Sonya vanishes through a magical mirror and enters the past and sees a bride murdered on her wedding. She must solve this puzzle or the curse will remain. All the characters from the first book are here again: Sonya and Trey, Cleo and Owen.
Love Nora Roberts and this book is no exception. Terrific characters and great suspense. Swoony romance of course. One warning: this is only the second book in the trilogy.... :( Totally worth the read and the wait! :)
Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

Nora Roberts is a must read author for me. I am so glad I was able to read an advanced copy of this book. I have been anxiously awaiting it.

Nora Robert’s continues to be at the top of her class. This is a phenomenal story and group of characters. Clover is my personal favorite but Pye is now a close second.

I thought the book was good. I enjoyed the ups and downs of the book. I can not wait to read other books by Nora Roberts.

Nora Roberts has crafted such a spooky and delightful story. I absolutely LOVED this book! It was the perfect second book and immediately picked up where The Inheritance ended. The whole concept of this trilogy is so unique and good. We have an evil witch, Hester Dobbs, who has cursed the Poole family manor and has killed any female bride residing there. Hester still haunts the house along with ghosts of other other residents. The FMC, Sonya, has inherited this manor and is being tormented by Dobbs while also being assisted by the friendly ghosts. Dobbs wants the manor to herself and is trying to scare Sonya away. The friendly ghosts (some being murdered brides) want Sonya to end the curse Dobbs has on the manor by finding their stolen wedding rings. To defeat Dobbs, Sonya is slowly learning the history of the brides. She is helped by her best friend Cleo, boyfriend Trey, and cousin Owen. These four are awesome together! They hang out and have fun but also get tormented by Dobbs. I love the pacing of this book. You get some normalcy and day to day mixing in with the mystery of Dobbs and the curse. I highly recommend this book! It’s a definite 5 stars’

The Mirror, Book 2 in Nora Roberts’ Lost Brides Trilogy is an exciting continuation of the story that began with Inheritance. One truly should read Inheritance before reading The Mirror to see the progression of all the characters…those living and those who no longer are. Just be sure you have The Mirror downloaded already because the end of Inheritance definitely will leave you breathless! This volume expands the reader’s knowledge about Hester Dobbs, but brings Sonya and Cleo no closer to finding what they need to break the curse the witch has put on the Poole family. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book from NetGalley. Most highly recommend.

The Mirror is a suspenseful continuation of The Lost Bride Trilogy. It's set in a manor on the coast of Maine that's haunted by the rage of a jealous witch and her curse that targets a bride in each generation.
In the first book of the trilogy, Inheritance, Sonya inherits the manor from an unknown uncle and begins to learn about its history and ghostly inhabitants. In The Mirror, Sonya - as the next generation of the Poole family - finds a portal to the past that allows her to bear witness to the deaths of the brides on what should have been the happiest days of their lives. She begins to realize that the manor has been waiting for her as the next generation to break the curse and to expel the evil from the manor. Not alone in her quest, she has the help of her very appealing boyfriend Trey, bestie Cleo, and her newly found cousin, Owen.
Roberts does a masterful job of balancing the scary with slices of everyday life, small town experiences, career challenges, and the give and take of this crew's friendship. It's rewarding to see Cleo learning how to cook, Sonya focusing on her business as a freelance artist, and the romance building between Sonya and Trey, as well as between Cleo and Owen. It's also fun to meet the benevolent ghostly residents of the manor.
This is not a standalone. Story background is shared in the first book. The Mirror ends with many open questions and you will be on tenterhooks until Roberts publishes the conclusion to the trilogy. Personally, I have been so engaged by the story that I can't wait.
Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley.com for sharing an advance copy. This is an honest review.

I have no idea how to explain this story without giving anything away. Best to read INHERITANCE first. I read it but it’s been a while and still got a little lost. This book is so good and it was hard to put it down. The dialogue did run together so it was a little confusing trying to figure out who said what. A little sex. Faithful animals. New friends. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Sonya and her best friend Cleo are living in the Poole Manor and trying to make it their own. Ghosts that play with the animals. One that cleans up after them. And one that plays music for them. The wicked one is trying her best to run them off. Sonya is finding more portraits of the brides and gets pulled into the mirror. Trey and Owen spend more time with the girls and help out. The Big Event is getting close and the women are excited about opening the house to the community.

