I initially thought this book would largely be about moving forward and discovering love, but realized fairly early on that instead, it was a book about grief – and how grief is sometimes raw and insurmountable and inexplicable and, just, hard. I appreciated that the book tackled alcoholism and mental health, and that it took these topics seriously. Ultimately though, I can't say I *enjoyed* "Come Back to Me" – especially since it came to the light that the love interest was involved in the events that led to such a tragedy. However, I'm also not upset that I read it.

This, isn't going to be a rave review, do you ever sometimes feel like the book you read just didnt work for you and felt like you had read and got nowhere? This happened to me. Essentially this is a story about Whitney "finding herself" After the death of her best friend and a slight problem with alcohol - we spend most of the book learning about what happened, and how Whitney is fixing herself. For me, the characters were all very detached, and i didn't feel connected to any of them. I felt, alot of the time Whitney was going through the motions, but never committing. The writing style however was easy to read and flowed very nicely, it was just the story that didn't work for me, at all

This book is about finding yourself after a dramatic loss.
Grief has a way of changing the way the world looks, giving you a chance to truly find yourself.
Well written, the pacing was a little slow though.
