It felt so good to finally be able to read this book after the anticipation!! And this book didn't disappoint!

I am so drawn into the world of the Hardy Brothers series, and this book captivated by the intricate web of relationships and emotions that Dex and Kee navigate throughout the story. I loved Kee's journey from a young, talented singer signed to Trinity Enterprise to a woman facing the consequences of her past decisions!!! The forced proximity between Kee and Dex adds a layer of tension to their interactions, fueling my curiosity to see how their relationship will unfold.

As the story progressed, I was swept up in this book so deep and this book follows the second chance romance (which is one of my favorite tropes ever!) between Kee and Dex, rooting for them to overcome their past misunderstandings and find happiness together!!! The marriage of convenience trope adds a twist to their relationship, creating a dynamic that kept me engaged and eager to see how Kee and Dex's feelings for each other will evolve.

However though, I did have some criticism, because as I delved deeper into the plot, questions rose in my head about certain aspects of Kee's character and circumstances. Additionally, Kee's lack of control over her finances raised concerned about her agency and independence, sparking a desire to see her empowered and in control of her own life.

Overall, this book kept me engrossed in the story very well, made me totally eagerly turning the pages to uncover the twists and turns of their journey towards love and happiness.

"You've always been my girl, my girlfriend, my future wife. Nothing less. Don't you get that? I promised you forever, Kee"

This book is part of a standalone but i love how all the other series are interconnected with it, bringing a whole range of past characters together. with some of my favourite tropes: childhood sweethearts, second chance, fake engagement that turns real, i was so excited to read this and it did not disappoint.

I read this book, to cover in one sitting
Well, this is book 3 in the series I was not lost at all… I loved Dex. At times I was so mad at Kee, for leaving him heartbroken.
She did redeem herself in my eyes
I am off to binge read books one and two, this is my first book by this author, and it will not be my last!

I loved this book! The storyline was perfect and I could not put it down. The romance was so perfect.

Kee is a singer and a star. She signed with Trinity Enterprise when she was just 17 and they have owned her ever since. Kee's mom had a stroke and early onset alzheimers while her Dad was a gambler. They needed money to provide care to her mom so Kee kept entering bogus contract deals with her record label.

Kee grew up next to the Hardy brothers with Dimitri being her best friend and Dex being her first love. Everything changed after a night of drinking and they got into a car accident along with their friends Gabby and Kyle. Kyle died that night and Gabby was left in a coma. Kee was forced to walk way from Dex, flee to Nahville and enter a fictitious relationship with fellow singer Ethan.

Kee and Dex cross paths 3 years later, but nothing has changed and they again go their separate ways.

Now another 12 years later Kee is still with Trinity Enterprise, but the Hardy boys have all become moguls and are Billionaires. Dimitri gets Kee a 6 month lucrative contract to be the headliner at their Las Vegas Hotel.

Kee and Dex are one again forced together. Kee now enters a fake engagement with Ethan but Dex is having none of that and gets Kee and her label to agree to her being engaged to him instead.

Now this is where you lose me. They are finally together and we learn that Kee is a 32 year old virgin. I just can't with that. She says it's because it's always been Dex but 32 come on. Also why didn't she take control of her finances and continued to let her Dad handle things??? Would have rated it hard if not for these things.

Thank you @netgalley and @pageandvine for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Shain Rose is a new to me author and now I want to read everything!

Keelani is a raising star in the music industry when at the age of 17 they send her away leaving her first love behind. We get to see them at 17 in their early twenties then in their early thirties where the book takes place. Dex is heartbroken and throws himself into a highly successful career in tech.

I love the way the second chance romance played out. Super steamy! I couldn’t put this one down.

If you have read Shaina’s work before there will be a lot of characters you know.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Wow. I’m not 100% sure what I expected from Dex and Kee, but this blew me away. Dex is Cade-level crazy and Kee is a mix of wild and considerate.

As usual, the author creates this world of trauma and healing. There are elements we can all understand and resonate with, along with the billionaire lifestyle that most can only imagine. Shain Rose’s stories are always a wild ride that I’m happy to climb aboard. My heart broke and soared for both of the characters.

Dex was this regimented, hard, protective, and passionate man. He was ruthless but giving at the same time.

Kee was a woman trapped by circumstances and loyalty. She had talent and drive, but was molded into something that drove her from the love her life. It was heartbreaking.

To see them come together and work through so much, it was amazing. I adored how when Dex decided he was all in on Kee, he didn’t waiver or prevaricate. He was clear and honest and did not hide his feelings behind a smoke screen to save his heart. It was magic!

I can’t wait to read more from this author!

I received an arc copy, and this is my honest review.

Between Never and Forever has some of my favorite tropes: enemies(ish) to lovers, childhood sweethearts/second chance, possessive MMC who isn't afraid to go for what he wants, and the micro-trope of being jealous of the FMC's truly purely platonic best friend (and they get to give him grief for it).

