I did enjoy this book more than book 1 but still feel like there are missing back story pieces and development.

The audio was great and I really enjoyed the narration though! I would give this 4 stars simply for the narration.

3.5 stars. Blood & Wrath by Rumer Hale - Since this is book two, I won't give much away. I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first book. I think I prefer Kiarra's POV over any of the guys. When it's the guys POV, it just feels like a dick measuring contest(albeit dragon/shifter dicks). The story is still keeping me entertained, though, so I can't wait for the last audiobook!

I had the opportunity to read this on audio through Dreamscape Media. I am obsessed with listening to this series as I feel like it really comes to life (no pun intended) that way. We are taken back into the world of demons, witches and wizards through Kiara’s point of view. But in addition to her point of view, we get more of the guys’ points of view and I just loved them! There are a few more spicy scenes in this book, but they are done well and don’t take away from the plot of the book like others I have read. I really enjoyed getting to know the boys’ background more as well as how much of a badass Kiarra is.
Very much looking forward to book three!
Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to read this in exchange for my honest opinion.

This was book 2 of a series that I really hoped I would enjoy. But, I didn’t finish book one, so didn’t try this one. Thanks for the opportunity though.

I liked the progression of the story and characters from the first book. And the slow burn finally started to pay off. The narrators were great as well.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.
Blood and Wrath is the continuation of the Blood and Ruin series by Rumer Hale. In this installment the guys must find their mate again. She has been kidnapped and is being held in a moving location while they hunt her down.
This was a good continuation of the first novel. I definitely enjoyed it and their connection grew stronger. The main event however is the main character unlocking a new ability she never knew she had before. It was interesting learning more about her and her background. How she grows with her mates is so great.
I can't say much without giving away a lot from the first novel. It feels like an filler novel with the center of the main character figuring out her new abilities and her new world that is opened up to her. I would recommend this series to my romance lovers.

3.25/3.5 ⭐️

I really enjoyed book 1 in this series. I felt like as someone who doesn’t read a lot of fantasy there wasn’t a TON of world building, even for me there could have been more, but there was a story line and i was excited to see where it went in book 2.

I enjoyed the idea that the FMC was so close, yet so far and the concept of the dimensions and worlds that they were fighting against. Demons. Dimensions. Underworld. etc.

I felt like there was SO many POVs that sometimes it felt extremely repetitive because you got the exact same info and thoughts on the same subject before we could move on basically. I think a good RH is when you get different things from all POVs. I love smut as much as the next girl but i felt like book 1 had a lot of stress and suspense and so did the first half of this book and the back end of it but the remaining was like alllllll smut that felt out of place. Not only that you get this idea that their feelings for each other are just unable to be broken it’s the strongest pull that one has to another BUT i feel like we were shown smut scenes and that was it in the romance side of this book.

I will most likely continue into the series because i am interested to see where the next book goes in the action side of the story. This author does a extremely good job at ending on a cliff hanger to want to bring you back.

Although this book was better than the first book, Blood and Ruin, it was still not that great, in my opinion. The first part of the book seemed to drag on, but it did pick up a bit as it kept going. Unfortunately, the plot felt a little flat. I usually enjoy multiple POVs, and although Kiarra's POV was great, I didn't really care for the alphas' POVS. The writing also felt repetitive, and the pacing just felt a little off.
Thank you NetGalley for this read :)

I was right. This book got spicier! While I enjoyed the spice and the characters getting to know each other, I feel the plot kinda fell flat. While it was interesting and exciting, it also felt a bit disjointed. Im hoping alot of the plot holes get resolved in book 3.

Magic:✨3/5

Worldbuilding: 🏗 1/5 it's not intense at all

3,5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Quick disclaimer Violence, Abuse, Rape intentions, Adult Content and language.

I don't want to spoil the first book for does, who haven't read it yet, so I will be a bit vague.