I dragged my heels finishing Inheritance because I don't like to let go of a book I truly enjoy. I can imagine some readers feel The Mirror is merely a second book filler in a trilogy. I disagree. I enjoyed getting to know the characters on a deeper level, their families, and interactions. It's true there isn't much that's new in this book but it was a real pleasure to spend time with the story line, the background, the characters. I am very much looking forward to the next book.
4.5 stars

Nothing really happens in this book? Sure, there's more backstory on the brides, some spooky things happen at the manor, etc. but a lot of this is focused on Sonya and Cleo's jobs, what they're doing for dinner, letting the pets in and out, etc. This one was just filler and probably not needed. I guess we're saving all the excitement for the third book.
Kindly received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Sonja and Cleo have moved into the Poole mansion and started to make it their own. Both have made the leap of ditching corporate life. Their offices are their own making. And they are each making friends and a bit of romance. Not everyone is happy with this new arrangement. A curse, a witch, and 7 lovely brides help make this a story not to be missed. I found the book to be interesting and a bit spooky. The walking into a mirror? Now that's a twist! I liked the story, characters and even the house of ghosts.

Oh my gosh, what a book! I could not put it down once I started reading! More family, stories, death, and love. I laughed and I cried. Great book! Can't wait to read the next one!

Wow! I love this series! As with Inheritance, this book brings out feelings of excitement, hope, despair, love, helplessness, uneasiness, and determination. I love Sonya and Cleo, their fierce tenacity, their love of Poole Manor and their conviction to break the curse, rid the manor of Hester Dobbs, and return each of the stolen rings to their rightful brides. I love Trey and Owen and their support and faith in the two women, determined to help them break the curse. And I love all the friendly ghosts and the quirkiness and feeling of home and contentment they bring to the 4 inhabitants of Poole Manor. If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I would!

OMG! This book starts right where the first book ends and takes you on a wild ride. I love the love story at the heart of the book. Sonya and Trey are magnificent together and apart. They have that easy kinda love, like it’s always been there and are perfect for the manor. Cleo and Owen find their love in this book and I’m here for it. I love the house ghost, except Hester Dobson she needs to take that leap and stay dead. God doi really have to wait a year for the last book? This one did not disappoint, it’s fast paced and that mirror will give you chills.

A captivating continuation of the trilogy! The plot thickens, the romance deepens, and the world-building is superb. Can't wait for the final instalment.

Book 2 in the Lost Brides trilogy, THE MIRROR is just as fabulous as the first book in the series.
Sonya and Cleo have moved into the mansion Sonya inherited from a family she never knew she had and have been introduced to a plethora of ghosts inhabiting the house – 99.9% of them good spirits. The one evil ghost though, Hester Dobbs, is set on revenge for a centuries-old occurrence and wants Sonya and every other Poole in the family, out of what she sees as her house.
Sonya and Trey’s love affair deepens in book 2 and Owen and Cleo start theirs as Dobbs does everything she can to turn them all out of the house.
She doesn’t know who she’s fighting with, tho, because Sonya, et al aren’t going anywhere.
Told with Roberts's exquisite attention to detail, setting, and lyrical phraseology, this book has been salivating for the conclusion – which won’t come out until next year!! I know – because it’s a Roberts book – the ending will be a happy and good one. It’s the getting to it that is enthralling.
Another un-put-downable book from the Mistress of Literature and all things reading, Nora Roberts
Wish I could give it more than 5 stars.

So many thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for the opportunity to read The Mirror: The Lost Bride Trilogy, Book 2 by Nora Roberts
Bravo!!!!!
Every bit as wonderful as we expect a Nora Roberts book to be. Every bit as perfect as the first in the series, and now I really cannot wait for the third!

Magical and romantic escapism! The world-building was vivid, the romance was enthralling, and the adventure kept me on the edge of my seat. Undoubtedly, one fantastic five-star fantasy romance that I devoured in one sitting! I just know, that the romantasy readers are so going to love it. I can’t wait enough for the finale.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the Publisher for allowing me to read The Mirror by Nora Roberts. The second installment in the Lost Bride Trilogy was AWESOME!!! I could not put it down! This book picks up right where The Inheritance left off and does not miss a beat! One of the things I love most about the way Ms. Roberts writes is the way she develops her characters. I especially love her series because I get so invested in the characters lives! The friendships and family dynamics always ring true for me. The Mirror is not to be missed!
