Fighting for Reese by Katie Reus is another book in the Redemption Harbor Security Series. Characters from the first series make an appearance with it beginning at Jesse’s and Hailey’s wedding. From there it is all Cash’s and Reese’s story with two other supporting characters that I hope get their own story too.

As always with a Reus book there is a high degree of suspense along with some steamy bedroom scenes. From early on you agree with Cash that Reese is the woman for him. I adore this strong man who had no problem putting his feelings out there but playing the long game since Reece is a “runner”.

Twists and turns that were not part of the mission come up making this a complicated well-done plot. You can’t go wrong with a Katie Reus romantic suspense book. This is a great one.

This was an entertaining, well-written book. It was steamy, fast-paced, action-;packed, fun and held my interest. I didn't want to put it down. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books by this author.

Reese has had some bad experiences with men in the past so when she hooks up with Cash after their friends' wedding, she is quick to leave and act like nothing happened. Cash is the opposite of Reese. Even though is only serious relationship ended up being with a woman who only wanted his money, he doesn't shy away from what he feels for Reese. He has every intention of making his undercover fake engagement really. He is truly a good guy who isn't an entitle rich man. Reese is fearless (except when it comes to relationships). Spending time and working with Cash makes her realize that he isn't like the men in her past and he is breaking down all her walls.

I enjoyed this story greatly. My only question is...what were the results from the background dive Reese had done on Isabella? I don't recall if anything was said about it later.

4.25stars—FIGHTING FOR REESE is the second instalment in Katie Reus’ contemporary, adult REDEMPTION HARBOR SECURITY romantic suspense series-a spin of from the author’s REDEMPTION HARBOR series. This is agents Constantine ‘Cash’ Pierce and Reese’s story line. FIGHTING FOR REESE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty . Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

Told from several third person perspectives FIGHTING FOR REESE follows the latest assignment for Cash and Reese. An employee is missing from the Kingston Wellness Spa, and her best friend is hoping the team at Redemption Harbor Security to uncover the truth. Going undercover as an engaged duo at a couple’s retreat, along with fellow agents US Marine Rowan and former CIA agent Adalyn, Cash and Reese quickly discover not all is well at the Kingston Wellness Spa. From dead bodies to the Albanian Mob, Cash and Reese find themselves facing the possibility of a serial killer who is intent to destroy them all.

The world building is detailed and intriguing. We are up close and personal with Cash and Reese as they journey towards coupledom while focusing on a potential killer who is desperate enough to make a mistake endangering everyone involved.

The relationship between Cash and Reese is co-workers to friends to fake lovers to lovers. Cash knows Reese is the woman that calls to his heart but Reese believes there is an end date to their fake affair. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters are engaging and interesting. We are introduced to US Marine Rowan, and former CIA agent Adalyn; Spa owners Ben and Mila Kingston, as well as several guests, and law enforcement. The requisite evil has many faces.

FIGHTING FOR REESE is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, family and friendships, relationships and love. The character driven, fast paced premise is intriguing and suspenseful; the romance is seductive; the characters are energetic and captivating.

Fighting for Reese is the 2nd book in the Redemption Harbor Security series from a new-to-me author. It's supposed to be a standalone, but not having read the previous book, I felt a bit lost in the beginning, with lots of character name dropping and hints a previous events. Things are better in the second half, when the action really gets underway with plenty of supense and drama. The plot calls for two couples to go undercover and the POV jumps between the individual characters, which makes for a very interesting and engaging narrative. It is only Reese and Cash however who get the sexy times and their HEA. I have a feeling the other couple will get their story soon!

Review:

I absolutely devoured Fighting for Reese. I finished in a day, it was so so good. I didn’t read the first book in the series so it did take me a minute to get up to speed on some of the background/plot. I loved Cash and Reese and loved how obsessed they were with each other. The tension and interactions between them had me kicking my feet and giggling the whole time. Cash knew what he wanted and wasn’t afraid to get it, coupled with Reese’s incredibly relatable skittishness around dating had me completely hooked. I adored the chemistry, banter and tension between them and would have loved even more spicy scenes!

There were alot of moving parts in the thriller aspect of the book, some of which might not have really been necessary for the plot. This made some parts a little difficult to follow and I felt like I had to keep flipping back and forth to understand what was going on.

Overall I would totally recommend this book. I will definitely be picking up the first book and can’t wait for the third book in the series! Thank you to Netgalley, Author Collective 20 and Katie Reus for the opportunity to review this ARC.

Second book in yet another great series from Katie We met both Cash and Reese in the first book He is a man who has made his money but feels unfulfilled so he has joined Redemption Harbor Security This puts him into even closer proximity to Reese These two had a one night fling at the wedding of Jesse and Hailey. When they are tasked with going to a couples retreat to try to find a missing woman things really heat up between them. Will Reese finally stop running and has Cash finally found what he has been searching for You will have to read to see

This is a fast paced read that will keep you engaged until you turn the last page

Katie Reus books always do it for me, and this book was no different. You have to love a man who is all in and knows what he wants, and Cash was definitely all of that and more. I loved Reese as well.

If you love romantic suspense, you can't go wrong with this book!

I loved this couple, Reese and Cash. Two totally opposite people who have to figure out a way to get along while pretending to be a couple. What could go wrong? Loads going on in this story and there is definitely intensity while being undercover. Cash goes above and beyond in showing Reece that she is indeed, worth fighting for. A little bit of a twist to spur the action up an notch, and then you have "sweet flying pandas". The next couple is also introduced in this story and I am anticipating sparks, no fireworks for their relationship. Can't wait!