Secrets come between them, time can't dull their flame, and they both have to work through their hurt and anger over how things ended when they were young. Tension ensues, QUICKLY.

I loved Kee's journey of finding herself and breaking out of the mold of her "brand." Dex is BEYOND hot and now I need to go back and read the first two books in the series.

Thank you to Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, Page & Vine and NetGalley for an eARC for my honest feedback.

Okay, where do I begin?

I've read the first two books and loved them, and when I had the opportunity to read this one, I was so happy!

In this book, we are following Dex and Kee's story.

We've got so many good tropes! Some best friend’s brother, with some fake engagement, and a second chance with a really overprotective male lead. What more could we be asking for ?

I was bawling my eyes out during half the book because their story was so frustrating sometimes. They deserved so much more than what life gave them, but they were so strong. I was feeling pity for Kee. Like, how can you be so good with people and accept the hell you've been put through for it like this?

I really loved how Dex was overprotective of her, and how she felt about that...👀

Dimitri's relationship with them was everything! He was a devoted friend to Kee and a perfect and stubborn brother to Dex!

I think I won't ever forget this book and their relationship.

Obsessed. Obsessed. Obsessed.
Dex is my FAVORITE Hardy brother (and honestly, I didn't think anyone would outdo Dom), and his relationship with Kee was soooooo good - I'm a big sucker for second chance tropes and this was *chef's kiss*.
I'm already contemplating a reread (and I just finished 5 minutes ago) because I loved this story THAT much!

Keelani and Dex’s story is one that spans years and one that is not easily put into words.

Their love wasn’t enough to save them in high school and when given the opportunity love might be the thing that breaks them when they are given a second chance. Keelani has secrets that were at the heart of driving them apart and now Dex had the opportunity to get the truth and he is not going to let anyone or anything get in their way again.

My poor heart was torn into shreds while reading this book because there was so much pain and yet Shain pieced it back together as Keelani and Dex found their way and started healing. It was so beautiful to see the fam rallying around each other and helping these two find their HEA.

Dex and Keelani have been through A LOT. Kee's family is, for lack of a better word, a mess. Her mom is recovering from a stroke and her dad has a gambling problem. Kee is making it big in music despite not being 18 yet. Unfortunately that means that she is being controlled and manipulated by everyone. She is hiding a relationship with Dex and is hurting them. He is undeniably in love with her. They get into a car accident that changes EVERYTHING. Their friend Kyle passes away and Dex saves Kee before their friend Gabriella. The label manipulates the situation and forces Kee away from her home and her love. The relationship can't take it. She returns a few years later and the spark is still there, but Dex was so hurt, he pushed her away. More than a decade passes and Dex is a completely different person and Kee is still drowning while trying to be someone she isn't and everyone around her treats her poorly, with very few exceptions. With help of her best friend Dimitri(Dex's brother), she gets a Las Vegas residency that she hopes will change the trajectory of her career and life and it certainly does. Seeing Dex after all these years is heartbreaking and intense. They end up in a fake relationship and they both hope that they can get each other out of their system for good, but that never truly happens, does it. She's holding things back and he is controlling, but they find common ground in each other. He doesn't give up her, turns out, he never did. She never really did either. There's drama and angst and some scary situations, but they get through it, HEA guaranteed.

I've been feral for this book. Absolutely feral and let me tell you it did not disappoint. The Hardy Brothers series hasn't let me down so far and I suspect that trend will continue onto what I can only assume will be Dimitri's book next!
Out of the Hardy Brothers series this one stressed me out the most, as I was reading it, I was absolutely desperate for Keelani and Dex to make up. I kept waiting for him to come around and it was so stressful! I loved every minute of it.
If you're new to Shain Rose- firstly this is the 3rd book, but if you're like me feel free to read things randomly out of order... I did start this series on the second book, but I was so sold on the title that I had to read it ASAP.
Dex and Kee's story had it all:
-Second Chance Romance
-Forced Proximity
-Marriage of Convenience
Can I also add Tattooed bad boy to this list? That's a selling point all on its own for me.
If you love Billionaire romance that is SPICY and a little dark (I said a little, because Dex is like a little unhinged for Keelani... he's got like not quite a red flag for me, but maybe an orange one) read this book. It's fabulous.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Between the Hardy's, the Stonewood's, and the Armanelli's, I love reading all these series! I think its great that although these books are standalones, they all interlink not only within their own series but with each others series too. Every time I read one of these books with a new main couple, it's like you already know the family when they pop up! This book centres around Dex and Keelani, we've heard Kee's name mentioned in other books its great to finally get to know their story! With secrets and Kee's singing career coming between them, you get to see how they navigate being brought back together after 10 years apart. They fight their feelings for each other when they quite clearly love each other. Throw a little stalker drama into the mix, and you've got yourself a great story. Billionaire romance is one of my comfort reads, and this is another great book from Shain.

Thank you for the arc of this book! This review is already on goodreads and will be posted to amazon and waterstones after release.
