In Junkyard, readers are treated to a cute tale of sibling rivalry and imagination run wild. As Sam and Pam find themselves in charge of a fluffle of baby rabbits, chaos ensues as the bunnies embark on an epic adventure at the local junkyard. What I loved most about this book is its ability to capture the essence of childhood play and camaraderie. From building forts to engaging in muddy battles, the bunnies' antics are sure to elicit laughter from both young readers and those young at heart.

This book reminded my so much of my now grown children when they were younger. Now they are the best of friends but then everything was a competition back then. It is the evolving story of Sam and Pam and thier friends. One day they go on an adventure to a junkyard. They decide to build one fort which then turns into two due to the bickering. There is a hammock involved which leads to a mud ball fight. I think the rabbit with the oversize clothing Nigel was the comic relief of this book. It is a fun story, but I feel the pictures could have been brighter as they were to dark. Great book for the beginning reader and for a bedtime story.

The usual excellent mayhem and mess from this series. Sam and Pam spend all book fighting over everything and yet end up having a ball by the end of their escapade. The humour is there alongside the excellent use of the words mixed into the images. Highlighting the key words adds to the tale and made my little one laugh as we read it. Any book where getting very mucky is allowed and cherished is a hit and this book did it well.

I’ve been trying to grab all the kids book that are age appropriate for my daughter and I to read.
We liked Junkyard, it was a cute read about rabbit siblings who would always blame each other for their messes but in the end they took responsibility to help their friends. My daughter said her favourite part was the sleeping rabbit lol. Thanks to Netgalley for the complimentary copy.
