A big thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Presents for the eARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I have to say that I like this author She writes about exotic places which I really enjoy. This one is fun but not very believable. I found the premise interesting but not realistic. I did like the main characters. Loved how Kate was able to maintain her very cool job as a exotic animal vet-for orangutans. Lots of angst and drama between the two brothers. Would love to read the next book about Leo! 4 stars

This one was just okay for me. Leander and Kate’s story was pretty complicated. Leander agreed to a fake marriage to Kate’s best friend so that she could gain an inheritance. He got cold feet due to his feelings for Kate. Kate is sent to retrieve him to fulfill his promise to marry her friend and drama ensues. Their feelings for each other are revealed which changes everything. Can’t forget to mention that Leander’s twin is standing in for him while all this is happening. There’s drama all around but the story ends in redemptive love.

This was a good read. The storyline plot is nothing new, but I liked the fact that author made sure to distinguish the relationship between Hero & OW was that of just friends only which made it enjoyable for me to believe in the romance of the MCs and not feel as if heroine was second choice.

I received a free copy of this book via NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review based on my personal opinion.

Loved these two and their love story. The development and progress of their romance and relationships was so well done. A lot of heart and emotion plus some great chemistry made this a five star read.

Leander, our hero is marrying his childhood friend, Helena, so she can receive her inheritance. After a few months they will quietly divorce.

Helena's best friend Kate, maid of honor, arrives a week before the wedding. They all wanted to spend time together and celebrate before the nuptials. Leander, Helena and Kate do dinners, site seeing and parties during that full week. They were a having a wonderful time and making some great memories. Kate and Leander become great friends. They had conversations with a lot of depth and had just a fun and enjoyable time together. Until one day before the wedding, after a party and Leanders home things changed drastically the next morning.

The day of the wedding it isn't Leander saying his wedding vows to Helena it's his identical twin brother. Leander skipped the wedding and asked his brother to step in for him as he had something to work out.

Kate is sent by Helena to go fetch Leander and bring him back before the media and everyone else finds out he abandoned Helena at the alter.

This is where things really take off. Kate finds Leander and is now determined to bring him back. But Leander wants nothing to do with Kate or going back. Kate is determined to stay in his home till he changes his mind, no matter how mean and cruel he is to her. She cannot understand what happened to their friendship and what made him hate her all of a sudden.

And this is the fun part. Leander during this time eventually breaks down his walls, because Kate keeps at hi. He tells here why he couldn't go through with the wedding, it was him realizing the night of the party at his home that he was attracted to Kate and cared for her. And Kate realizes that she was fooling herself as well because she realized she was attracted to him, really liked and cared for him as well.

Now to just be clear, this was a fake marriage between Leander and Helena. Love of friendship or more like brother and sister existed between them. And I so appreciated the author making that abundantly clear in the story line and between the two characters.

The two decide to explore their attraction and feelings for each other and it was beautiful. I love their development as a couple. Their communication and dialogue was so well done.

Of course there is an issue that comes up that separates them but it is resolved fairly quickly. And they get their HEA.

I loved the emotion and heart in this romance.

I am hoping that Leo (I believe that's the twin brothers name) and Helena get their love story and HEA. Because you KNOW these two have something their too.