Kiarra is taken and her alphas are not happy about it, we will see a perspective on their side, their feelings and their efforts.
There's more development in the world and powers.
The book is fast-paced, with action after action, and the story evolves fast.
Some of this everything happened a bit fast but at the same time. we waited so much in the first book I'm not even mad. The Corn is corning in this book if you know what I mean.

Getting more and more spicy!
Book 1 is my favorite so far, but cant wait to hear what is next!

Publisher's summary
She was taken from us…again. And now she’s in the hands of that sadistic psycho. But thanks to our bond, we have abilities that surpass even the strongest of our kind. We’ll get her back. And when we do, those who have hurt her will pay. Along with anyone else who gets in our way....
Blood and Wrath is a paranormal romance and the second installment in the Blood and Ruin trilogy. The FMC will not have to choose between her five love interests, but this action-packed story contains violence, adult themes, bad-language, and content that some listeners may find upsetting.

Thank to NetGalley & Dreamscape Media for the ALC of Book 2!

Loved this audiobook! You can see improvement and growth from book one ( I loved book one as well !) I liked the different point of views and character development. The spice was definitely there! If you love brooding males with powerful females, this book is for you!

After not enjoying the first one as much as I would have liked, I decided to give the second a shot. Because I truly don't think you can make decisions on just one book from an author. But I have to say, I really didn't enjoy this one much either - I think I am done with this series. I think there is a spark of an idea here, the execution just isn't. Heavy repetition is used, and it just isn't exciting. The MC's are all bland and their individual traumas are fairly generic feeling. The plot itself dragged, giving the 'middle book syndrome' vibes.

The redeeming qualities were the narrators. All of them were excellent and did the best they could with the material they were given.

Special thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for an ALC in exchange for an honest review. Blood & Wrath is available now.

3.5 stars

The romance really amped up in this second installment and I am here for it! There's still angst between Kierra and the guys for various reasons, but they're seeing how capable she is as she comes into her abilities.

I do think the worldbuilding could be better and I struggle to keep track of who's who with the guys and what their supernatural capabilities are. To me, they aren't different enough and need more depth to really become their own people.

I love that the audiobook has narrators for each character! More of this please.

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All opinions are my own. Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the copy.

I’m going to give it a 4 because I was totally invested the entire time and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I do hope that the plot is more fleshed out in the next because if definitely took a backseat to the spice but…..that’s not really a complaint because WHEW 🥵!
There was a moment early on where there was some microphone noise but it wasn’t distracting!

This is the second book in the Blood and Ruin series.

While not for the faint of heart, this installment largely revolves around a reverse harem trope, evoking penthouse forum vibes with our main characters.

The book provides a substantial amount of world-building alongside numerous inner monologues. However, the writing tends to be somewhat repetitive, with phrases like 'mine,' 'mate,' and 'delicious' appearing on nearly every page. Despite featuring shifters, witches, and paranormal romances, the narrative fell short for me. It seemed rushed, more focused on setting up future novellas or a spin-off. Additionally, the rapid introduction of new characters made the storyline slightly confusing.

Overall, while it may not have fully met my expectations, fans of the series will still find plenty to enjoy in this continuation.

This review is based on an ARC provided for free by NetGalley. I want to thank the publisher, author and NetGalley for allowing me to review this book. These are my honest and voluntary opinions.

I am glad we were able to learn more about Kiara’s powers in the book, but I still have a lot of questions about her power and what it can do. The multiple perspectives of all the guys and Kiarra was a great change from the first book and gave so many insights into the bond of all the mates. I did have difficulty with the first half when the guys were separate from Kiarra, but once they were reunited the story really picked up the pace and was so interesting. I am looking forward to the next book on this series.

God I’m loving this series! It’s so good. The multiple POVs this book is exactly what it needed from the beginning imo. Full cast audio! Love that. There’s increased spice in this book. The tempo is the same as book 1 story wise.

A why choose romance must.
