Nantucket is one of my favorite places to be but, unfortunately, I have never been there around Christmas time. Reading this book made that visit a reality for me, and I really enjoyed it. It was wonderfully atmospheric, and so real that I felt as though I was strolling those cobbled streets right along with the characters.

This is one of those books that appeals to people who like cozy slices of life that work out the way that we wish all of life should. In this story, Nicole’s petulant stepdaughter, Kennedy, threatens to put a damper on the festive mood. Fortunately, Nicole isn’t having any of it, and has to teach her step daughter a lesson about life and love.

This would undoubtedly appear to the Hallmark crowd. I am not one of those, but I did enjoy it. What I didn’t enjoy was the brevity. This is not nearly long enough. Other than that, it’s a wonderful book for the season.