I voluntarily reviewed this book.

Book two Cash’s story.
The one from this found family group they thought would never settle down has met his match, he’s just got to get Reese on the same page. That’s if they can survive the surprises that keep popping up in their investigation.
Loved this read, it has plenty going on with a few unseen twists to keep you reading to the end.

I received a review reader’s copy of the book, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Grumpy and sunshine into forced proximity tropes are some of my favorite and this book had them both! The second book in this series, I was already hooked by the chemistry between Reese and Cash in the first Redemption Harbor Security book and was ecstatic to have a story featuring them. Sending them off on a case together where they have to fake being a couple was a recipe for……maybe true love? Cash was told that Reese is a runner and doesn’t trust easy but from the moment they met he was all in and determined to make her his, will he succeed? Find out for yourself in his incredible story of mystery, sexiness and figuring out what you didn’t know you wanted may just be the thing you need.

I liked this book a lot more than the 1st in the series. I am in a phase where I love a respectful man that banters and falls first. This one definitely hit those feels. Reese pushes Cash away some, but not obnoxiously so.

The mystery was fairly straight forward. the good guys win, the bad guys don't.

I look forward to seeing how Adalyn and Rowan play out. We started to see their tension here and it looks good.

Another hit! I love Reese. And Cash will make you fan your face. The overall cast of characters are great and I always enjoy this series. The mystery is great, the romance is steamy, add in just the right amount of tension and you get a story you can't read fast enough!

She's grumpy, he's sunshine...

Reese is grumpy and likes it no strings.
Cash is a total golden retriever, happy guy, but leary of women wanting him for his, well, cash. He's into Reese and is willing to fight for her. Force proximity and only one bed sure does help his cause.
Recommend.

A continuation of the unexpected relationship started in the prior book in the series, Reese and Cash fall into the sheets but it resolved nothing…

Starting with a (literal 🤣🔥) bang, this book then descends into the thriller suspense elements of the storyline with a slower build up between the characters before culminating nicely in a hea after weaving itself together nicely over the course of the book.

Well written, I enjoyed the story and engaged with the characters fully, shipping them with each page turn

Looking forward to Rowan and Adalyn in the next book, there was quite a bit of angst and upset between these two built up nicely in this book

would like to thank netgalley and the publisher for letting me read this book

its high octane with the redemption harbor security... they have been hired to find someone....one of the workers has gone missing and the police arent taking it seriously saying she has gone home....

the wealthy retreat has all the trimmings for wealthy couples to enjoy but something sinister is happening... and it takes reese and her mates to find out what it is

not a bad read that keeps you reading till the end its high octane stuff with mystery surrounding the retreat and a mountain lion stalking the mountains makes an appearance

I didn’t read fiction until about 2020 and Katie Reus/Redemption Harbor was one of the first I found, so the cover for this one quickly caught my eye. This book has some spice/open door so if you’re not into that, keep scrolling.
I really enjoyed the storyline and the mystery. Low angst, the characters were perfect for each other -he’s golden retriever and she’s grumpyish (maybe more standoffish than grumpy but I liked her). Can’t wait to read more in this series!

4.25⭐

Fighting for Reese returns readers to the Redemption Harbour Security series. For a story that is easy and engaging to read.

As Reese and Cash are sent undercover at a couples retreat in Montana to search for a missing employee.

But Reese has just ghosted Cash after hooking up with him. So she's not exactly thrilled to learn her next assignment means being in such close proximity to him. Where as Cash is thrilled to learn he's finally going to get Reese's full attention and the fact they're sharing a bed is a bonus!

Yet, the assignment is anything but simple, and the pair soon find they are battling more than just their attraction. Thanks to the Albanian Mob, cops on the take, drug smuggling and a few dead bodies to keep them on their toes.

So, it's going to take all their wits, trust and skill if they're to survive this assignment.

And they are not the only ones.

As Adalyn and Rowan are joining them in Montana and they have big issues to overcome if they are to work together as a team and make it home too.

And with a fast-paced storyline, plenty of suspense, likable characters and lots of fun back and forth. Not to mention a little heat. This was an enjoyable read. That nicely blended the intrigue and suspense with Cash and Reese's romance.

I would happily recommend Fighting for Reese to all.

Katie Reus is one of my go-to authors for romantic suspense, and Fighting for Reese was a solid addition to the new Redemption Harbor Security series. Reese and Cash (introduced in Fighting for Hailey, book one) go undercover along with two colleagues to a couples retreat in Montana to investigate a missing person case. The tension between Reese and Cash is hot, having hooked up at Hailey’s wedding at the beginning of the book, then trying to act as an engaged couple throughout the investigation while trying to keep their hands off each other. Between suspicious retreat owners, Cash’s ex popping up, and mysterious comings and goings in the woods, the plot kept me guessing. Fighting for Reese was also written with some perspective from the second “couple” Adalyn and Rowan, who clearly have a controversial past. I hope that their story will be next. While this can be read as a standalone, reading Fighting for Hailey first can be beneficial to have some background and context.

I really enjoyed this second book in the Redemption security series. Finally giving into temptation, Cash and Reese have a one stand. Imagine their surprise when they have to go undercover as husband and wife to solve a murder. At a couples retreat no less. Reese and Cash are forced together looking for clues and the backdrop was beautifully described!
