Thank you to Netgalley.com for the ARC. This novel is for any hard-core fan of television. Those who have dreamt of finishing the unfinished series. Those who want to see where the characters are in the future. What would you do given the chance to live in those shoes. Would you follow the path that looks the best on screen or branch out and find something or someone wonderful and unexpected?
4.5 out of 5 stars.

Have you ever wanted to step into the world of your favorite TV show? Carson's Cove is the popular teen show (think Dawson's Creek) that gets canceled when Brynn is younger, and she spends the rest of her 20's rewatching it whenever her life doesn't go as planned. A random guy shows up on her bday with a cake, asking for a wish, and BOOM, Brynn steps into the shoes of Carson's Cove's main character. The guy with the cake is pretty unhinged, and the plot gets a little corny, but the romance and path of self discovery keep it chugging along. For a sophomore book, this has made me want to go find her 1st one.

From the second I read the Joshua Jackson/Pacey Witter dedication page I was hooked into this. I'm a huge Dawnson's Creek kinda girl and one who was happy with the ending so a story where Pacey gets the girl is sure to be a read for me. Right? Maybe not though and I can't even figure out what it was but somewhere around the halfway point of this story I just put it down and then it took me almost a month to pick it back up. In the end it was cute.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC read. Having read Kate Robb’s book ‘This Spells Love’ I was hoping to get another glimpse at this authors twists and turns in regard to romance! In the beginning, the plot twist had me concerned but it ended up being the perfect small town romance. As far fetched as it may seem, being moved into your favorite tv show is every young girls fantasy. I loved the character development and cute Easter eggs to all the shows I have also loved. Well done Kate!

I really liked the premise of the main characters being transported to Brynn's favorite comfort show. I thought the plot was unique and well constructed, and I bought into it pretty quickly. My big critique of the book was that I felt Brynn and Josh's relationship could have developed a bit more slowly and naturally.

What if you woke up and you were suddenly in your favorite TV show? And you were tasked with creating the ending that the show *should* have had, with your dream TV boyfriend? But you quickly start to realize that maybe the things you used to accept about the show aren’t 100% kosher when you’re actually living in that reality, and that maybe the dream boyfriend isn’t as dreamy as your real-life roommate (who, incidentally, is playing his own part in this little TV show situation)… This was SO MUCH FUN and unapologetically sweet and silly and I loved it. Kate Robb is going on my auto-read author list after this one - that’s two hits in a row.

This was such a cute premise… i enjoyed the whimsy of the narrator wishing for the nostalgic part of her youth, and I did really like the MMC.

I wish I could say I loved this book, but in reality, I could only make it short way in before I gave up. The writing was elementary -- short, non-descriptive and overall just very dull. The characters were so generic that I wondered if they were a product of ChatGPT, and the storyline was so predictable that even though I didn't finish the book, I have a pretty confident idea of how it ended. Regardless, I appreciate the ARC from Kate Robb and Random House Publishing Group - Random House, but this is one I definitely won't be recommending.

This was cute, it reminded me of one tree hill/ Dawsons creek meets haven. I really enjoyed reading. I’m a sucker for a happy ending… just like Brynn. I was happy Brynn and Josh got there happily ever after. I loved the easter eggs from teen shows I watched growing up. I wasn’t expecting it so it was fun putting it together. Thank you for the arc!

I actually really enjoyed all the nods to the 90s/2000s teen dramas, there’s a lot of them and you could make a game out of catching them all! This book definitely gave off could be a CW show vibes, which I personally like. The storyline of having to pretend to be a certain character and dealing with all these characters you loved growing up and figuring out how to reconcile creating the ending you thought you wanted and what might actually be what is needed I had me really interested.
My main problem was that this is a romance and I really did not see the romance develop. There’s some flirting, tension and heated looks/moments but it didn’t make me believe they were in love, into each other? Yes, in love? No. By the time we get to the end it feels a little rushed and didn’t match the pace and vibe of the rest of the book which was a little disappointing.
Overall, fun book with a fun concept but felt a little lacking in the romance area and ending.

I could not connect with either character in this book. Also it was just so cheesy and I did not enjoy it at all.

A fun story for just a cheesy good time!
Our main love interests get sucked into our heroine's favorite TV show...a wholesome teen drama!
They have to act as characters and resolve the shows unsolved relationships and dillemas to find their way back home...
And discover feelings for each other along the way!
A Hallmark Movie like story!

