You ever find a book that crosses so many genres? Yes The Eleven is stated as a horror, a mystery too. But really this is a story of so much more. I have never read anything by Kyle (Author) before and I admit I'm probably going to fall down a rabbit hole looking at all his other books now. I cannot compare (At present) this to any of his other work obviously. I can't actually compare The Eleven to any other book I've read!

I don't want to tell you what this book is about, honestly? I think the synopsis tells you too much. It does more than just wet your appetite. In fact, I think the synopsis makes you do exactly what Kohl (The character) does in the book, search for the answer. Except in this case, the answer of what happens in this book. Wow, if you pick up this book you are about to start a journey with Connor and find out what Kohl's journey was.

At times I thought this is a thriller, maybe a mystery. Then I thought no.... A romance, love.... Then horror... Deceit.... But maybe it's just life (Although in this case on acid!). This book had me feeling so much, but really it boiled down to me having to know. Having to have those answers. Even at the end, I wasn't completely satisfied even though the ending worked and was right. I guess I am greedy. I did work out a few of the things in this book, but it didn't give me that niggling, 'Ha I worked it out' smugness kind of feeling, but more of a, 'I'm on the right path' instead, it was rewarding (And I don't think I've ever wrote that in a book review in my life!).

This was a solid 4 stars, maybe even 4.5. I can see The Eleven becoming a cult book in the best way!

Thank you to Greater Path LLC, Died Famous and NetGalley for this arc in exchange of an honest review.

What would you do to become famous?

This is a amazing installment to Kyle Rutkins Died Famous series. These are amazing books to get into as they are more cult horror then gore. Cult Horror keeps you shocked by the storyline instead of relying on the gore factor.

They have an amazing storyline they keep you turning the page. Kyle makes you waver between thinking Kohl is crazy or a cold blooded killer looking for fame.

I love an ending that keeps you thinking after you finish the book.

The Eleven

“I was thirteen when the devil marked me on the chilly streets of San Francisco.”

When I started reading this book, I wasn't sure if I would like it, but as I continued reading, it drew me in. The story revolves around Connor, an intern at a celebrity tabloid who investigates a screenwriter to find out what happened to a missing actress. The screenwriter, Kohl Reynolds, turns out to be Connor's favourite author. Kohl shares a story that involves friendship, love, betrayal, and a Hollywood elitist cult. The symbol XIIX is a recurring theme throughout the book.

Reading this book felt like watching a movie. Kyle's writing style is engaging, and he doesn't rush to get to the end. The plot twists are subtle yet powerful, and the way everything and everyone is connected is impressive. The end of the book gives a sense of happiness despite the dark storytelling. I'm grateful that I found this book on Net Galley. Kyle has done an excellent job!

What a ride! This novel quickly turns from a newspaper reporting caper to a operatic tale of love, secrets and ancient lore.

When Savannah Beck is reported missing, the celebrity tabloid InsideJuice.com hopes to get the scoop. Intern Conner Daniels hustles a lead and ends up falling into a situation where he is able to interview renowned screenwriter Kohl Reynolds about his relationship with Beck. What Reynolds reveals however, is a story of how he got his start, from a deal with the devil to falling in love with the wrong girl.

This thriller keeps you on your toes - Khol's story is epic and Connor's own story is just as exciting. I truly loved every minute of it and I know you will too! If you love tales of Hollywood, believe in secret signs and societies or just want to read the next best thriller, The Eleven is for you! #greaterpathllc #diedfamous #theeleven #kylerutkin
