I love this series of books for children! These books teach about a type of animal, but follow several different species throughout a typical day. Not only do we learn about the needs of different animals, but it gives an idea into how animals actually live, and how their time and lives are structured around so many things that we as humans can take for granted.

This is audiobook is accessible and interesting for primary school aged children. It covers topics such as: What are the parts of a snake? What do snakes eat? Why are snakes important? What are the different kinds of snakes? In between each of these topics, is a section on what a snake might be doing at different times during the day. Snakes are very interesting to many young children and Snake (A Day in the Life) provides a lot of information to transform these reptiles from mysterious and scary to understood and respected. The narrator has a very kid friendly voice and the audiobook also includes sound effects that will hold the interest of young listeners.

I received the audio version of this book for review and it was very well done. As an educator in elementary school, I appreciated the special sound effects that accompanied the narrator all the way though the reading. You feel like you are in the Amazon water with the anaconda while being introduced to the species. It was very entertaining!

A great way to talk about snakes with young readers. I love short audiobooks for independent reading time/centers with students and this is a prefect choice. Cave has written an engaging story to entertain and inform. The sound effects and background music help draw attention back if young minds start to wander and the narrator is engaging and clear in her delivery.

The audiobook would also be perfect for a short car ride with kids.

I consumed this in AudioBook Format, the silly music and sounds helped keep my littles entertained, but this book was very Fact, Fact, Fact. There were little stories that helped my kids stay focused at the beginning of each section, but when the list facts started to get listed their minds began to wander, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I want to be clear this is a discussion starting book- Not a storytelling book. All in all a lot of good information and a good addition to our homeschool day for Kinder- 1st grade level.

I grew up with friends who loved having snakes as pets. I learned to see them as beautiful creatures, even though I personally don't want to have snakes as pets. The person who wrote this also appreciates how beautiful and amazing snakes are. I listened to the audiobook, which had some fun sound effects. I highly recommend this to all young kids so they can also learn to be enthusiastic about these often needlessly feared creatures. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me listen to this

I listened to this one with my snake-loving son and it was a hit. Cool information and easy to listen to. The background sounds were a nice addition to the audiobook. I recommend it as a quick, fun, and educational listen for families with kids aged 7-12. Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the ALC in exchange for my honest review.

Only ticked down to a for because it is the audio, but if paired with the book it would be a 5 for sure. It is a quick educational book that is perfect for children wanting to learn about snakes. I can't wait to recommend to the curious children of the library.

Very informative book presented in an entertaining way. I have been helping students find nonfiction books they like. This is a fantastic narrative nonfiction that will hook many readers. I am looking forward to leaning about more animals.

This non-fiction audiobook about Snakes was a quick listen and geared for the age 7 and older crowd. Any child who has a passion for the natural world, biology, animals, and snakes in particular would be the perfect audience for this. As a non-fiction audio work, it does lose some detail without having pictures to accompany the words. While this is a detriment, the narrator does a good job of pulling the facts together quickly and engagingly. For reluctant readers, this audio combined with the print copy would be a great motivator to get kids invested in the story while improving reading skills.
