This story was such a ride! What’s thought to be a luxurious hotel turns into something beyond everyone’s wildest dreams… Lucy Foley had me captivated from the very beginning of this book, and I’m so glad I gave her writing another chance. I love multiple POVs, and I love how her characters always seem to connect in the strangest yet most mind-blowing ways. Well done!

Pretty slow but I can see the appeal! I think it works for a plane ride or a vacation read where you don’t have to pay super close attention and you need something to zone out with! It wouldn’t keep me hooked enough to come back to if I put it down but I liked for a one siting zone out book!

Lucy Foley, for years, has been incredibly reliable for me when it comes to bingeable thrillers. I'm not sure what it is about this one that is just not connecting. Maybe my taste has changed and the rich people problems that populate her books do not draw me in anymore. Maybe I'm burnt out on thrillers at the moment. Either way, this book just is not connecting with me and I don't feel like pushing through the boredom
Thank you to NetGalley and William Morrow for an ARC of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review!

Thanks to William Morrow and Lucy Foley for the chance to read ‘The Midnight Feast’! I personally like when an author goes between timelines but I could see it being annoying/confusing for other readers. It took me a minute to really get into it, but once I did I had to continue as quickly as I could. I loved the atmosphere and folklore aspects and some of the reveals really surprised me (which I always appreciate).

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

The constant back and forth between timelines made this a difficult read for me. The structure felt disjointed and pulled me out of the story rather than drawing me in. While the premise had potential, the execution just didn’t land.

Lucy Foley does it again! The Midnight Feast is a dark, moody, and utterly addictive read that kept me up way past midnight. Set at an exclusive luxury resort with a mysterious past, the story unfolds over one weekend and through multiple perspectives—each voice layered with secrets, tension, and just the right amount of unreliability.
The atmosphere is peak, it's —claustrophobic, eerie, and cinematic. You feel like you're right there, navigating the polished façade of the resort while sensing the danger lurking underneath. I especially loved how the story played with timelines and perspectives without ever becoming confusing. It only added to the slow-burn suspense.
Lucy Foley’s ability to weave character-driven mystery with juicy drama is unmatched. Every reveal was satisfying, every red herring smartly placed, and the ending was pitch-perfect. If you're a fan of The Guest List or The Paris Apartment, this one is a must-read. Twisty, stylish, and just so fun.

This is Lucy Foley’s best yet. Such a page turner! Lived the setting. Reminiscent of Shakespeare. But spookier.

Big fan of Lucy! The way she writes her books always keeps my attention and obsessing over it! The way the I thought I had it all figured out…BOOM! Plot Twist!!

I love Lucy Foley’s books. They are always a tense, twisted ride. Told in past and present timelines by a suspicious, sinister cast of characters, this fast-paced thriller kept my attention the whole time (I read it in two days). There are definitely some tropes - rich summer kids vs. poor local kids and something that happened in the past resurfacing 15 years later - but the reveals expertly-paced. Thanks to NetGalley and Harper Collins for the advance digital copy of this book.

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC of this title. I’ve read other books by Lucy Foley before and I was not surprised that I enjoyed this one as well! The way all the characters were intertwined had me on my toes and surprised. I will recommend this one and read more by Foley. Thank you again.

I really like this author, and this was a great story. Twists and turns galore, and just when you think you have it all figured out, plot twists!

Loved this book by lucy Foley! Timelines, 4 of them, are easy to follow and the story builds very well. I didn't figure just one piece of the story and I love a book that does that! The narrators were fantastic, I listened to the audio. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

The Midnight Feast by Lucy Foley is a moody, atmospheric thriller with a story that unfolds like a puzzle, every chapter adding tension as you inch closer to the ending.
Foley’s signature style is all here: a glamorous but unsettling setting, a cast of suspicious characters, and a slow-burn mystery that plays with your trust at every turn. As the layers peel back, you realize everyone is hiding something—and some lies are deadly.
A perfect pick for fans of locked-room mysteries, scandalous backstories, and slow-building dread. It’s not just about who did it, but why—and the answer hits hard.

While I love Lucy Foley and automatically purchase everything she writes, this wasn't my favorite--- That's not to say it was not enjoyable! It definitely is a book that intrigues the reader from the beginning and continues to get better throughout!
The story follows the perspective of four characters who are spending the weekend at a luxury retreat. The woods are an ominous place that are described to make you feel like you're there. The birds- oh man, the birds!! An entire concept you need to just read to understand!
Overall, this was a great read and I highly suggest you check it out!

I liked how many layers there was to this book. Nothing was what you thought it was or who you thought they were. I think the fact that there were so many pieces made the mystery more complex and more satisfying when it was all over. A really good book.

he Midnight Feast by Lucy Foley is a deliciously dark and suspenseful thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. The story takes place at the grand opening of The Manor, a luxury resort that promises perfection but hides a much darker side. The sparkling infinity pool, the exclusive cocktails, and the idyllic setting quickly give way to something much more sinister as secrets begin to unravel and tensions rise.
The mix of characters—each with their own hidden agenda—adds to the complexity of the story. From the ambitious girlboss to the mysterious husband, the kitchen help with a murky past, and the enigmatic mystery guest, everyone at The Manor has something to hide. What I loved about this book was how expertly Lucy Foley built suspense. At first, it seems like a glamorous getaway, but the tension grows as old friends and enemies cross paths, and the past refuses to stay buried.
The setting, an elegant resort on the edge of an ancient forest, is atmospheric and adds a touch of eerie danger to the entire story. It’s as if the place itself is holding secrets, just waiting to reveal them. The action escalates when someone ends up dead, and the local police are called in, making everyone suspect each other. The mix of personal secrets and old grudges creates a thrilling web of deceit that I couldn’t stop reading.
What really drew me in were the twists and turns—just when I thought I had it figured out, the plot would shift, making me question everything. The characters are well-developed, and their motivations felt real and relatable, even as they danced dangerously close to their own destruction.
The Midnight Feast is a page-turning mystery packed with secrets, lies, and a sense of impending doom. If you love atmospheric thrillers with rich character development and a plot that keeps you guessing until the very end, this one is a must-read. It’s the kind of book that you’ll want to finish in one sitting, with its dark, twisted feast of suspense.

3.5 stars
I really like Lucy Foley’s writing. Unfortunately, The Midnight Feast wasn’t one of my favorites.
I really liked the premise of this story, it had a lot of potential. But all of the characters, new, old and changed names, really just threw me for a loop. I think I might have liked it a bit better if there weren’t so many characters involved in the telling of this story. And that may just be a “me” problem! But it always took me a minute to figure out who we were talking about.
Overall I liked the story and thought the whole premise of it was good so that’s why I’m giving it 3.5 stars.

I was hoping to love this one more. The storyline was interesting and kept me entertained but something about it just fell flat. Although I liked the connections of the characters it seemed a bit unbelievable that none of them recognized each other. I didn’t love the birds premise but did love the scene in the pub in the end to tie it up. Overall, will absolutely grab another Lucy Foley- I like the authors style, this one just had a few holes for me.

This was a great book. I loved every paragraph, every sentence and every word of this masterpiece! I read it in 12 hours, which is a lot for me to do! It had everything and more laid out in the novel! I sure hope There is more to come from this author! I am totally hooked!

The Midnight Feast hooked me in the first paragraph and didn't let go. Some characters are deeply unpleasant but so well-developed that you are compelled to read on even if you can't relate to them or care what happens to them. It was like watching a complex, slow train wreck. The plot was twisting and filled with secrets while I was able to unravel some of the secrets I didn't catch them all. A very enjoyable, thoughtful novel that will stay with me for a long time.
