta power through.

Unfortunately I was unable to download this book before the archive date, but I look forward to reading and reviewing other books by this author in the future.

Wow! This book has so many twists and turns. The story follows a variety of people - both criminals and victims. It all starts with one fateful day that comes back to change the lives of all involved. It also pulls in other people that weren’t initially part of the event. This is definitely a page turner with a lot of moving parts!

While reading I was also listening to the audiobook. The characters and multiple POV’s was well done in the way they all eventually connected, woven together in one way or another. Because of the multiple characters there was sooooo much going on, good and bad. I feel like if it wasn’t for the audiobook and all the different amazing narrators I would have gotten confused at times.
I was captivated and pulled in from the beginning… but not at the end. I feel like the story should have ended a little after the verdict in Janie’s hit and run case. That ending would have been perfect and a five star read.
When the story continued after the verdict, I felt it went too long to the point where the author threw sooooo much unnecessary and wild storyline endings for the characters. That made this ending not as pleasant as it could have been. That was disappointing to me.

Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Random House for a ARC of this book. Sadly this book was not for me and I had to DNF. I gave it a go multiple times and just couldn't get into it. There was so much going on in this book....multiple everything...storylines, viewpoints...just everything. And it was sooooo slow. I still have my favorites from this author but this one wasn't for me.

I thought the first half of this Jane Corry story was good. I was all in. The plot was creative and the points of view were almost bizarre. Unfortunately I felt that the last section of the book was too confusing and busy and that it all didn't fit. It was like the author wanted to add everything she could think of.
Thanks for the opportunity!

3.5/5 stars
I enjoyed the first probably 3/4 of this book. Great story and a plot that moved forward quickly. But then it seemed the storylines started getting jumbled, and I’m not quite sure why the day of the week was highly significant, why the mother getting thrown in was significant, and what the purpose was of introducing Janie to Molly. Otherwise, I enjoyed the book.

Thank you so much to NetGalley for a copy of this book it was really good and I would rate it 3/5 stars!

Haven’t read a book in a long time that captivated myself and made me want to skip events to figure out what was going to happen! This story is truly twisty.
Janie is an 18-year-old victim of a hit and run accident with injuries. Several years pass and finally a famous singer is arrested for causing Janie’s accident. Vanessa is a witness to the accident and has a few skeletons in her closet as well.
This story is told from all 3 POV’s of characters. As we get to know each character the story unfolds as to what exactly happened in this accident. I must admit I thought I had it all figured out, but it truly kept me second guessing.
I really enjoyed the writing and felt the speed of the storyline was fantastic.
Thank you to NetGalley for this arc in exchange for my honest opinion.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of this book. While I enjoyed this book, I felt there was too much going on. With the different story lines and viewpoints, this book would have been better suited as a trilogy, offering the 3 separate stories with the overlapping characters.

Thank you to Netgalley for the Arc!
I Died On A Tuesday was such an interesting premise. When I read the description I was immediately interested. I think the story started out strong, keeping me interested and reading but I quickly developed a distaste for the characters. All of the scenarios just felt super far fetched and the last 1/4 of the story felt as though the author was just trying to wrap up as much as she could without it being a satisfying conclusion.

Janie is off riding her bike when she gets hit by a van and dies on the side of the road. She's brought back to life but now exists in a wheelchair, unable to communicate aside from singing. Decades later, a popular musician is indicated in the crime, and a trial is set to discover the truth.

This was one of the most baffling books I've ever read. It was multiple stories and viewpoints of twisting and meandering storylines. They all seem to be completely separate from one another to the point of being slow and awkwardly paced. Then, the last third of the book hits, and it was insanity. Every single storyline was tossed together. Threats and deaths and missing persons come back. Betrayals and hidden characters and matchmaking attempts. It was everything, AND the kitchen sink, and I was shaking my head at how ridiculous it all was. Everything was tied together and then thrown in with other people related to those we knew about tangentally. Which continued in an intricate and overly convenient web that thrust everyone to the forefront at once. Then it ends on possibly the most awkward and cringe-inducing song I've ever read. Which heavily implies a main lead is a very unreliable narrator, as if it's a surprise when it's already been drilled into our heads for at least the last 100 pages.
All in all, this was a frustrating read, and I wouldn't recommend it unless you truly love books that are long and drawn out, then huck everything at you in an attempt at creating mystery and intruige.

Thank you, NetGalley, and Penguin Random House for the digital ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This became an Indigo Staff Pick of the Month for January 2024.
I also liked that the author description says that Jane Corry spent time as a writer in residence in a high security prison. I’ve sold copies just on that fact alone.
Displayed prominently on our front of store wheelie.
Thanks for the review copy.

Started off well. It was an interesting premise. Unfortunately I felt it difficult to connect with the characters. There were elements of the story that were intriguing but about halfway through I just felt there was too much going on. Too many coincidences and unbelievable moments. One of the characters just seemed way too naïve to me. There were a few twists and turns and in parts I couldn't wait to see what was next. Overall though it was an unsatisfying read for me.

This story had hope but honestly wasn’t my favourite. This is about an 18 year old being hit by a van and then 20ish years later, someone gets arrested for it. There are 3 POV and goes from present to Janie’s past view when she was in the accident. However, there was just A LOT going on. There were different secrets that could be hard to keep track. The storyline was under clear at times, ie. a characters name was listed even though Vanessa didn’t know that was them. (Loc 2932). And it just wasn’t great. I received this book as an ARC which was clearly not edited or reviewed for extreme word and punctuation errors yet. Which is fine and likely wouldn’t be the case at publishing. But this book gave me a headache.

This book was intense, it took me awhile to get into because of how it jumped around between all the characters. I felt like there was a part in the middle where the book slowed down for me and I had trouble picking it up, but for the most part I was hooked and I needed to know how everything connected. The ending shocked me and I did not fully believe it, but definitely an intense read that is hard to put down.