Thank you Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The magical realism in this story is heavy in this story guys. Our two main characters wake up and are suddenly on the set of a Dawson’s Creek type show. Only they are now two of the main characters, fifteen years after the finale.
The concept is really cute, and I enjoyed the Easter eggs from other teen dramas popping in. The nod to a character named Chad Michael, all that is needed is the Murray on the end and the heart throb of my youth pops into my head.
The plot had a lot of humor in it, and the characters were enjoyable. The spicy scenes were detailed and the slow burn leading up were *chef’s kiss*.
If you are looking for a light and fun palette cleanser, then I definitely recommend this book.
QOD-What is your favorite TV Show?

As someone who didn’t grow up watching g the classic small town shows like Carson’s Cove, I absolutely loved this. Kate’s writing and way of describing setting is amazing. I felt like I was physically in a Massachusetts town. I loved the use of dual POV and how we were able to learn about both Brynn and Josh as their own people but also see them together. I love how much Josh loves Brynn and when they have to say goodbye GIRL😭. I’m immediately going to read miss robbs debut because I’m obsessed with her. Thank you net galley🫶🫶

A quirky and light summer read, with a fun premise. As a teen-TV-show lover, this book really appealed to me.
Brynn makes a birthday wish and is transported to Carson’s Cove, the setting of her favourite teen drama, but it’s not all it’s cracked up to be.
While the show the main characters are sucked into is based on Dawson’s Creek, I also loved the author’s use of characters/place names from multiple teen shows. It hit me right in the nostalgia bone.
Thanks to NetGalley and Dial Press for the ARC!

This book was a super refreshing, comfort read. I loved it.
I do have a bit of a gripe with the fmc. She acted more like a 16 year old rather than a 30 year old. I expected a little bit more maturity out of her, but it was nice to see that maturity at the end of the book. Let’s chalk it up to an early life crisis and the divorce on her part.
Even though the characters were in their 30s, it gave off a YA vibe, but definitely not in a bad way. I think that’s why this book is such a fun read. I 100% got the Dawson Creek vibe throughout the whole book. Which leads me to the ending and the little “Easter Eggs” paying homage to those early 2000s shows we all grew up with.
I would recommend this book for light romance readers or anyone looking to get back into reading.
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing for the ARC!

A magical read! Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC 🩷
Brynn is turning 30, recently divorced, and living with a roommate. She has an unhealthy obsession with a tv show, Carson’s Cove! She makes a wish on her birthday and she’s transported into the world of her favorite show but she brought her roommate Josh too.
Now, they have to pretend to be the main characters Sloan and Fletcher. But Sloan has to end up with Spencer so she has to fit in with the story. However, it’s not what she wants! She’s falling for Josh but that could get them stuck in Carson’s Cove!
I loved the Dawson’s creek references. I was a team Pacey girl so I’m a big Josh fan! Joshua Jackson is my celeb crush lol

i was so so excited to receive this arc and love this unique idea for a story. i grew up watching shows that sound just like Carson’s Cove and was hooked for the first 20% or so. after the initial set up, it fell somewhat flat for me. i didn’t feel any connection to either of the main characters and it just didn’t do it for me!

Thank you, NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Random House for this advanced reader's copy. I chose Kate Robb's This Spell's Love as a Book of the Month pick and loved it so when I saw she had another rom-com book out I knew I had to read it. It definitely did not disappoint. Newly divorced, Brynn is turning 30 and looking back on her life and her failure at love. No one remembered her birthday and she's living with her friend, Josh. Brynn is obsessed with an old tv show, Carson's Cove, where everything always turned out in the end, unlike her own life. Except Carson's Cove ended on a cliff hanger and the show unexpectedly wasn't renewed so the main characters never got their happily ever after. Brynn and Josh are watching reruns of the show as it turns midnight on the beginning on Brynn's birthday and a surprise birthday cake is delivered on their doorstep. Brynn wishes for her nothing to go wrong and a happily ever after. The next morning, she wakes up in Carson's Cove and she is Sloan, the sweetheart and main character of Carson Cove. And Josh is there, too. He is Fletch, the bad boy of Carson Cove. Now Brynn has to give Sloan and Spencer, the town heartthrob, their happily ever after that they never got in the show. But as Brynn spends more time as Sloan and in Carson's Cove, she finds out more about what kind of happily ever after she is looking for and sometimes perfect really isn't all that much fun. This book was fun and there was actually a really deep line in the book that resonated with me.

I'm so sad, I really wanted to love this one. I loved the idea of the premise especially the aspects of early 2000's TV which I love. However, I never really connected to either of our main characters and the pacing felt a little off for me.
