Will have to come back to this book in the future as I just couldn't get into it. It definitely has those mid 2000's erotica vibes along with some interesting characters, it just didn't work for me at this time!

A great all rounder - romance, a good story line and characters that you could help but cheer on for. In a nutshell a romance book I’m glad I picked up.

If you're looking for a light-hearted, laugh-out-loud read, this is it! Thank you Avery for breaking my book funk! Taddy was the PERFECT heroine!

“Please do not masturbate while I do your feet. I cannot take another moaning horny white woman this week.”

The language was a bit vulgar, and that is saying a lot, because that usually doesn't bother me at all/ It just felt excessive here.

Other than that, hot and hilarious. Good in-between read to check out between heavier books.

This is the perfect example of how a second book of a series yet can be read as a stand alone should begin. In the first few pages Avery Aster gave us an extensive run down of who's who and how they became what before we began our journey with them.

I am from Arizona, born and raised and the closest I have ever gotten to New York is being a 20 year fan of the Howard Stern Show. This book is all about the New York high society social life, which is fun to live vicariously through, but I felt some of it was a bit too much for me to even comprehend. I am higher on the romance scale as compared to the fashionista scale, some of the things Taddy described fashion-wise I had no clue about.

The dialogue was fast and witty. I loved how these girls had no shame discussing diet pill popping, boozing, boob jobs, getting laid and vajayjaydazzling. Some of the lines were laugh out loud or OMG moments for me. It was definitely a lifestyle I was glad to peek in to.

While I enjoyed learning about the girls, there was almost too much set up before the romance of Warner and Taddy even began. I wished they would have gotten together a bit sooner as I could see some more hot sex scenes in their future. It seemed just as Taddy and Warren finally got together, the book was over. Avery Aster can write a pretty sexy scene and I felt a little short changed with the lack thereof in the story between the leading characters.

The book was well written and I felt the author made the book seem as though you were watching an extremely wealthy version of Sex in the City. Her details were amazing, right down to the purse each girl carried for her night on the town. We got to know the ins and outs of every character, along with the supporting characters. The book finished up nicely, leaving no questions, but an easy open for a third book.

Another hot, sexy and fun story by Avery Aster. I loved Taddy's personality in Undressed, so I was excited to learn more about her. Her backstory is heartbreaking, and I can understand why she is so fierce and independent. Warner oozes sex appeal off the pages as Big Daddy, and it's not hard to see these two coming together. I loved the sparks between them from the beginning. The cast of supporting characters continue to deliver in this Manhattanite story. They add a rich layer of friendship, support and humor. I love Avery's writing style! It sucks me in, so that I can't put the book down until I finish it. Can't wait to read more from this series!

This book has been sitting on my NetGalley shelf for seven years and I decided it was time to read it to clean my closet once and for all. I’m sorry to say that maybe it’s been there so long for a good reason. It’s described as a hilarious and naughty erotic romance, but for me it was just a painful waste of an evening. I did not find it humorous nor was it sexy or romantic. The best part of the book was the character descriptions in the beginning that the author provides to explain who is who. I’m sure there are others who enjoyed this as evidenced by the many four and five star reviews, but this book was not for me. I had to DNF about two-thirds of the way through and gave it one star. I thank NetGalley for the opportunity to read it.

Sexy, fun and perfect for fans of erotica! This book felt a bit too long however and I wasn't a huge fan of the hero but it could also be because I've outgrown that type of hero and no longer find them sexy.

4.5 Stars for Unscrupulous! I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

Tabitha "Taddy Brill" Adelaide Brillford is a self-made millionaire~
When she was a young child a secret was revealed and she was sent off to boarding school. As a teenager, after years of no contact from her parents, Tabitha legally separated herself from her parents. She goes on to college and starts her successful career. She is highly successful and surrounded by her few very close friends, but yet she is missing something...

Warner Truman is a billionaire widower~
As a teenager he falls in love with an older woman. Together they open a bed & breakfast and start their way to a successful hotel enterprise. After tragedy strikes, Warner buries himself into his career and a charity in memory of the woman he loved. Woman throw themselves at his feet in hopes of landing themselves a billionaire lifestyle. However, Warner is looking for something real...

A chance encounter throws Taddy and Warner together. Just when it seems like they are going to spend the night together, someone steps in and stops them. Taddy leaves without looking back but spends the next few months thinking back on their time together. From the moment that Taddy walked away, Warner was determined to find her again.

After an unfortunate event, Taddy and Warner are reunited and end up spending the weekend together. Taddy is very hesitant to let herself feel anything for fear of losing control. After the weekend ends, she heads home and back to her work and figures she will never hear from Warner again. Will she? Will they realize just how much they care for one another? Or will their insecurities keep them apart?

As I mentioned, I received a copy of this book for an honest review. I have to admit, I had a difficult time with the first part of this book. Not having any knowledge of the lifestyles the characters lived, I had a hard time connecting to them. However, once Taddy and Warner reconnected I fell in love with the characters and their story. I had not read the first book "Undressed" but Avery Aster did an amazing job with the writing and you don't feel like you missed anything by not reading the first book.

The only reason I am not giving this book a solid 5 stars is because I had a hard time with the beginning and connecting with the characters/story. However, after making my way through the book, I will definitely be reading Undressed... I want more of Red and Big Daddy!

Reviewing this book is hard. I think because mostly it was not for me. I know there are a lot of great reviews out there, so please make sure you read those as well and make up your mind, because this could be the book for you.

For me, specifically, I never felt like I really got to know Warner at all and Taddy was all over the place. I think that made it hard to connect with them and then in a blink of an eye, they were in love.

I do have to say there are some laugh-out-loud moments, but there were also moments that left me going, "huh". I did like how Taddy and her friends were always there for each other and how she stood up for her assistant. The mystery surrounding her father and her relationship with her parents did add to the story and explained a little bit about her and how it affected the adult she came to be. And the leads did get their HEA, which is always good, although a bit too quickly. :)

So like I said, it was not that this was not a good book, it was just not for me. I am going to go back and read the first book as well, since I hear great things about it.

I do want to say I really appreciated the request to read the book, but honestly, I think it was just not for me.
